I found your comment to be over simplistic of issues that aren’t ours to be the judges of. While you probably meant no bad intentions, it is a much more layered subject than “try not to partake in it.”

As I've explained to Carbomb, I try not to overcomplicate things that stem from basic human nature.

Next to that, I find the fact that you linked my statement to white privelege very offensive.

I can understand that perspective, and fair play to you for that, but my own conclusions are different based on my own experiences. You've definitely offered a different angle I hadn't considered, though.

Very cool. Our world is what we make it, but we'll only make it together. Keep on keeping on.

You also followed that with something about people "feigning outrage". That's why I responded to your point as a whole.

Criticism of it happening is part and parcel of not participating in it. I don't doubt the sincerity of people on here who say they deplore racism. But a lot of people who deplore racism don't often recognise racist behaviour in their own actions, and it's episodes like the above T-shirt being created and put out without any kind of thought about the implications that highlight this.

In my experience, there are no racists that don't know they're being racist. Judging someone by their strenght of character is something that rings true in any and every culture. No one gets a pass.

I try not to give people the satisfaction of questioning this and don't along with the insulting little performances they can put on.

Well glad that’s all sorted then. White privilege is over guys, we did it!

What are you getting at here? Are you trying to turn common sense and positivity into some kind of devisive bullshit? Explain yourself.

I did see it immediately, actually. Was just shown the picture without context or comment, and it was immediately obvious. I don't care if you think I'm a liar.

As long as we can agree that racism is wrong and we honestly try not to partake in it, we're all fine.

Absolutely. But there seems to be a suggestion that this was resolved a month ago and he's now raising it publicly in the manner he is. Those two things don't add up. For the avoidance of doubt, I'm questioning the whol "it was resolved a month ago" aspect.

Makes all the difference in the world. If that is the case, I'd strongly advise him to get off of twitter and get some legal representation.

  7. If you work for a giant company (with all kinds of shade in it's background) as a black man, it is completely possible to voice this kind of stuff without getting fired or punished. This is a fact. Most shady multi million dollar companies would never risk getting sued for racism. Racism is illegal in most places.

And you have Tony Khan shouting in the background, "Remember guys, SPORTS PRESENTATION! SPORTS! PRESENTATION!".

I think that is one of the big reasons there are so many matches on one show. I don't think Tony Khan has the experience or know-how to demand anything from them. He should delegate someone that knows the business, to act and speak on his behalf. You didn't see Ted Turner telling Lex Luger to run the ropes faster. To me, he comes across as a money mark that is out of his depth.

It feels to me like they invest a lot of energy in Cody Rhodes' storyline, and leave everyone else to figure out their own. The presentation of one compared to the rest is light years apart.

I'm pretty sure Cody himself is responsible for this. The bucks and Omega's presentation of themselves is vastly different from Cody's. So much so, that I assume that no one is overseeing their character development as a whole. They seem to still be doing what they individually think is cool.

    Ditto.

Was that 1998? I remember only just getting back into wrestling during the Summer holidays and I vividly remember seeing see WCW/NWO Revenge at Ebb's House for the first time. Hooked from that moment onwards.

Ming Chee had a hell of a Brainbuster.

Executioner's Orange Crush and Jekel's Doctor Bomb, FTW.

Edit: Jekel's fucking Dr. Death boots.

That's far more the case in Super Dragon's variant, which feels a lot more indicative of that kind of assault - in Rollins' case, I just wish he'd called it something different.

Do they still actually call it the Curb Stomp? I have it in my head that the last time I bothered watching a Seth Rollins match, Michael Cole just called it a "Stomp".

I'm fairly sure that Joe E. Legend was the first to do Rollins' variant, and alleges that Rollins asked him permission to use it, and whenever I've worked with Joe he's just called it a "Boot Fame-Asser", rather than actually giving it a real name.

The term is pretty widely associated with Neo-Nazi violence in general, and American History X in particular. It's not like "a racist did a chokeslam once", or that the move existed somewhere in the ether outside of that context, Rollins and others have given the move the name "curb stomp" after it had that connotation.

For the record: All of the above.

  12. See, that would be fine. I do have a low tolerance for the guy. Anyone that knowingly dates Nazi-sympathizers get's a side-eye for life, from me.

...plus he pissed on Kofi's Peeps, that one time in the shower. So weird.
