Robbie Dynamite is absolutely incredible. Hope we see him in November.
Â
SHOULD be heading for the daytime and night time shows on night two. Got my tickets and bus and stuff. Still not 100% confirmed for the day off work, but I've been told it's more than likely. Might have pissed a lot of money up the wall, but fuck it. That's my risk to take.

Off to see 'Rush' tonight, which looks right up my street.
Â
One the subject of DVDs i've finally cracked open the boxset of 'Band Of Brothers' some 10 years after everybody else it seems, up to episode 5 so far and it's phenominal and i'm told gets even better
Â
Rush is really, really good. It doesn't play like a true story, if that makes sense, and Hemsworth makes for a magnificent dickhead.
Â
Bruhl was the standout of the movie for me. Terrific stuff. It's a really good movie as you say. The race scenes were a bit loud though. Ridiculously off putting.

Were they even after Jesse at the end? It seemed like their priorities had changed when they noticed Walt had been arrested and were trying to kill Hank and Gomie because they needed him free for that one last cook. Walt had already called the Jesse hit off.
Â
I'm thinking though that they made a deal that if they kill Jesse, he cooks for them. They shook hands on it ( the way it was played out, a big deal was made of the handshake ) so I think they'd still be coming after Jesse.
-
They were shooting like Stormtroopers. Did a single bullet go towards the car Jesse was in?!
-
Add Kris Travis vs. Chris Masters to that evening show on Day 2 and you're looking at probably the best card on paper PCW have ever put on, if it's not already there.
-
It's a genuine MOTYC. The ending of the match is absolutely phenomenal, which fitted the whole match which had me going mental watching it.

Â
Vince Gilligan was doing an interview not long ago and was asked if he had any favourite memes or videos, and he brought this up. I love it.
-
I really don't find Melissa McCarthy funny.
Â
Is she one of those "I'm funny because I'm fat" sorts?
Â
I've liked her in Bridesmaids and Identity Thief ( neither of which even remotely alluded to her size ), but I seen The Heat, and her role in that was basically "I'm an annoying fat person that swears".
-
American Horror Story isn't even remotely awkward to judge as far as being the one show goes. Unless you also want to count every episode of The Twilight Zone as being different shows as well.
-
American Horror Story's first season was so bad it was good. Got a lot of laughs from it. The second season was properly brilliant though, and the third looks great too.
Â
There's been so many shit TV horrors coming out of the woodshed recently, it's good to see one that's good.
-
I mentioned that a couple of days ago. Didn't he also take a German Suplex off of the apron through a table from CM Punk or something like that?
-
He's got a weird sort of goofyness about him, makes him near impossible to dislike.
-
Add me to the Michael Elgin fanclub. He's wowed me big time over the past year or so. Love watching the guy.
-
I thought Davey Richards looked better than he has for about... I dunno... five years at least. ACH's tag team partner was irritating as fuck. The Cartwheel Kick looked dumb the first time. I don't want to see it seventeen more times. Ciampa/Elgin was a lot of fun I thought. The Briscoe match was easily the worst of the three they had in ROH, and the No DQ match was hella dull.
Â
I've at least enjoyed most iPPVs from ROH and this one had potential on paper, but it just didn't live up at all.
-
I was more bothered by adults telling kids to "Shut the Fuck Up" at ROH shows in the UK. That was absolutely pathetic.
-
I seen someone calling Royal Rumble 1999 a cracking PPV. I was pretty against the thought, but decided to watch it again anyways.
Â
It's not bad I suppose. The Rumble match itself isn't great for me. Feels like there's a lot going on in it, but nothing actually means anything. The best fun was Kane chasing away the white coats, Viscera getting smacked about and of course the Austin/McMahon story which is the highlight of the match by far. Love the reaction to the finish. A massive collective "WHA?!?!".
Â
The other matches aren't all bad either. Luna/Sable is pretty heated stuff. It's short as well, so it's just the two of them beating the shit out of each other. Bossman/Road Dogg is a decent opener. X-Pac/Gangrel is a bit meh, and Shamrock/Gunn is a bit shit, which surprised me as I like the two of them. I seem to remember a lot of Shamrock's title defences at the time being a bit shit though. Rock/Mankind is brilliant though. Rock is comical for much of the match, but in that last few minutes he morphs into a super villain.
Â
So in short, the PPV isn't QUITE as bad as I remember it being.
-
The whole Superkick thing has become abit of an inside joke from many Indy Wrestlers. I saw one of the Young Bucks tweet a picture of a t-shirt about it the other day.
Â
If that IS the case, that just makes it worse.
-
Frodo Khasbulaev is a fucking animal at 145, he's my kind of fighter, lots of aggression and just throws punches from everywhere, whatever position he found himself in he was trying to damage from it. He basically made a hard nosed veteran in Sandro quit, Marlon clearly didn't wanna come out for round 3 and Frodo quickly despatched of him after that.
Â
His reaction to the low blow was hilarious. Loud moans of pain for 5 minutes straight. Funny shit. The only thing that soured me on him was doing the scummy "sly punch after touching gloves" at the start of Round 3. Cheap shot, and even worse considering Sandro was clearly done even before the round had started.
Â
That also led to me removing the benefit of the doubt on his post-bell punch in the first round. He just came across as a shitty little cheat.
-
I watched it once. Not a mistake I ever plan on making again. Absolutely fucking crap.
-
ROH after the whole American Super Juniors debacle really did go on and have a cracking run of shows in 2005. I'm watching shows just now, and there really is a lot of good stuff. James Gibson is probably the highlight, tearing it up on every show.
-
Yup, it's a troll. At least be a bit less fucking obvious.
-
I was a bit worried about Dantas. He seemed to be really into a war with Galvao after the big knockdown in the second round and got clocked a couple of times. Took him a bit of time to realise that he should probably take another course of action, and he wound up standing off. If he continued down that road though, it looked like he was going to get knocked out.
Â
Enjoyed the show on the whole, and I absolutely loved Rogers/Cramer.
-
Essa Rios faced a bunch of folk around that time. I remember Samoa Joe and Low Ki.
-
I never get the criticism leveled at Rogan for his commentary. He's very knowledgeable, wherever the fight ends up. You can tell he's passionate about the sport too, from both his commentary and his podcast.
Â
It's probably the ridiculous bias he shows certain fighters that does it. That's certainly what annoys me from him.

Delighted I'm making it down for day 2 as it looks much more up my alley than the first night, which doesn't look bad in itself. Masters vs. Travis is a Last Man Standing I believe, which should be a proper war.
Â
Looking forward to seeing what Noam Dar, Lionheart and Uhaa Nation are doing on night two. I'm actually rooting for Lionheart vs. Noam Dar for the belt. That would be amazing.
