I love hybrid working. I'm seconded to a role that is almost entirely desk-based for the next couple of years so could easily work from home. But, I do enjoy going into an office a couple of days a week, ever since I got a move to an office that's only a 15 minute drive with light traffic. I enjoy getting in and seeing people in person while also being able to work from home if it suits family need. Luckily it looks like hybrid is about to be approved as the overarching policy from now on.Â

I’m in a lot of pain. Think it may be constipation. Who knows. Got IBS too but I don’t think it’s IBS cramps. What’s the UKFF super shitter laxative mix? Prune juice wasn’t it?
I think it was two glasses of prune juice interspersed with a glass of cloudy apple juice. I did that a couple of times but you have to stay by the toilet for a day. Lost 3lbs from one of them I think.Â

I think this will sell out.
People underestimate the fact that AEW is on ITV/ITV4 and until very recently was on ITV at 11pm on Mondays. Its visibility has to be way and above WWE’s, which is tucked away on BT Sport and lost its Channel 5 showings due to poor ratings.
The buzz will carry them through.
AEW hasn't fully connected in the UK yet. Their action figures for example routinely end up in bargain buckets. WWE is a vastly bigger brand with much more recognition. That said, I do think they'll do well here and it's certainly one way to up your profile.Â

I was initially quite ambivalent about Cody coming back then the same about him being 'the guy'. As late as yesterday I was saying I thought he'd win but they'd need to turn him because he wasn't a babyface. I was completely and utterly wrong. He was incredible last night and both guys elevated the other in that match. I'll be Woah-ing in my head for days.Â

Tha target from the first two games was realistically four points. To be on six is excellent. Ryan Porteus, Grant Hanley and Kieran Tierney works far better as a three than it has any right to. Superb squad management over the two games from Steve Clarke. Delighted.Â

I thought Nicola Sturgeon's final address was really good today. Regardless of what may be going on at party level, it reaffirmed my view that she has genuine compassion and a belief that her role as leader was to try to make life a little bit better for those worst off. Hearing her talk about care-experienced people and gender equality really hammered home some of the biggest wins that may not quite suit the mainstream media agenda.
On a broader note, although there was the odd jibe the opposition responses to her statement were far more civilized than we may be used to from the Westminster parliament. Sadly opinions are too divided and entrenched on too many issues to use that by itself as a lever for change.

This is the fundamental issue with Scottish politics. There are many who will defend the SNP no matter what and there are others who will happily form a view based on whatever opposes the SNP because of their dislike for them. I think if you are prepared to believe Alex Salmond always behaved appropriately around women you are likely to be the latter.
I'm a former SNP member having swept up a bit by the 2014 referendum. I quite quickly realised they are a political party like any other with probably a decent number of careerists who don't really believe in independence.
However, my opinion until recently was they were absolutely worth my vote overall because they have done a lot of good. There have been significant failures too, which cant be ignored. Some can maybe be caveated by not having full policy autonomy or borrowing powers but not all.
There may well be some revelations around finance that are not good, but I have quite a high opinion of Nicola Sturgeon. I think she has genuine compassion and a will to make life a bit easier for those who have it hardest. Humza Yousaf is not on her level as a politician and will struggle. That said, I will absolutely not vote for a party headed by Kate Forbes or Ash Regan. For the first time in my life I feel politically homeless because I also cannot vote Labour due to their continued betrayal of working class communities. Scottish Labour should breakaway in my opinion as there is an opening for voters with similar views to mine at the moment.Â

I struggle with rice cooking so much that I tend to rely on boil in the bag.Â

My son's school has one planned tomorrow due to locking of toilets outside of interval and lunch. Told him we'll back him fully and there won't be a punishment at home. their plan is to stage a morning sit in and refuse to go to class. If the school continue with the policy there are a number of parents ready to take action too and luckily our local authority hate that and will likely relent.Â

Poor pitch hampered Celtic more than Rangers did today. Probably made it harder than it needed to be but it was clear that if we (Celtic) play to our best then we're still a far better team.
Word for Nick Walsh too, excellent today. Surely has to be seen as number one ahead of Collum now.Â

@David,had totally misremembered that, it was St Mirren he won it with then I think.Â

Paul Lambert was linked heavily with Aberdeen, which made me wonder if he was in the running? Member of the 1991 Scottish Cup winning squad and has credibility albeit he's maybe not the most progressive appointment. On that note though, Hammell appears to have a good reputation as a coach and they may need someone more of Lambert's experience.Â

I'm not sure if this is a conspiracy theory but I firmly, not just a bit, believe that Jill Dando was murdered to prevent her releasing a story that would implicate some powerful individuals as part of a child trafficking ring.Â

Wayne Mardle was superb. Smith actually tweeted a thanks for how well it was called. I thought Pyke overdid it with best match ever. The potential was there to get close to Taylor/Barney but once MVG started to make more errors it took it back down a little. Still a great final and very good tournament overall.Â
Now for the inevitable politics of the Premier League announcement...

I don't think Rangers will have a better chance than that to beat Celtic. Celtic dominated until Hart got nervy an it spread through the team. Juranovic was either not fit or not interested, maybe both.
A few errors from Ange today but that can be excused because of the will to win that has been instilled in the team.Â

I had a bit of a chat with a colleague after that post. In all honesty I've been so immersed in my own job the dispute wasn't really in my periphery. But it sounds like our lower end staff would be really impacted if the current proposal is agreed. Added to that it seems, like others currently striking, part of the issue is how government and bosses have treated the workforce. We absolutely need to be calling this behaviour out because the media definitely will not.

100% behind the current strikes from posties, nurses and rail workers. The misrepresentation of the asks of each had been horrendous, Daily Mail leading the charge as usual.
I work in the public sector and there's an ongoing pay dispute at the moment. I'm finding it a bit tricky to be honest because due to a regrading, people in my role have had an increase of around 20% in two years. Given the financial constraints in Scotland I do wonder if we'd be better settling and allowing more funds to be allocated to nurses. Government funding and powers are finite at Hollyrood so I'm not sure Scot Gov can really do much more without drastically trimming other pots.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the actual The Royle Family Christmas episodes yet have they?
The one where Jim thinks he has fuck all to open and then gets Sky at the end is brilliant, as they all are, although when I rewatched the whole lot the last time, I really despised his character.
Maybe I was just going through something at the time. Will probably run through it again soon.
I think this is one the best things about their writing. There are points Jim seems like an unredeemable prick, but they always seem to show enough of his other, quite insecure, side to have you rooting for him.Â

I don't think there's any doubt if Tottenham come in that Ange would leave, more so for the challenge than the money. For that reason, he'd go with best wishes unlike Rodgers who was looking for any bigger salary job.Â
