I like Triple H’s lockdown hair.

There’s a great Network documentary to be made of just following Hunter around his house being a grumpy dad, sulking that he can’t find the hair clippers.

I think i prefer Trips as a shaven raver, as opposed to the hairy cunt we see today.

but the third best wrestler there

    Gonna have to disagree.

I think Zeus may have only had one other match & that was for WWC in Puerto Rico versus Abdullah the Butcher, which was bloody awful! Beefcake & Hogan may well have been limited in the ring, but Zeus was the drizzling shits!

What do we think are The great ones bedroom habits? PJ’s or in the buff? How many hours sleep does he get, left or right side of the bed? News24 or podcasts?

I am not even 100% convinced he is human!

If you want to know what Vince is really like, get on the Jim Cornette Podcast. Jim regularly goes into great detail about driving with Vince & visiting his home for booking meetings. The more you find out about how McMahon carries on, the more confusing it gets. Just a weird individual that appears to lack empathy for anyone, yet fascinating at the same time.

After a week of annual leave (planned way in advance) and 2-1/2 days of work I've been told I'm furloughed as of Monday. Yaay (!).

Withouth going through 150+ pages to check, who's going through this and how are you coping?

I have been furloughed from day one of it's arrival. In many ways Self Isolation is almost like winning the lottery! I hate my job & generally dislike contact with the outside world.

Financially it has not really effected me because the 20% loss of income has been compensated by a +20% decrease in outgoings. My mortgage is paid off & i have money in the bank (not the PPV :D). The real plus for me is that i have had some really nice days at home with my lad, we have watched a tonne of wrestling & generally had a good old time, without even the smallest of differences.

The negatives would be a couple of bad clashes with Mrs. Mount-evans & two holidays cancelled.

I must also say that despite a few differences of opinion on here, that the UKFF had been a wonderful way to spend part of my day & i commend the vast majority of good folk on here, for being funny/entertaining/helpful & compassionate to their fellow wrestling fans ❤️

  5. Obviously there was a lot of speculation to the motive behind the murder & the identity of the murderer? For me, it could have been a very simple reason why Bravo was killed? Perhaps if the Mafia were getting investigated, the best way to stop an investigation travelling upwards, towards the big boys is to cut the line of enquiry off.

It could have been a case of the Mafia not wanting Bravo being questioned & possibly spilling the beans. So the trail is dead (literally) & that could explain why he let the murderer into his house because in his eyes, he has done nothing wrong.

  6. Wow! I have never seen any footage of Giant Haystacks in Japan.

It is common knowledge that he also worked Stampede & WCW, but he also work Australia or New Zealand (or both?) with the only evidence is a photo of him in the ring, having a staredown with Andre the Giant. Which i believe may have been part of a tag match.

With regards to Giant Haystacks being a "bad" wrestler, that is open to debate. For me, he played the part of a villainous giant rulebreaker to perfection. Could he bust out a Canadian Destroyer or a Moonsault?...No. But i loved the character that he played so well & he drew an awful lot of money & a shit tonne of real heat!

Hardly a surprise he did not go down well in All Japan! Not exactly a promotion that meshed well with his style of match, nor could he speak the language. Also judging by this brief clip, he was not protected like he was for so many years, over here in the UK.

i always look back with great fondness towards Giant Haystacks. He was loved by everyone behind the scenes & was not as selfish as Big Daddy.  Crabtree  was not popular with "the boys", nor were his brothers (Brian the MC being the least popular). Daddy was apparently one of these characters that were very good when the cameras were rolling, but not so good with people when his shift was over.

It was the 'selling point' for people to attend TV tapings [although they likely didnt know it would only last a minute or two].

To be a little more specific.

It was to encourage the audience to stay to the very end of a long TV taping. They would not short change the fans out of a quick Main Event on House Shows (although that did happen occasionally).

Surprised at the agility of it. Would make a good, albeit slow, getaway vehicle.

Surely the main purpose of any getaway vehicle is speed?

Plus you are limited to crimes within walking distance of a canal or drive from a freshly robbed bank before downgrading your car for a much slower getaway barge, thus risking the embarrassment of the Rozzers dawdling down the side of the canal bank, saying "After you have closed the lock gates, just return the money you sad twat!".

The Snuka one is an interesting watch but Vince McMahon's involvement doesn't get enough coverage. It was a quick minute of that then move on - no scandal about how the biggest promoter in wrestling history acted.

I hope you are no implying Vince bribes people!

Only other point I'd add is that many companies have enhanced redundancy terms

    Thanks for your input :)

We get the legal bare minimum of everything. Hopefully what you have said does not get changed. I have 13 years service & would hate to miss out, especially when it was looking dodgy at work before the virus & i feared they could use it as an excuse.

  12. Thanks for that John.

My main concern is that because of the financial hardships facing employers, that the government will help them wriggle out of payments.

Am i being paranoid or could people face a reduction or loss of redundancy payments (redundancies directly attributed to the lockdown) & then the law reverts back to how it was, when the economy starts to recover & lockdown can no longer be deemed a major factor in a redundancy situation?

  13. Has there been any word on redundancies off the back of the implications of the lockdown?

I feel like i am now vulnerable & think under the current law for employees over 40 years old, that you are entitled to a weeks pay for every years worked, times 1.5 + a weeks notice for every year, times 1.5?

Is this correct & has it been suggested that employers could avoid or have redundancy payments reduced because it is deemed to be no fault of their own?

  14. He's the brother of The Macho Man,

    Who shagged Stephanie McMahon.

    Her husband reminds me when,

    He snapped my mates pen.

    A cunt, second to none,

Except maybe Snuka or Invader 1?

They’re going back to live episodes of Raw, Smackdown and NXT because they’re seemingly hell bent on some members of their roster not seeing 2021. I know they have contracts that dictate a certain amount of live programming but fucking hell. Get some perspective.

I suppose the perspective here is that the wrestling business as a whole & the WWE in particular, is a piece of shit, frequented by total cunts? :(

Did he ever try to take liberties with anyone in a match that could actually fight back? Gypsy Joe was granite tough but about 93 years old

I think it was Gypsy Joe who started off with the liberty taking by headbutting New Jack on the bridge of the nose... Big mistake.

Do you know how much it goes for? I have it in pristine condition (and it might be my favourite wrestling book despite knowing nothing about him and little about World Class beforehand).

Like the value of anything, it is what someone is prepared to pay. I have read that you can get $300-$500 for one. The latest one to go up in value is The Rocky Johnson book, which was due to be reprinted until his passing, this has made the first release a lot more valuable.

Cheers for the heads-up, mate! I'll drop them a line and see what's what.

I still regret not buying Funk's book from a shop in Florida in around 2006 or something. Must have been the equivalent of about six or seven quid at the time.

It's almost cheaper to fly over to America & bring them back yourself, if you are buying a lot!

I have just spoke to someone who says that if it is stated that the value is less than $5 you don't get stung by customs. Obviously that is shady. I am not suggesting Scott is shady. But i am happy to say that i consider customs charges a rip off & a good way of slowing down International Orders

Did you order directly from their site? I might make the investment, even though with shipping to the Czech Republic I imagine it will end up a small fortune.

Yes. If you go on Amazon for Crowbar Press publications, they just put an insane price up to scare you off & encourage you to buy direct.

I emailed Scott directly & he was very good. It was a few years ago, but i bulk bought a tonne of stuff from him which made it worthwhile with the postage (to the UK).
He knows all about postage worldwide. If you mention the cost issue, It could be a case of ticking the box "gift" rather than "merchandise" to save a small fortune.

Some of his books really do go up in value. I bought Gary Hart's book from him, which apparently has skyrocketed in price.
