Out of curiosity, how much would this lot be worth?

    spacer.png

Someone selling it on an auction site here for approx £100, which seems steep based on the last time I saw how much Hasbros were going for.

£100 may be a little bit of a stretch, Demolition there with Crush and the original masks go for a decent amount loose, I probably would have split this lot and sold those separately.

I think generally though interest in the Hasbro line has shot up dramatically in the past couple of years.  I've currently got my green card Crush MOC listed on eBay and he's currently at £520 with several days to go.  I had the no idea that Hasbro's carded had shot up in this sort of value, I went through a stage of re-buying as many moc Hasbro figures around twenty years ago in the early days of eBay and they now seem to be fetching five fold the price compared to then.

  2. If anyone is still after AEW series 1 figures they are now in stock at The Entertainer via their website.  They currently have a 25 percent off sale on everything (aside from Lego) and yesterday the figures were initially included in the offer.  As of today due to the figures popularity they've changed the offer to "25 percent off of everything excluding Lego and AEW" and put a limit on 2 per customer.  They've been going for silly money on the secondary market over the past two months!

Matt Cardona, Bryan Myers, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson are going to be in a new range from Super 7 which will be the same scale as Elites/NJPW/AEW

Could be a great line, though I'm not overly impressed with the names mentioned.  I'm a big fan of Super 7, their Andre The Giant deluxe figure is fantastic and their upcoming NJPW figures look ace as well.

Have all the matches for the PPV tonight been pre taped like WrestleMania?  I can't be arsed with this empty venue bollocks. It just doesn't work without the atmosphere of a crowd.

EDIT: After checking the wiki page it's only the two ladder matches that have been pre recorded. The whole card looks atrocious anyway. Surely even the die hard fans will be thinking about giving this one a swerve

With the premise of this year's money in the bank, it should definitely be attracting the "Die Hard" fans.

Why are the bookies implying Gronkowski wins the Universal Title at Mania?

Haven't we had this before that any mention of match betting must be marked as spoilers?  The betting sites are a giveaway of results at the best of times, as this is pre taped that makes it even worse!

Anyone gone with wrestling travel for this one we have booked for LA next year with them wonder what the hotel you have been given Is like for this year if you have

Wrestling Travel are well known con men aren't they?  They usually put people up in the worst possible hotels miles away from civilisation!

Don't want to be knocking anyone here but as somebody who has done several big shows in the states including five Wrestlemanias, I really can't fathom why somebody would require a third party to organise their trip???

Do you reckon he was actually swearing, or that they threw in some bleeps for effect?

From what I gathered they just bleeped out the words "white trash" both times.

Yup. Seems pretty injury prone but might be his style that needs adjusting as he sometimes seemed to be trying too hard to fit in when all he really needs is a veteran to tell him to stop all the crazy shit.

Not my favourite wrestler and not sure he ever suited being the top guy in Impact, so doesn't feel like as big a loss as many who have left the company in the past. But he should thrive in a bigger roster and a product with more eyeballs as there aren't enough steroid freaks in wrestling today.

On a completely unrelated note, what is the deal with AEW contracts? How is it that the likes of Jimmy Havoc appear on MLW and AEW yet that's not the case with others?

It's been announced today that MJF has now finished up with MLW and will be working exclusively with AEW.  I'd assume that Havoc will shortly be finishing with MLW also.

  9. What's everyone's current view on Nick Aldis as the NWA's marquee performer?  It's always struck me over the years that the general consensus on him was that he had the look but didn't possess the skills or charisma to be anything more than a lower mid card talent.  But this is where I think everything truly comes down to presentation being key, and why we held some stars or the past on pedestals regardless of limited talent. I'm  buying into him as a big deal and each and every week he comes across as a massive star worthy of being a company figurehead.

Just woke up to this on my Twitter stream a few minutes ago. Been and checked https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.cagesideseats.com/platform/amp/2020/1/12/21062143/la-parka-dies-lucha-libre-legend-aaa

Many great memories of him in WCW and he had an amazing match with Sabu in MLW.

    RIP LA PARKA

This is AAA's La Parka.  The WCW La Parka is still alive and well and an active part of MLW's roster, he's also in London next month at Rev Pro's next York Hall show.

For those interested, wrestlecon location has been confirmed- live events will be at the ritz in ybor (which is the same as the  ritz in most northern British towns), whereas the convention will be at George Steinbrenner field - a baseball stadium, right next to raymond James. They’re 5-6 miles apart, so definitely lacks convenience of ones I’ve attended in the past - though you could Uber between them cheaply enough.  Surprised they didn’t use a hotel in downtown Tampa but I’m sure there were reasons.

    https://www.wrestlecon.com/

They've made it very clear over the past few years now that with every passing year WWE makes their life more and more difficult in terms of what venues they can approach.

Brilliant. I was hoping for something like this and they delivered. They’ve got my time every week.

We’ll see how quickly the ‘real men’ verbiage lasts until it wears a bit thin, other than that, absolutely great presentation & Wrestling.

Those brooch / lapels look amazing on those suit jackets.
