  1. Watching an old WoS match yesterday Clive Myers vs Romany Riley, which culminated in an arm wrestling match.

Anyway, this was all leading up to Myers heading over to America to represent England in the World Arm Wrestling Championships.

Was this geniune, was he heading over there to represent this country? Also, any idea how he did?

I do know Clive was legitimately an arm wrestler outside of the ring.

    Thanks

  2. Does anyone have an e-mail address for a UK or General contact for WWE?

Don't worry, I'm not trying to submit storylines or anything! Even though if I did, I would have DiBiase coming out as a nuclear rabbit from the future.

I found an address for the UK :

    WWE (International) Ltd.

    5 Jubilee Place

    London, SW3 3TD

    UNITED KINGDOM

    44 (0) 20 7349 1740

    Can't see an email though.

That was actually a real help, I've sent them a letter instead.

    Thank you

  4. I'm enjoying watching the World of Sport matches shown on Sky channel 228, and remember watching British Wrestling as a kid, more so when it was a standalone programme as opposed to being on World of Sport though.

My question is, what wrestling company actually was it that put on "the wrestling"? I've heard names such as All Star, Dale Martin, Joint Promotions etc, but what promotion actually put it on?

Joint Promotions until the end of 1986. (Joint Promotions was an alliance of promoters, with Dale Martin being the one covering Southern England.)

In 1987 and 88 it was split between Joint and All Star, with a handful of WWF shows.

    Thank you

Was it Joint that got the television coverage or was that split between other members of the alliance? Do you know who covered Northern England?

Joint wasn't a promotion itself, it was the alliance.

The main promoters that made up Joint were Dale Martin (South), Best/Wryton (Midlands/NorthWest), Morrell/Beresford (Yorkshire/Midlands) and Relwyskow/Green (North).

Sorry, I meant to say "Dale Martin" not Joint, but you've already answered that question as well as I remember seeing Best / Wryton on the turnbuckles. Sadly, I thought that was a beer, not a promotion! Thought it was an advert!

Are any of the four companies mentioned there still going in some form or other, or have any direct history with any modern promotions?

  7. I then went back and got the rest of that years PPVs as taped from TV as the dubbed music used to annoy the hell out of me.

I don't know what you're on about, there was no music dubbing on that tape.

HH2000 was the last one without the dubbing, Anarchy Rulz onwards had it.

  8. I had the official VHS tape of Hardcore Heaven 2000 and that cut annoyed the hell out of me.

From a tape trader I got the actual taped from the TV copy.

  9. Does anybody know where i can watch youshoots for free?

And also does anybody know a website that reviews old WWF PPV'S?

    Many Thanks.

i believe 411mania does so, allthough their search option is down at the moment.

You can always Google 411mania *name of event*

Just be aware though, most of the people that post in the comment section that site are total morons.

  10. Best of XPW PPV

    That must be short then!

In all seriousness, I downloaded season 1 of XPW off PWTorrents the other day. Fuck me, it's terrible! I honestly can't think of a worse company. Even Chikara and Global are better than it.

They managed to get an hour out of it.

I know Tigerrick thought it was bad, he gave his original copy to me
