  1. My brother is currently in a quiz team of people around 30 years old who go to a student pub and win the quiz every week. They're all really proud of this and proudly boast about getting answers overturned and showing up the host like a load of David Brents. I'm clinging to the hope that it's his girlfriend dragging him there every week because it sounds really obnoxious.

Sounds like they're bunch of smart-arse bullies to me.  Don't tell Bowler ... he'll PM 'em all.

  2.

I think these two could be a hoot together in TNA, and I don't even like Alberto.

Are they actually engaged or was that some bullshit?

Apparently they are, although whether Del Rio is actually divorced yet I have no idea.

You don't need to be divorced from one person to be engaged to another.  It doesn't constitute bigamy.

  3. I was on the side of No in the last IndyRef, not that it mattered since I'm not Scottish. But now I'm firmly behind independence for them. This union isn't worth trying to preserve. Plus Edinburgh is on our radar as a place we may look at moving to once we've both graduated.

Interesting comment. :)  I'm all for independent nations again, don't get me wrong, but I'd be against Wales becoming part of the federalised EU.  The EEC morphed into something it shouldn't have, in my opinion.  Ted Heath signed this a few months before I was brought into the world, so I've known nothing but the EEC/EU, however hearing stories of more affluence pre-EEC (from older folks) have intrigued me.

I dunno, I'm just keen to have everyone get what they want ultimately.

The union is dying?  Seems so ... 1707 is a real world away from 2017 ...

  4.

What makes her think that another Scottish indy-ref will be any more successful than the first?

Simple answer- because 63% of Scotland voted to remain during the EU referendum. I reckon if this were to happen again, Scotland would gain independence and then probably join the EU down the line.

If that's the case, I wonder whether my great grandmother being from Aberdeen will help me obtain an EU passport...

Hmm, I can see what you mean given that statistic.  Would the cost of EU membership be too much for some Scots to stomach though?

I see wee Jimmy Krankie is sturring it up in Scotland.  What makes her think that another Scottish indy-ref will be any more successful than the first?  And should Wales then follow suit, given that there's a shedload of foreign investment here?  And Northern Ireland too??  Classic divide & rule politics ... she'll be on about building a big wall next ...

  6. I've been looking at these devices ... I'm SOOOOoooo undecided.  Maybe it's Android confusion, 'cos I'm a iOS guy, or maybe my moral compass (what's left of it) is blocking my aged brain from buying.  And now I hear about the "raids" ...

Sell me on the benefits, assuage my fears of a raid.

  7. Going to see The Commitments (the musical) in Brum the weekend after next; should be a laugh.

Unashamedly, I saw We Will Rock You 8 times ... 3 times from the side of the stage ... :) :)  Rock Of Ages 5 times ... once from side of stage.  Saw Chicago with Clare Sweeney, Tell Me On A Sunday with Denise Van Outen, LOADS of tribute acts (Blues Brothers, etc.) & comedians in theatres ... Evita on tour ... serious plays aren't high priority for me.

  8. WHAT FAST FOOD SHOULD GUS MEARS PURCHASE THIS EVENING???!!!!!!

I'm leaning towards a curry. But if I buy a curry, it has to be a Vindaloo and I've got a busy day of Gilbert and Sullivan and heavy drinking tomorrow, so do I really want to damage my arse to that extent prior to a night on the bevvies?

Filthy XL doner kebab ... no salad, chilli & mint sauce ... makes sense & you get the chilli spice without the probable fallout.

  9. I have always, always assumed, believed and maintained that Angelina Jolie smells like bins, and I don’t think a spray of Chanel Grand Extrait would do anything to cover it up.

And I also reckon when she bends over, the view of her badge would resemble that of staring into a half drank pint of Guinness.

Nomination for post of the year!
