  1. I feel like this situation sucks for Darrick Minner, assuming he wasn't in on it all, but you're a prelim guy barely making any money and fuck up your knee right before...well what are you gonna do. Now you're cut and probably tarnished with this for the rest of your career.

UFC could easily prevent this by paying out fighters who get injured. How many times have we seen guys fighting with awful injuries at this point.

    Imagine not liking football though.

Yeah turn in your man card if you don't like footie...next you'll be telling me you don't like big tits!!!

  3. We had a major launch at work about a month ago and so some high up sends out a "Thank You" email to some 200+ recipients...ending with "Please include anyone I've missed"...which lead to a bunch of middle managers wanting to chime in with their thanks. Of course one middle manager ain't about to sit there and not reply when others are so it started a domino effect. Ended up with 75+ emails on this chain going to hundreds of people.

  4. Picked up a few bags of crisps from a discount store here recently that were interesting. Rare to find in the US but they had some Mackies which I find to have excellent potato flavour - these were Aberdeen Angus and Crispy Bacon, both quite tasty.

The more unusual bags for me were from some Spanish company called Rubio. They had a few different flavours but I went with Black Caviar and Wasabi. The Wasabi was decent, a mild horseradish really that paired well with the Mackies. But the Black Caviar was disgusting, imagine black olive mixed with seaweed...disgusting.

    Idlewild

Blimey that makes me feel old. A long long time ago a teenage Neil, wearing a sick combination of a billabong t-shirt, cargos, and airwalk shoes, saw them at The Garage back in probably 98. Think I still have "Captain" on CD somewhere.

  6. I really wonder how Conor will be looked back on in say 5 years time. Even his biggest claim of "First Double Champ" feels pretty weak these days given others have done it, never defended either, and personally for me it isn't even that impressive to begin with given the way UFC sets up matches.

I'm clearly on the side of disliking him and he has plenty of people who feel strongly the other way, but I do wonder what the general take will be looking back on his career.

  7. Marks & Spencers for me. Something about them growing up when my mum would be dragging me around that would immediately result in aching joints and incredibly tiredness - desperately finding the scant sitting places (normally meant the womens shoe section much to their annoyance). Be there for an hour while my Mum bought nothing feeling like my soul was being slowly extracted. Also something incredibly annoying about people who refer to it as "Markses" or "Marks & Sparks".

Also worth mentioning any newsagents that had one of them "No more than 2 children at a time" signs up despite there being no way to see who was actually in there. Just an excuse for a moany cunt to yell at children.

    Danis' BJJ credentials are legit

Well credential wise yeah, but he is as impressive in the competitive BJJ world as he is in the MMA world. He got his black belt from Marcelo Garcia but also got kicked out of there for twatish behavior. He was more respected when he was a brown belt but has really done nothing of note as a black belt.

I know neither of these fine nations are in the World Cup finals. But -

Is it too late to include San Marino?

Nothing was better than San Marino going immediately 1-0 up against England back in the 94 world cup qualifiers.
