  1. Getting fucked off with complete spunk fest over Fernandes and Pogba.

Pogba did well against Spurs, Fernandes played one really good pass and scored a penalty, now they’re like the best thing ever. Fuck off!

Did anyone see the fan that paid for a cardboard cutout of Bin Laden to be seated at Elland Road 🤣🤣

Once again I’d point out that this forum’s admirable efforts to come to terms with all this will look better is some posts aren’t from or liked by posters with names like “Rapey Eyes”.

Surely some mod can get hold of Moo and get the admin power to rename the poor bastards who got saddled with what I hope we’re all mature enough to admit are inappropriate names.

Edit: this thread is also turning into the Kamikazee thread.  The lad’s not going to learn, just ignore him.

I have DM’d him. Maybe Neil or another mod can delete this account

Something happened at Clash of the Champions 32 show between Bobby Heenan and Flyin Brian Pillman. Heenan being his usual heel self was praising Pillman for what he was doing in the ring, Pillman got knocked out the ring, went behind Heenan, took his jacket off is back and Heenan yelled out with mic on still "What the F are you doing?" he seemed very annoyed by it, he walked away to leave, then came back, apologized for his actions and commentated back on the match between Pillman and Guerrero. It seemed to came out of nowhere as if it wasn't a work or planned, anyone remember it?

Bobby had recent neck or back surgery I think and from what I’ve read previous wasn’t expecting anyone to grab him at all and may have even thought it was a fan that grabbed him

  4. Bono you should try to be empathetic to how black people feel. You and I can never understand what they have to go through but we can try to understand the issues and work to make society better.

Saying it is as good as it will ever he is not acceptable. We should call people out when they make ignorant comments or when friends share derogatory memes. We should educate people rather than just burying heads in the sand and accepting it.

On a more personal, anecdotal level, and outside of the topic of policing, I grew up in a small village in East Yorkshire that, for most of the time I lived there, was overwhelmingly white - I could literally count on the fingers of one hand the non-white individuals who lived there, not even different non-white families. I have mixed race family who live elsewhere. A few years ago, my parents moved back to the area. While they were house-hunting, I was on a train with my Dad and my aunt, and they were talking about where they might move to, and named one of the nearby towns. My aunt said that she couldn't live there because people would stare at her (black) daughter. That isn't economic or class-based; she's the daughter of a social worker, lives in a decent part of London, has a good degree and works for a tech start-up - she's not being stopped because of her class, or because of her economic standing, she's being stopped because she has black skin.

The tone of this may get lost as it is in writing.

Did your Aunt know for sure that people would stare at her daughter or is she making an assumption?

That account isn't saying they're from the weekend?

It's like other accounts where there are images and video of police brutality from long ago is being used as evidence of what's happening now, even though not called out as such. Just because neither happened 'this weekend' it doesn't mean it's wrong that it happened, but it is wrong for people to try to discredit it by adding their own context.

  7. I don’t normally watch Good Morning Britain, there was a debate on there about what’s happening in America. There was some white fella from America advocating Trump using the ‘looting and shooting’ quote. A black guy from London was saying how it was making it worse, the white guy in America used the ‘people like you’ clearly referencing his race. It’s a fucking state out there. Absolute arseholes.

Also saw something on Twitter that made me chuckle - ‘Rulers that hide in bunkers - Hitler and Trump’

Looks like people have known for a while. I’m absolutely shocked, and I know they are Tories, but the justifications to protect him have been demoralising and disgusting, and I fear this will change nothing. We should be holding them to task, it’s just one thing after another

The entire thing stinks. All of the ministers that have backed him are publicly accusing the popo of lying, are condoning his behaviour by saying he’s putting family first, I don’t necessarily have a problem with that if the guidance was the same for everyone in the country. I see the guardian and mirror have got witnesses saying not only was he in Durham when he shouldn’t have been (a second time, after he was back in London working again) he actually went to another town 30 miles away. It really fucking stinks, I don’t see how any form of lockdown can be policed.

  9. Is the fascination with wrestlers being in the WWE Hall of Fame some sort of 'highest honour' they can achieve? Most people, in life, not just wresting are extremely egotistical, so I can see that if they think that it is the highest honour they can achieve, it is the highest honour that everyone can achieve.

Bret and his entire family are so wrestling orientated and will let anything go for the recognition they can receive out of it. Quite rightly Martha is having none of it.

I can imagine this program being a tough watch, I'll always remember Mark Henry and I think Mick Foley saying how much Owen loved his family and was such a family man. It's still fairly crushing now.

  10. I've always had a soft spot for Everton, probably because of Nick Barmby going there from Spurs. I also probably like them cause they're like Spurs, play some absolutely beautiful football on occasion, but always flatter to deceive when it really matters.

Did they get into the champions league one year for finishing fourth? I think that may have been the same season as Liverpool winning in Istanbul.

  11. I've come back with my tail between my legs about Troy Deeney.

I stand by the 0.8% not being that high compared to the other tests being done, nothing can ever be safe or risk free. I don't know what safe means in this case, especially when it seems that this will be around for a long period of time, maybe forever

0.8% of the tests result in a positive test. Is that a shock? Nobody was expecting it to be 0.

What's the appetite for risk? 0.8% is probably as good as it will ever get, without a vaccine it will never get down to 0.

As for Troy Deeney's point, don't turn up to training, but don't start explaining your reasons. There are probably 1000's of key workers going to work with issues that are as bad, if not worse than Deeney's situation. They're not crying about it in the press, they're going to work because they have to survive. Guess old Troy is going to be locked in his house until we get a vaccine.

I almost forgot how crazy Vince is for a bit. Almost. The loyalty, friendship and respect between those two is really heartwarming in the weirdest way possible.

They've both made themselves very rich, sure if the Undertaker wasn't around, Vince would have still been raking it in but his drawing power certainly did no harm. It was mentioned a lot that the Undertaker stayed when everyone else moved to WCW, so I guess Vince probably has a tonne of respect for that too.

It was sad to see Taker putting his body through hell, I'm not sure whether this was for his ego, or to provide entertainment to the fans. It was nice to see a human side to Taker though, and some of the shots from the early to mid 90's with Bret, Razor, Owen, Paul Bearer etc.

The one thing I did take from it though, was how cool would it be for the Undertaker to be your dad? Maybe I'm alone in that.

I've ended up on a live stream of the K league.

They've got mannequins in the crowd, in what might be the single creepiest thing I've seen so far in this weird new world.

I believe they are actually autons, being controlled by the nestene consciousness via 5G masts

  15. My commute is on the central line, on the journey in I get on at the end of the line and the train would be full by the 3rd or 4th stop, by the time it gets to Woodford it’s mega jammed and Leyton is an absolute free for all as is Stratford and Mile End. There is absolutely no way this can be policed. Not sure what they’ll do, I do know I won’t be getting on anytime soon.

I'd understood a "face covering" is recommended but not mandatory, based on Johnson saying it's advised but you won't be fined for not wareing one. Is that right because some people I work with are under the impression it's now a legal requirement to leave the house.

Yes it’s not illegal as I believe the experts couldn’t be persuaded by the science that it works. As such they couldn’t be bothered putting it in to law. Or so I read on the BBC
