It was always about Rachel Mason for me. Â I've had a thing for Eva Pope ever since Tanya Pooley turned up in Corrie in the mid-90s.

I knew Giant Haystacks had toured All Japan in the mid-80s (he was never invited back after they realised how bad he was) but had never seen any footage.  Crazy to think he once shared a ring with Giant Baba! No idea if the uploader is our @Lord-Mountevans

Midnight Run starring Robert DeNiro and Charles Grodin is on Film4 at 21:00 or Film4+1 an hour later.
It was a thread on this board that made me check it out and I'm glad I did.  Give it a watch, it's bloody fantastic!

How about the Brain Busters vs ECW's Pitbulls from an episode of Wrestling Challenge in 1989.  Durante & Wolfe did a few squashes as a team on WWF TV back then; there are also matches against the Rougeaus, the Hart Foundation and the Twin Towers on YouTube.

Yeah unfortunately a lot of them arenât going to make my Top 50 of the 2000s, just because of how many great fights spanned so many different promotions in that period that I want to include.
Just looking at that list though and Iâm immediately reminded how much I enjoyed fights like Riggs vs Stiebling from WEC 9 and Hominick vs Jabouin from WEC 49.
One that a lot of people probably didnât see as well was Will Campuzano vs Coty Wheeler from WEC 46. Iâll go ahead now and say that I havenât seen it since probably the day after it happened. I donât even know how I saw it at the time because it was on the unaired prelims but I remember watching it in ropey quality once, absolutely loving it, then the video disappeared and I never saw it again. Looking up the card now, I see it got FOTN so it mustâve been at least good. But itâs one of those fights I thought would be buried in the vault forever. Hopefully itâs on Fight Pass, canât see why it wouldnât be. Iâm going to have to have a look soon and see if it lives up to my memories of it. Wasnât Lawler vs Rory 2 or anything but I just recall loving the fight at the time.Â
Campuzano vs Wheeler never aired on TV so it's one I've definitely not seen before. Revisitng that list it's crazy to think that Cerrone has been putting on these barn burner fights for over twelve years now. Â I used to trade DVDs with a guy in the States who would record WEC, Strike Force and UFC Fight Nights for me and I'd send him wrestling stuff in return. Â The excitement when I'd receive a parcel, see the U.S. postmark and know it's the latest WEC event. Â Seeing names like Rich Crunkilton, Razor Rob, Shane Roller it does feel like another lifetime ago.Â

I loved the WEC between 2007 and 2010, but I can only remember their biggest fights. I would be clueless if someone asked me to name their best events.Â
Haha, no I just used to keep fairly detailed notes on the MMA shows I watched and just referred back to them. Â Without those I would've struggled to name more than a dozen fights and next to no chance of remembering what cards they were on bar (the PPV and the Pettis/Henderson final show).

Fuck, canât believe I overlooked Jorgensen vs Banuelos! That was probably my favourite fight on the card and I didnât mention it.
WEC 50âs a good shout as well. To be honest, you canât go wrong with anything from about WEC 34 with the first Faber vs Pulver fight. They put on great fights before that of course, but for me 34-53 is always going to be WEC at its best.Â
I went back through my old notes and here's a list of the best WEC fight in my opinion. I could have easily doubled this if I'd included brutal KO's, awesome submissions, great individual performances etc but had to draw the line somewhere. There's about half a dozen shows that I never saw, but this does include everything from the Zuffa era. I've spoilered it in case anyone just wants to follow Wand's "Best of the 2000's" thread, but there is plenty of choice stuff in here if someone wants to check out what the WEC was all about.

WEC 53 12.16.10 Benson Henderson vs Anthony Pettis -
I'll add another vote to  Bushido 9.  Not a bad fight on the card and three legitimate 'Fight of the Year' contenders on one show.
WEC 41 also has Scott Jorgensen vs Antonio Banuelos which is a real good fight alongside some highlight reel finishes and the excellent Mike Brown vs Urijah Faber rematch. Â Pretty much every WEC from 40 onwards is worth watching and has at least one great fight on it. Â The PPV (48) is an obvious starting point but I'll recommend WEC 50 also as that has an incredible Scott Jorgensen vs Brad Pickett fight, an excellent Dominick Cruz vs Joseph Benavidez main event and a really good Shane Roller vs Anthony Pettis fight. Â The lone downer on that card is the Chad Mendes fight but everything else is superb.

Will someone bite the bullet and watch Quiz on ITV player and tell me if it's worth my time. It's got Sheen doing his impressions and Macfadyen is pretty good value anyway but you know, ITV.
Also, Westworld this week was fucking great, really great.
I watched it on ITV over the past three nights and enjoyed it. Â You certainly come out of it questioning things and there is plenty there for you to decide whether they were guilty or not.
Macfadyen, Mark Bonnar and Helen McCrory were all very good in it I thought.

I wonder if the producers are being put on furlough, rather than fired? Any definite confirmation either way?Â
According to the report on the Observer website, some have been furloughed, some have been fired, although it doesn't specify who.
Billy Kidman gone too (I don't recall seeing his name mentioned yet).

Of all the people so far, I'm sad to see Drake Maverick go, because he clearly loved it - but he's going to do really well out there. Selfishly, he's the one I want to see most in AEW.
Is also one of the only few that I think AEW should hire (along with Lio and maybe Sarah Logan - their women's division needs some help and bolstering).

It's not something you can quantify, but I'd wager there are just as many times that Cornette missed the boat with someone, a la Batista, or backed the wrong horse as there were times he got someone over to the next level - no one's exactly singing the praises of SMW headliners Tom Prichard, Dirty White Boy, Bobby Blaze and Bull Buchanan, and in terms of getting a second wind for old Southern stalwarts, Heyman in ECW probably had a better crack of the whip with Tommy Rich, Tommy Rogers and Tracy Smothers in Philadelphia than Jim Cornette did in Kentucky.Â
As someone who has watched every episode of Smoky Mountain television up to November 1994 and an awful lot of the major shows, I've got no qualms whatsoever about singing the praises of the Dirty White Boy who was awesome in the territory.  Face, heel, it didn't matter, he excelled in either role.  He was a tremendous interview, he was a great brawler, could induce sympathy, had an amazing partnership with Ron Wright and had  good matches too.  I'll happily sing the praises of Tom Prichard also and there's not a chance Heyman did better with Tracey Smothers than Cornette did either.  I'll give you Bobby Blaze though!

There used to be a website that detailed old-school British wrestling results (I'm thinking getting on for 15 plus years ago) but can't for the life of me remember what it's called and that had a Daddy win/loss record in it (not itvwrestling.co.uk). I remember spotting my local town on it and trying to work out the card that I saw him on at the local swimming baths (it was Daddy and either Greg Valentine or Danny Collins vs Drew McDonald & Syd Cooper).
*EDIT*Â http://web.archive.org/web/20090210100608/http://britishwrestlingarchive.co.uk/BIG DADDY.htm
It was called the British Wrestling Archive and I found it in the Wayback Machine. Â Link takes you to Daddy's career won/loss record.

Peter 'the Cat' Bonetti at 78. Â Some day this is turning into.

Danny Sebastian with a ÂŁ91 overall profit on today's episode earlier! Â I wouldn't have believed it either if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.

Jeff Osborne was the guy behind the Hook'n'Shoot promotion, which was one of the first promotions to properly feature Women's MMA.
There's a really good article about him here from the MMAJunkie forums.
I didn't know he was a pro wrestler at one point until reading that, but did know he was big into tape trading and I'm pretty certain he owns some Memphis master tapes (or at least did at one point).  I've got a handheld of a USWA show from Evansville in either 1991 or 1992 and Osborne filmed it  as well as giving a brief introduction before the footage starts.

there is no need to slag me off on here you need to get your facts straight I had a few problems over the past couple of years with severe depression and money problems which unfortunately affected my trading of discsÂ
If you think that is "slagging you off" you should hear me when I really get going! Â Which facts would they be then? Â This one
QuoteRe: Gazthejaz's service
Nice guy, but least satisfying exchange in 20 years of trading.
Wrong order was delivered twice before I ended it - took 2 months to get to that point.
He offered a relevant refund and was apologetic throughout but couldn't deliver.

Bad trader.

How about this one?
QuoteHe has decided to block me after I did not like his response to my questions.
He apparently spent the money I sent him so he cannot finish the order until payday. Â Now he has blocked all contact. Â I can only assume I will never get my discs
- Edgehead from a different thread on 5/31/18
Did you mean this one?
Quotewho are the best people to trade with on here now.
very disappointed with gaz the jazz lately
- harlow2 on 6/11/18
No, you meant this one didn't you?
QuoteHave you got the money you owe me from over a year ago, you know when you said you had certain discs took the money then stated you didn't have them and had spent the money
- SBD on 9/7/19
And I am well aware you refunded SBD the money after OVER A YEAR and plenty of badgering so don't even try to claim "you made good".Â
That took a matter of minutes and I imagine there are plenty more comments like that if I looked a little harder.
Oh yes, what happened to you selling off your collection in the "huge closing down sale"? Â
That appears to have been nothing but a front to try and drum up some sales as you still continue to reply to posts like this.
It's also pretty low to play the "depression" and "money problem" cards to explain your poor reputation as a trader.  So what, you had money problems so then decided to rip people off on here to try and overcome them? (You don't need to answer that, I don't care)
I never liked people who used to rip others off when I was heavily into trading and that remains now I am long out of the game.
Anyway if you think you're "reputable" so be it, I'm pointing out some posts from this board.  Anyone can make of those what they will.

It's either a sign of isolation-madness or some other problem but I'm having quite good fun looking at all those faces. Loads of people in there multiple times, a fair few people I don't recognise at all (mostly people who I assume are low-level NXT or NXT-UK, and all the tiny faces at the top), and a surprising number of kids amongst everything else.
By "personalities" I'm guessing they mean "gimmicks" hence you get 1-2-3 Kid as well as X-Pac, Demolition Smash and Repo Man, JBL and APA Bradshaw and so on.

I'm selling off a sizeable portion of my collection, some of the stuff is hereÂ
I have a ton more WWF (TV sets, my entire WWF handheld collection, some house shows, compilations, home video, post -'96 PPVs etc), WCW (loads of NWA and WCW TV) and a bunch of TNA PPVs.
With the situation as it is I'm not really going out much but depending on how soon you are looking for stuff drop me a message if you want and I'll tidy up my sale list and send it your way.
