  1. Corrie for me, it's got bang tidy Helen Flanagan  don't tell the wife that's my reason for watching though ;)

Corrie is great for it's British camp sense of humour, Eastenders is too dull and depressing. I've stopped my 9 year old son watching Eastenders with the mrs and in fact she's given up on following it herself in the last couple of weeks.

  2. Yesterday I watched UFC 7.

Enjoyable tourney especially for Marcos Ruas, in David vs Goliath battles. The Ken Shamrock v Oleg Taktarov fight was so slow and boring, although saying that it had tension about it, anticipating what would happen. Shame no pay off for the viewer. I'm so glad the referees stand the fighters up sooner now, rather than wait 15 minutes!

    Next UFC 36!

  3. Thanks to virgin medias tv choice on demand ive been rewatching the superb eastbound and down. Kenny powers is awesome.

Brilliant programme, gotta appeal to wrestling fans that one, I love it!!!

Besides BB and world cup matches I've been watching:

2 and a Half Men - the mrs got me into this one quite recently, handy it's on loads.

Hogan Knows Best season 3 - yesterday watched the one where Knobbs comes to stay, loads of 80s wrestlings turn up for a pool party

IT Crowd - great to see it back on, comedy gold.

Big Bang Theory - ain't that great IT Crowd and BBT currently aired

Spartacus - watched until recently, got bored of it, despite great action, sexy-scenes and the use of the c-word. Not huge on serious stuff like this, I like a little bit of humour thrown in.

My Name Is Earl - my son likes this, so I get to see it again.

Other than that it's AV II on Edge Media for me being a conspiracy nut! ;)

  4. I'm working my way through TUF 4 too. Just watched eps 1-3 so far, Sky+'d the rest ready to see. Great characters on there, especially Sera and Shonie Carter. ESPN Classice caught me out, they've been showing it every night. Think TUF 5 starts on there tonight?

  5. I love a good conspiracy theory, but what happened on 9/11 has been endlessly and thoroughly proven, and all alternative theories debunked. The towers were hit by large planes with large amounts of fuel on them. A guy sticking some C4 to the insides of some lift shafts isn't going to melt steel.

If people could get away from the obsession with trying to deny an event witness by literally millions of people (both on the ground and live on tv), there are loads of much more interesting questions surrounding the day.

Did the US know beforehand that an event was likely to occur? Could the perpetrators have organised all this without some inside help? As has been said above, there were large safety concerns about the Twin Towers years before this happened. Why were those concerns (voiced by the then-head of security for the Towers) not addressed?

In the ensuing chaos, did the US airforce shoot down a passenger plane full of people?

Basically, there's plenty to conjecture about. Arguing about the actual events of the day is like trying to argue that Kennedy was never shot, rather than who did it and why.

Absolutely there are lots of questions to be answered.

I revisited the 9/11 topic recently, watching a docu 9-11 Ripple Effect on Controversial TV - Sky 200. Evidence put forward showed a demolition job took place. (I'll look up the docu and post a link, it's probably online.) The result of a plane crashing into the towers should have left more of the iron girders still standing. However what was left remaining were the girders cut at an angle right near the base, indicating a controlled demolition. Eyewitnesses also claim there was an explosion before the plane struck the tower/s. Also another was 'taken down' that wasn't even hit by a plane.

    Found it! 9-11 Ripple Effect

Well worth watching, quotes from aviation, demolition experts, eyewitnesses etc. I've not seen Loose Change but I would recommend Ripple Effect.

Somewhere I did see that the towers were built with explosives installed, to enable easy demolition when needed.

  6. Hollie has named all members of the paedophole ring WHICH IS STILL ACTIVE, yet the police, the Lord Advocate (Scottish Attorney General), Scottish MPs etc have so far failed to take action, except to try to stop the story getting out.

There was a bit about this in the Fortean Times a month or two ago, in the paranoia section. I can't remember details, but the jist of it was, it's all very similar to the Satanic Ritual Abuse scare (ie, massively widespread witchhunts based on absolute fantasy and details gleaned from hypnotic regression) of the 80s.

Hmmm... Isn't DD one of the lads that passionately believes in any old fantasist shite?

Sorry but I fail to see why you describe the case of Hollie and the cover up as fantasy. Yes, it would be great if it wasn't true.

  7. You're not using the most recent update in your post? Then what's the point in posting it, you mentalist.

I posted the petition topic over a month ago, before I heard a talk from the person actively fighting the cause of Hollie and her mother.

  8. Grampian Police last night confirmed the force was investigating an allegation of historic sex abuse.

Doesn't sound like they're refusing to take action to me.

Excuse me but what I used in the original post is not the most recent and up to date information on the case. The information is a copied and pasted from a news website. I intend to edit this and post the best and most accurate information available.

Since hearing the talk from Robert Green on Saturday I feel passionately about getting this out there, aiming to get as many people as possible campaigning, writing to their MPs, signing petitions etc.

At the event in Bournemouth I bought a DVD of Robert Green talking about the whole case and cover up in March. I watched it this evening and it's fresh in my memory if anyone wishes to ask any questions, please feel free.

  9. The talk I heard today from Robert Green the legal representative for Hollie Greig and her mother Anne did not relate this to the missing Maddie.

A large sum of money has been paid to Hollie to try and keep it all quiet but justice has not been served here.

Hollie has named all members of the paedophole ring WHICH IS STILL ACTIVE, yet the police, the Lord Advocate (Scottish Attorney General), Scottish MPs etc have so far failed to take action, except to try to stop the story getting out.

  10. I've had bizarre premonition dreams but only click in afterwards so of no use. Most recently I had a dream one night where I could hear digging up outside, asked them what they were doing and was it's new gas meters that will save money, the following day the intercom buzzer went for the meter to be read. I know I didn't dream exactly what happened but bizarre none the less.

I've experienced deja vu before, I remember years back out clubbing, chilling out for a bit in the lounge bar, my friends were chatting and I knew what was going to be said as if it had all happened before. Such a weird feeling.

  11. In the words of John McCririck: THE TOFFS ARE BACK!

So what do you reckon of the this public school boy pairing so far?

Personally I think it's great they're all these cut backs with the various departments and quangos, looks like a good thing. Scrapping ID cards I agree with too. Obviously time will tell if they live up to expectations.

  12. Dentist yesterday, had a couple of fillings (went straight edge for it), so chilled out watching 3 In A Bed on 4, followed by Junior Apprentice.

3 In A Bed - anyone else see it? The farmhouse wife was so masculine, easy to mistake her for the landlord's son :p

A shame the posh lad went on JA, liked him, had some funny facial expressions. I get the impression the mature looking juniors have a better chance of winning. That hip chick who sells vintage clothing has a good chance.

  13. I caught some of the state opening of parliament earlier. Funny the Queen talking about faster broadband connections lol

All that pomp and regalia is such a contrast to the election campaign with TV aired debates American presidential election style.

  14. I've never watched Lost apart from one episode, not because I didn't like it, was really good, but it's one of those programmes you need to see from the beginning to understand what it's all about. My wife's work mate has DVD box-set so might ask to borrow it one day.

Oh yeah, forgot about Junior Apprentice, enjoying that one too. Think I've got it right both times with who should go. Going to miss Pob though! lol Alan Sugar often goes on character as opposed to what they achieve, which I like.

Wouldn't mind seeing US Apprentice with Goldberg. Is that only on download or has a channel over here picked it up?

  15. Loved True Blood 2 that just came to an end.

Jersey Shore was kind of fun.

Comedy wise I'm loving La La Land on BBC3, I highly recommend it.

Found some old eps of Hogan Knows Best (3rd season) I'd not seen on MTV.

Oh yeah 3 In A Bed, like Come Dine With Me but with b+bs

Tonight it's How To Live A Simple Life on BBC2.

  16. Hollie_Greig-.230.jpg

In the summer of 2000, Hollie told her mother, Anne, that she had been repeatedly sexually abused by her father, Denis Charles Mackie and brother Greg. The abuse had begun when Hollie was just six years` old. Hollie said that Greg had also been abused by his father.

Anne Greig reported this immediately to the local police station in Aberdeen. During the course of that summer, Hollie, who has Down`s Syndrome, began to provide more names of abusers. It transpired that Denis Mackie had been sharing his daughter with a ring of sexual abusers, which included a serving police officer with the Grampian force, Terry Major and an Aberdeen sheriff, Graeme Buchanan.

Medical and other evidence supported Hollie`s account and Grampian Police accepted the truth of Hollie`s statement. Nonetheless, no action was taken by Grampian Police against the perpetrators and despite Anne Greig`s persistence, the Procurator Fiscal, now Lord Advocate, Elish Angiolini prevented any police action taking place.

In fact, the authorities instead attempted to discredit and intimidate Anne by having her forcibly taken to a mental institution, with the intention of handing Hollie back to her abuser father. Fortunately, Anne Greig had the presence of mind to have herself checked by a leading psychiatrist, who proclaimed her perfectly sane, a view with which even the institution were forced to concur.

In the years that have followed, Anne Greig has persisted in her attempts to bring the abusers to justice, not only for the sake of her own children, but also to prevent these dreadful practices continuing against others, which includes adults with learning difficulties as well as children.

It was only in 2009, when the News Of The World courageously broke the story, concentrating on the hitherto unheard of fact that Hollie had received payments from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority for crimes that have not even been investigated.

The measures to cover up this terrible story continue unbounded by the authorities.

Several years ago, Denis and Greg Mackie went to live in Portugal. On 8th May 2007, immediately following Madeleine McCann`s disappearance, Anne Greig, accompanied by a victim`s support witness, went to her now local police station in Shrewsbury to tell them to alert the Portuguese Police, as despite the proven case of paedophile abuse, neither of the Mackies had a record of any kind. The McCann team has accepted that the Mackies ought to have been questioned immediately. It is now understood that the British Police failed to pass on these details to their Portuguese counterparts.

Hence, the official cover up has even extended to detracting from the Madeleine McCann investigation.

Investigators have already informed us that discoveries of other paedophile rings in Scotland has been discovered, but it is clear that certain senior figures of authority are prepared to obstruct the course of justice and allow the known sexual abuse of some of society`s most vulnerable people to continue unabated, just to save their own skins.

The Hollie Greig story is now widely known by the media, police, legal, medical and political professions.

    The facts are beyond dispute.

The only question that remains will be as to who has sufficient decency and courage to bring this and other issues to a just conclusion.

    EDIT:

I found this interview with Hollie, her mother Anne and Robert Green on the Rich D Hall's programme. It's under an hour long, shown in 3 parts. This was recorded Spring 2010, before the general elections and before the talk I went to with Robert Green in Bournemouth.
