  1. It probably depends where they are on the card. If they're on last then they might do something crazy to try and justify it, but if there are other cell matches to follow then they might be told not to overdo it.

Hopefully they don't get stuck in the once traditional "stick a women's match on to calm the fans down before the main event" spot between Reigns Vs Rusev and Rollins Vs Owens. Although I daresay if they do put it there they'll give them more than 3 minutes.

  2.

Found this part of everything that's being reported very interesting.

"It is noted that documents produced by the defendants show that they never had "any real intention of recognizing Corgan as the company's President in charge of the operations", noting that an email between the defendants and Anthem Media noted, "Mr. Corgan may have an agreement providing him with a title, but in the absence of a document

delegating authority to him, it is a vacuous appointment.""

So they gave him a title to make him feel better about being treated like shit but no actual power to go with that title?

They should have just called him assistant to the regional manager

    Vice president?

    No, Junior Vice President.

  3. So I was on Wikipedia browsing a few British wrestlers. Then I go onto Kris Travis page and see this:

"Fans and professional wrestlers alike began petitioning for Travis to be given the WWE Hall of Fame "Warrior Award".[48][49] WWE legend, Mick Foley, pledged his support for the campaign until he found out that Travis was not a WWE Diva."

I guess he's trying to move on from Melina...

  4. I won't be able to buy into World Of Sport style wrestling with JR "Bah Gawd"ing his way through it. If only Gordon Solie was still with us. Joey Styles would be good for some World Of Sport type commentary. Kent Walton had a really reassuring, comforting style to him, he made it seem like a real contest and knew he could just shut up and let the action speak for itself which helped with the suspension of disbelief. No plugs for networks or PPVs, no talking about the match we'd just seen or what was still to come I don't think Good Ol' JR can pull that kind of near-reverence off. Sometimes it feels like he always has to be saying something.

  5. Oh yeah it was catchy enough. The refrain was pretty perfect but they couldn't have filled the gaps in between with somethign even mildly passable?

I actually like 'My World'. Easily Jarrett's best theme . . . of admittedly a shit bunch.

It was better than that instrumental knock-off of Cowboy by Kid Rock he used to have towards the end of WCW. Wasn't there a really dodgy slowed down version of My World he used to have as well later on?

  6. He'll get roped into giving AJ a talking to or something during the build up or something. Maybe they're hoping he'll be an entrant in the rumble as one of those legends that turn up. They should stick him in a match with Ziggler and they can just sell for 25 minutes then finish with 5 minutes of superkicks.

  7. There's a really cynical part of me that's thinking they're putting the women's title match on last/as main event so if the show doesn't do decent numbers Vince can blame that? In all honesty I do think it's a great idea as like people have already mentioned a women's hell in a cell has never been done, and if anybody can do it it'd be Charlotte & Sasha. I'm guessing we'll get a regular match between Bayley & Dana as well on the show.

On an unrelated note how long does anybody think it'll be before we get the return of the Championship Scramble?

Borash could do interviews backstage or present those hour long PPV build shows they stick on Sky Sports to try and get you to buy one on Box Office. Heck he could possibly call MAin Event or suchlike. He's not awful. I remember going to a WWA show with some mates at the MEN donkey's years ago, and he did an admirable job.Matthews & Pope are buggered though. Get Tenay alongside JBL & Mauro on Smackdown instead of Otunga. Just reeling off those little nuggets of information like he used to do on Nitro.

Hasn't he been done with TNA/wrestling in general for a while now? Does some sort of betting podcast now I believe.

I thought he was doing some desk job like Milton in Office Space. Just sat in a warehouse surrounded by boxes writing the descriptions on their Youtube channel.

  10. Genuinely, WWE should be cherry picking out of this real life saga to make a storyline. Maybe don't include the illegal drugs, but a female wrestler falling in love with a male wrestler who people, including her family, suspect might not be good for her, would make for good TV. Go ahead and spoof the proposal entirely, with the woman proposing to the guy in the ring. It'd certainly be better than more meaningless matches.

Was this not ostensibly the birthing of the McMahon-Helmsley era?

  11. It's hardly Blackbird by the Beatles, but it's got a catchy chorus and was much better than My World by Jarrett and the selection of "Please don't sue us" knock-offs everybody else had. Dale Oliver was so worried about not incurring the wrath of Jimmy Hart for ripping off Self High Five that he just completely missed the point and did a middling instrumental version of Teen Spirit instead in the hope nobody would realise.

  12. AJ Styles Vs Abyss from Lockdown 2005. Styles does some great work here, sliding under the guardrail for that springboard, the flying squirrel out of the crowd, selling that cage door like a champ. He takes more than his fair share of beatings as well. Fantastic contest. He's got the proper entrance music as well. I had it as the alarm on my phone for a while, alternated with Edge's Alter Bridge music.

  13. If the Rumble is running 4 hours could it be they're toying with a Raw Rumble and a Smackdown Rumble match? I wonder how they'll deal with the commentary for the duel brand PPV matches now. You reckon we're going to have all six of them calling the matches like they did with that Rumble a couple of years ago? Saxton & Otunga would surely be surplus to requirements?
