    FTR v Young Bucks

    Samoa Joe v CM Punk

MJF v Adam Cole - title match

    Chris Jericho v ??

    Ricky Starks V Ricky Steamboat?

Where has that final one come from?!

  2. I think the gesture was sweet but a bit fucking weird. Who does that? All sounds a bit cloak and dagger! Like some sort of weird coffee related dead drop scenario.

I suspect she was being kind but yes a little odd.

There are 3627818183672819182729 more pressing things to even get mildly irritated about than this.

Unless!!! Maybe she has something for you but is too shy to tell you. She may be trying to get you to ask her for coffee or planned on being there but freaked and left it there waiting. You can tell your kids after you get married to her.

Because its a big show on a big platform.

They are doing what people wanted (drumming up publicity etc on big media brands) and people are still moaning. Proper wrestling fan behaviour tbf.

I get their intention. At the same time it won't drum up interest if people don't see it as a big deal.

Hawksby and Jacob are shit, they did awful there. Thank god for JJ and Gredo making the most of it

Laughing away and making it all a joke. Why bother w these idiots.

  5. Khan should be throwing everything at this. Matches should be announced (or at least winner of x vs y will face z) and trumpeted all over Dynamite etc.

AEW CAN'T fuck this up. If Khan gets it wrong booking wise, he has 70,000 people who may not want to return in the future. Fans must not feel conned or short changed w the size of this. It should be THE show of 2023.

I've a horrible feeling the card will look like a WWE circa 2001 UK only PPV but with about 28 matches.

  6. I don't see the hate for ospreay on the show personally. For me it's all about the action and big feel of matches. That said, ergh! Jericho can't go like he used to and I can't imagine him hanging w Ospreay. Esp as his stuff hardly looks solid. Much prefer Ospreay and Omega but ah well.

Easily. He’s a proper American weirdo  in that he’s obsessed with acting downtrodden while being a featured act and champion. Nothing says poor me than the heavily pushed 10 times champion

I assumed it was all just a gimmick.

    Which is an utter lie.

There are now 4 shareholders with 33% interest in 1PW. One being Gauntley.

FYI - anyone who works for him again or gives him money is an utter mug.

4 shareholders should surely have 25% interest each?

  9. I've not read the thread but adding my thoughts...

I don't watch AEW religiously. For me I'll dip in and out according to what sounds decent. So I am not aware of most of the storyline etc.

So for me, I just look for big matches, great action and a decent stage etc. For me it doesn't need to play into wider stories on TV though can see why some would want there to be links.

It'll always be "the" event that solidified them as a big deal esp outside of the US. I'd really be up for NJPW involvement and no British indy shit on the card.

As long as there is a great card I'll be happy regardless. I can't imagine them main eventing Sabian v Pac! Though on that note, they need to realise the UK isn't all that big on patriotism for home grown talent. Getting brits doing the media round as though we are all that fussed w them.

Such a pity if Danielson misses out on All In. Wishing him a speedy recovery

With All Out  been announced for the week after, will it take the gloss off this show ?

I doubt it. They have to pull out a cracker of a show, given the sheer size of the undertaking. That said, ol Tony is going to have to put his hand in his pocket for someone decent to replace him.

Given his recklessness over the years, I find it hard to have alot of sympathy for Danielson nowadays. I feel for him though you have to ask why he is so prone to injuries (most arent).

No. And it's a weird argument to make that if people don't compare to Hogan, Rock, Austin etc then they're not a draw. So not quite sure why some people are even saying that. There's different levels of drawing and using the biggest guys in the history of the business as a comparison is daft. Plenty of people have been draws over the year but not to THAT level. Doesn't mean they haven't contributed in a meaningful way.

I think it's more that  regardless of how much he has contributed, he hasn't beren able to bring huge numbera of new viewers that are connected to the product. I say that in general though.

I will admit though that having Austin  Rock and McMahon in one place at one time was once in a century. So maybe it isn't a fair comparison but let's not talk like anyone is bringing the eyeballs in 2023. And regardless of availability of alternatives etc (e.g. different streaming services), good wrestling should draw big.

  12. It depends what you call a draw. Sure nowadays, but that's a relatively low bar, comparative to Austin, Hogan or Rock. I wouldn't really say ANYONE can legitimately be called a draw in 2023.

  13. Has this ever happened to anyone before?

I went for a fry-up today. Ordered the full English and didn't think anything of it, until it arrived with NO CHIPS OR HASHBROWNS! Is that NORMAL!?

I've never had a fry-up without a potato product. They gave me two types of bread though - fried (gag, in the bin. I ain't eating that shit!) and bread and butter.

IOC have now weighed in. The protesting wrestlers had made a commitment to dispose of their medals in the Ganga river. At a reverred location. After intervention from one of the supporting groups. The medals were not disposed of, for now. The farmer union which has lent its support to the Wrestlers protest. Has asked for a 5 day stay, from the protesting wrestlers. The intention is to apply political pressure upon the Government and WFI to treat the matter seriously and take action against the head of the WFI.

Plenty of dirty tactics being used by the authorities to suppress and label the protest as having no merit.

I'm unsure what medal dunking will achieve tbh. They need much more action.
