  1. I'm currently backing up all my old RAW episodes and I've just found out that the Pillman/Austin 'Gun incident' episode is an edited version. I really want the proper, unedited original episode. There are various comps of the Pillman scenes on youtube but really the full episode would be much better.

    Can anyone help?

Do you know of somewhere that this might be streamed (and I can then grab it) or does anyone have it and could they stick it on megaupload or something?

Any help would be much appreciated.

The episode is November 4, 1996.

PM'd you the link mate as i don't want to incur the wrath of neil

Do you still have the link? Wouldn't mind a butchers myself.

    Cheers.

  2. I watched WWE with an open mind last night for the first time in at least 3 years. Saw a couple of decent matches and then I saw.....

Sadly, I can't find a screen print, but it was Low Ki, now called Kavla (or something) drawing lots for two girls, once called Melinda, or Melissa, or something. I cringed.

A little later, some Spanish stereotype interfeared with a match, even doing the chair choke from Tango and Cash.

Sorry, with total respect and apologies if you were a fan, but I'll not be watching WWE for a good while again.

couple of corrections for you with all due respect as youve not watched for a while

low ki is called kaval, he won the second series of NXT and the two girls, who are called michelle mccool and layla el (and are co womens champions btw), were his "mentors" for the show. their backstage stuff has been pretty entertaining from what ive seen and read

the "spanish stereotype" as you called him is called alberto del rio and debuted a few weeks ago after weeks of vignettes and is claiming to be an honest man. he used to be known as dos caros jr

    Thank you :)

  4. Back in 1990-ish, WWF ran an angle where Ravishing Rick Rude was insulting Big Boss Man's mother. Eventually, it was annoucned that they had fired him as a result.

Where they actually going to go somewhere with this, but had to fire him / he left for another reason, or did they know they were going to sack him and used that as an excuse?

  5. Hi

I seem to remember watching a Japanese tape a while ago, that featured some guys doing a bit of a random dance to The Offspring's Come Out And Play?

Did this happen, or did I just make it up? If so, any idea who, what, when it was?

Kintaro Kanemura's Team NO RESPECT. You didn't imagine it. :)

I'm not going nuts then, thank you

  7. I remember watching WWF programming as a kid, I'm sure there was once a title change on a non televised show, which was announced as shock breaking news on something like All American Wrestling.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

  8. Did Vince buy ECW?

Sorry for the n00b-ish question. As far as I was aware ECW went bankrupt but Vince started slowly but surely using ECW names during the Invasion and obviously the WWE re-brand.

Just recently, on the likes of You Tube etc, I'm seeing more and more comments about WWE buying ECW.

    So what happened?

  9. Going through some old Brit Wrestling videos, I ended up watching this match. A Disco Challenge Match, Kendo Nagasaki vs Iron Fist Clive Myers, two of the UK greats, in a ring surrounded by a disco ball and a funky version of Beethoven.

I know this era of wrestling came up with some corkers, but seriously what the hell.

Does anyone how or why this match came about? Was Brian Dixon on something or was he pushed into promoting it in a rather WCW Kiss Demon sort of way.

It was the first time the ITV slot was filled by a rival to Joint Promotions, and the WWF was scheduled for the slot the next week. I presume Dixon wanted something exciting and glam to make a difference. It was certainly different.

Thanks for that. It just seemed to jump out of nowhere.

Was it promoted beforehand, or did it just happen one week?

  10. How far back is TNA on Bravo?

Flicking through Sky earlier and Bravo 2 were showing Impact. They still had a 6 sided ring!

Thursday's Impact (US airing) airs first run Saturday nights on Bravo, repeated on Sunday night and the following Saturday morning. Bravo 2 shows TNA from about 2008 (I think) on mornings and afternoons.

That'll be what I saw then, cheers!

  12. I think TNA's main showing on Bravo is current, isn't it?

Another question from me: Am I imagining it, or does the Undertaker use the downward spiral/mic check/whatever sometimes?

Unless they were showing a classic match or something, the clip I saw had Awesome Kong and the six sided ring.

This was yesterday tea-time on Bravo 2.
