  1. I look forward to not being able to access them.
  2. Reviews on Letterboxd ending with 'for more on this, listen to my podcast!' No. Actually, Letterboxd in general. It's well shit now.

I went for a pint with a mate the other day and he was telling me about an interview he'd gone for. The role was for a behaviour specialist in a school, something he's been doing for about 10 years now. He said the interview process is getting more and more ridiculous each time. This time it consisted of; - Him leading a 15-minute assembly to all of Year 10 about 'respect' - an unseen data task (40 minutes) - a 'learner panel' - I'm not sure what this is (20 minutes) - A safeguarding test (20 minutes) - a 10 minute presentation on how he would 'lead behaviour' across the school Then a 45 minute interview to finish off. And this is only stage 1! I know we want our educators to be thoroughly assessed before they get a job but christ that's a long process.

I've been looking on and off for about 2 years now and have never been so disillusioned and in despair about the whole job-finding process. Learning on the job seems to be a thing of the past now, every company seems to value experience above everything else. Which is fair enough, if I was in their shoes I'd rather hire somebody with experience and some knowledge as opposed to somebody with none, but often they're looking for experience in an extremely narrow, specific field and I have no idea how you get a foot in. Sorry to hear you were made redundant, especially as it sounded like you enjoyed the job. And I'm doubly gutted that we won't get any more pictures in the sandwich thread.

Absolutely lost my head with a customer today. He's a regular who orders his karate tracksuits from us, but he's ridiculously disorganised, leaving it late every year to order then telling us 'I need these in a week as they're for a tour!' He ordered about a week ago and made it clear it's vital these tracksuits are to be with him no later than today. If they're any later than that he will be cancelling the order and expecting a full refund. However, he didn't have the full order at the time as he was still waiting on his squad to get back to him, so he gave me about half of the sizes he needed then phoned about another 7 times during the day last week to add extra tracksuits on each time. It would've been a much quicker and less frustrating process if he had collated all of the sizes needed first and done it all in one phone call, but we explain this to the silly fucker every year and he never listens. Anyway, after about 11 phone calls I finally have his full order, I place it on a rush (at our cost, eating into our very slim profit, so we're hardly making anything on it) and it arrives last thing yesterday. We printed the order up this morning so by 9am it was all complete. I phoned him up telling him it's ready to pick up, and his reply.. "Oh I can't pick it up today, I'm on holiday". Absolute fucking prick.
  6. That Chris Jericho graphic gets weirder the more I look at it. It kind of looks like Jeff Bridges, with bits of Woody Harrelson and Kris Kristofferson in there too. The one person it doesn't look like is Chris Jericho.
  7. Fuck me, I hate this prick. EDIT: That being John Cena, not TheBurningRed!
  8. I was talking to a friend earlier about The Nightmare Collective in AEW and it got me thinking about storylines/characters/angles that are largely forgotten now, and thought it might be fun to mention them on here in a 'bloody hell, I'd forgotten all about that!' way. A couple of things from the past 5/6 years that have been consigned to the dustbin of history; - The Firm in AEW. Their big bad new heel stable... who appeared on screen once, I believe? Stokeley Hathaway should never be doing anything more than comedy. - Erick Rowan's box. For weeks he bought a little cage out with him to the ring and the question everybody (read:nobody) was asking was 'what's in the cage?' and it turned out to be some electronic spider thing. I'm pretty sure this was during the 2 out of 3 falls/Wild Card Raw era, an absolute nadir of WWE programming. - Shelton Benjamin smiling. For a few weeks WWE would cut to a Shelton Benjamin interview and he'd get asked a question but instead of answering he'd just smile at the camera silently. Never went anywhere, no idea what it was all about. What else has been forgotten? (Except by you obviously, otherwise you wouldn't be mentioning it!)
  9. There's a bloke at work who lays mayonnaise bottles on their back on the top shelf of the fridge, instead of placing it upright in the door compartment. If he does it one more time I'm going to murder him.
