  1. Erm, spoilers? I've just gone onto the WWE app to read the Raw preview. There's a section on the nominees of the Slammy's, there's no spaces just full on text of each award, presenter, nominees with (WINNER) in big letters after, presumably, each winner.

    Anywhere running a book...?

Edit, it's not for all the awards, just a dozen or so eg Faction of the Year 'The Shield' and Crowd of the Year 'Raw after Mania'. Pretty predictable. Still looks that horrendous it can't be intentional.

They are WWE.com's awards. They're meant to be revealed on the run up to the show. The main awards will be voted for and won on RAW itself.

    Edit: *Beaten to it*

  2. So am I right in thinking that we will have to watch this on our laptops? Pretty sure I already do that for free.

I get we *can* watch this stuff on our PC currently (illegally), but for me your paying for the convenience, half decent stream and the fact that it is on demand.

$10 a month to watch the latest Raw, Smackdown and the PPVs on demand, via my iPad, PS3 (?) and laptop? Sounds like a frikkin good deal to me. I'm in.

  3. Im starting to get a bit worried, How the hell will they intro 2 new main heros into one film? Also how are they going to explain where she was when earth was being raped by Zod?

That one is easy. She's an amazon, and they are a bunch of dicks. In the comics, before they are discovered, they have a policy of not interfering in "mans world." Wonder Women eventually leaves the amazonians to help bring justice to the evil man has brought to his lands. Or something like that.

As for Batman though... not sure. But in all fairness... he is more of a "street level" vigilante and based in Gotham. He would be massively out of his depth on his own against a intergalactic empire.

Personally I imagine Wonder Women is just going to be the briefest of cameo. Maybe even "Nick Fury in Iron Man" brief.

  4. Loved the episode. Great stuff - don't have much more to add than that, really!

My question, it's not spoiler-y but it's something from a prior episode or series that I must have forgotten. Smith kept mentioning a 400-year gap between him and the other incarnations... when were those 400 years? Was it when the Master had Tennant's Doctor locked up for ages in one of the series finales?

I remember a large number of those years occurred when both Matt Smith's doctor and David Tennant's doctor kept running from their doomed futures. Eventually they realise they are delaying the inevitable. They kind of casually mention it ("oh I've decided to spent a few hundred years pissing about") just before a series finale.

  5. I hate check ins but I genuinely get pissed off if somebody else checks me in somewhere.

You can set it up in your settings so that you have to approve it before it appears with your name. Fucking life saver that.

Personally I like the check in thing, but that's likely to do with the way the Australian lifestyle works over here. Generally people go to a bar, check in, and their mates can pop in for a swift pot.

  6. Anyone else thinking that Sandow still has the original blue case and might still win the World Title?

That'd be fantastic. They just take the case when MITB is cashed in, what if they reveal next week that the officials opened the chocolate case and it was empty, making the Cena vs Sandow match null and void? It'd fit Sandow's character perfectly and give his character more heat in addition to the in-ring credibility he got through his pre-match aggression and subsequent effort.

What a muppet Sandow would be. He threw the kitchen sink at an injured Cena, smashed the shit out of him with the case and came as close as he will ever come to getting a victory over him and he did this without the Money in the Bank contract in his briefcase?

From what I remember from an interview from a previous Smackdown, Sandow actually got a "brand new MITB contract." I'm personally suggesting he might have two contracts, both of which are valid.

    In fact, here's the promo:

  7. What I'm looking forward to most out of all that is that inevitable first time Orton lines up a punt. When he stepped back into the corner in the segment with Miz last week, I got chills, even though the chair on Miz's head meant it was obviously going to be something else. The reaction when he lines up the punt on Bryan will be great. They've done really well to hold back with that up until now.

He's done the punt (or tried to) this year, hasn't he? I'm sure I remember him going for it in a match with Big Show.

You might be right, I'm not entirely sure. But still, the moment he goes for it on Bryan will be a good one. Everyone'll know the shit's going down then.

Yep. Orton beat Big Show with the punt on the Extreme Rules PPV. It got an awesome pop too.

  8. I'd love to see the WWE Title decided in a "Deadly Games" esque one night tournament. Set it up so that Orton has a easier route to the belt than Bryan, whilst at the same time teasing the idea that maybe Triple H is convinced Orton isn't the true 'corporate champion' like he first envisioned.

I reckon the next PPV could be really interesting... but at the same time... I'm worried we will just get the typical lazy Orton vs. Bryan 1 on 1.

  9. I've just read #1 of the new Forever Evil series. Pretty good thus far, and definitely leaves you wanting to know more. Also, DC Universe vs Masters Of The Universe?!?

As a kid I'd have happily gave my right nut for that comic book series!

Agreed, it's a great premise and looking forward to it unfold. But I was really disappointed with 'Trinity War'. It was effectively a glorified setup to Forever Evil and at best fell massively flat at the end*.

It wouldn't bother me so much, but clearly this is a new strategy by DC. They did something not that long ago with Green Lantern. They hyped up 'The Third Army' event, but just as it begins to pick up, it suddenly ends and you realise it was a setup for the "real" mega event 'The First Lantern'.

*SPOILER - Highlight the black box to read

With the exception of what happened to Cyborg at the end. That was just nasty.

  10. "After a long recovery process & being promised by the President of TNA Impact Wrestling TNA Dixie Carter I would always have a job with her company, I recently was released from my current contract & shown that those promises were false. During my time away from the ring I decided to pursue bodybuilding & have been prepping for the Hurricane Bay bodybuilding show in Tampa, FL on Oct.5th,2013 but now due to my recent released I will have to drop out of my show. A friend of mine told me about this site and if anyone would like to help and contribute I would be so grateful and appreciate any donations. "

(Good chance I'm going to get yelled at... but oh well...)

Wasn't Sorensen cleared to compete back in November of 2012? That's what I read.

If so, I don't feel all that bad for him (especially if he himself has decided not to continue his in ring career). Granted he was injured on "TNA's watch", but they did the right to him. They financially supported him during (and beyond) his recovery, and gave him steady employment for 16-17 months. He's now healthy (or as healthy as a pro wrestler can be) and pursuing other interests.

A company is not responsible for supporting you ONCE you are recovered. IF he has been cleared to wrestle again, then I really don't see why TNA should feel bad about this.

Am I being harsh? The impression I'm getting from reading Wikipedia is that Jesse has stopped wrestling on his own terms.

And at the risk of sounding like a cold hearted bastard... no... I'm not donating money so that he can take part in his bodybuilding hobby. Sorry. We all lose our jobs and forced to drop hobbies as a result. Man up... get a new job... and try again another time when finances are better. Asking for money to cover your medical bills is one thing... but this?

  11. I've got no problem with people being anti violence but i've always taken issue with someone taking a paycheck for something then slagging it off (especially before it comes out - thus potentially harming it's success).

If anything it's probably awesome PR for the film. kick Ass 2 is so violent that it Carrey readjust his philosophy on life? I'm fucking there!

In all seriousness I think the backlash has been a bit harsh. Carrey comes across as fairly genuine and conflicted as to his reasons for not promoting the movie... however I do thing it would of been more tasteful to keep schtum about his feelings, chalk it up to experience, and quietly choose his next roles carefully. Not announce it on Twitter.

  12. Why "should" she be working??

If she can stay at home, why shouldn't she?

Keep in mind I know her and her family very well. There's a very looooong story behind it but will try to summarise.

She has a huge amount of support available to her, including in the form of other family members who work part time and a mother who is retired and ready to help her out. Also the father of her children is around who takes the kids on a week on / week off basis.

The reason she has this support is because after a failed relationship, she moved back into the family home after they had already remortgaged the home and she had taken her share of the home. It's very "prodigal son" if your familiar with that biblical story; she returned home having squandered her money but was welcome back with open arms by her family.

The idea was that, yes, she can move back in, and yes, the family will help her with her children, but she has debts and financial responsibilities to resolve.

That's why she SHOULD get a job... Because she can and by not doing so is placing a significant financial burden onto her family.

  13. I know a twat who actually has that as her occupation

Ai me too. It's odd, because her kids are old enough that they go to school, and I know her well enough to know she CAN (and should) be working. Yet sets her occupation as a "professional stay at home mummy". Ugh.

  14. You forgot to edit her name out of the URL too. Vicky Macauly will love the UKFF asking for side-on pictures of her tits.

It's ok, her profile is private. Er so I'm told anyway...

I'm sure I've seen that girl somewhere, but I don't know her personally. How do you know her, Donkey Dick?

She added me years ago. I dont know her personally

Is this a common thing on Facebook? Adding people you don't know? I mean, I've added people on here or people I've interacted with over Twitter etc but I'd not accept a friend request from someone I knew nothing about. Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

THANK YOU! I am utterly baffled by anyone adding anyone you don't know.

I've noticed this a lot on the various joke sites like LameBook.com and FailBlog.com. I often see things like:

Girl: Oh my God, why is it I can't find a nice man in my life?

Boy: I'd take you out for a drink :)

Girl: Errrrr... sorry. Who are you?

    Boy 2: ROFL. Burn.

I just read this and wonder.... "Hang on a minute you little slag. How come if you don't know him, he's able to comment on your post?!? That says more about YOU than it does about him."

Interestingly my best mate GF (who is 10 years younger than me) uses Facebook in a completely different way. Whereas I have 300 ish people on my friendship list, she has around 2,500 +. Many of which she dosen't know. It's all about the friend numbers. In fact I'm sure you can "buy" Facebook friends online to artificially increase your numbers.

  15. Women who post half naked photos of themselves then write status's like this...

    343t5l3.jpg

    Attention seeking whore

Edit... Forgot to edit out my other facebook accounts name.. Feel free to add my Dog...

    A) I like how your dog is the giving the advice.

And B) I love how she completely misses the point. "if you don't like them don't look at them?" Huh? At wha't point did you complain about her breasts?

But yeah, I get pretty strict about removing attention seeking people and the immensely negative. Also it amazes me the amount of people I know who go on to have very open racist / intolerant / homophobic views is surreal.

    Might have a cull tonight.

  16. Dixie Carter President of TNA Wrestling

    Exciting meetings today in Chicago!

New rules coming to X-Division matches starting on 3/21 on Impact LIVE.

Interesting, I can see it just being a weight limit though. Any ideas?

I've always wanted to see genuine rules changes to distinguish it from the heavyweight division. No DQ, a strict time limit etc... just anything to justify the fact that X division are (supposed) to be faster moving than standard matches.
