Yeh, it was what did for Kennedy's career - he'd gone all-in on slagging off everyone talking about it, defending WWE to the hilt. Then he got done, and looked ridiculous.

Wasn't it Orton and Michaels and probably others complaining that he was reckless that got him canned? It was 2 years after the pharmacy scandal that they let him go. Then he worked for years in TNA.

  2. Can't stick Madeley myself, but it's a good shout. Reminds me that I'm always fond of a certain kind of British sports reporter, the kind that inspired the original Alan Partridge. Not that competent or knowledgeable, almost certainly have right wing views off camera and are prone to on air gaffes, but they're go just enough of a broadcasters sensibility to coast by. No one encapsulates this more than Jim Rosenthal.

Been seeing a hilarious story, in a way, doing the rounds on social media at the moment of this funeral being broadcast on Zoom and one of the viewers not realising that a Zoom call is a two way video. The family and service is going along all fine and dandy and this Doris is merrily standing in the shower shaving her armpits and suchlike without a care in the world.

Apparently she rocked up at the wake nonethewiser and within about 15mins she's balling her eyes out with shame and embarrassment.

Are you doing exclusively death and funeral content these days?

  4. Miz beating Cena in the main event of 27. To being in a 12 man tag as part of Johnny Ace's team at 28, alongside greats such as David Otunga and Jack Swagger and against a team that includes Santino and Zach Ryder. I think he got the winning pinfall, but still.

ooh, hang on I think I did this wrong. I did it as a ranking countdown instead of points. So it should be:

10 points Championship Manager 01/02 (PC)

  7. I went to it live last year, and thought it was a hoot, really enjoyed it. Watching it back a few weeks later, it definitely seemed pretty flat in comparison. Maybe it was it was because it was the first show that weekend, or the fact it was in a tiny venue, or even the fact I was rock hard for Ibushi.

  8. Slightly different point, but the one count thing is great when it's used very sparingly. It was brilliant in the Omega/Takeshita match last year. It was done at least twice on the last PPV, which is unacceptable really.

  9. It's sad, but it's not surprising. They don't want you as a fan, they don't even want the team to be in this league.

I gave up Chelsea for good after the Super League business, a long time coming, but I just can't be arsed to support a team that doesn't want me. I've not managed to pick another club because frankly I've got nothing but contempt for almost every other club in football, and can't be arsed to patronise a non league team.

  10. Willing to be corrected, but it's actually safety glass he's gone through, isn't it? The sort you get in cars that break into cubes. So though it cut Allin's back up because he went through it at speed and landed in it with force, it's very unlikely to have cut anyone in the audience. All of the cuts are small, rather than big slices you'd expect with just a normal pane.

I'm not in anyway suggesting its a perfectly safe bump, by the way. I just don't think it was that dangerous for bystanders.
