  1. It appears Kris Travis has just passed away. Such a shame. He was a brilliant talent and would probably have gone really far if he'd not been taken ill with that cancer a couple of years ago. I remember him in a cracking last man standing match with Chris Masters in PCW and a hell of a contest with Tommy End at an hXc show in Manchester.

  2.

I was at the hospital earlier and in the waiting room they had some program on BBC1 at 2'o clock and euring one scene they played the AJ Styles TNA/WWE Fastlane Evil Ways song. You always hear that. Must be stock music or something.

I had no idea that the Fastlane song was AJ's song in TNA. I gave up on TNA by then.

AJ needs to bring back the 'You are, you are, I am, I am' theme.

I used to have that as my alarm before I started using Edge's theme.

  3. She is a brilliant heat magnet, and putting Naitch with her increases that. Her ringwork does need some work, but I'm assuming if Sasha wins the belt at 'Mania they can take a little extra time to work on that. She was fantastic against Brie at Fastlane with the Yes chants, although I get the feeling that match is going to be featuring quite prominently in the next Botchamania.

  4. I'm a huge Sting mark, and would love to see him go again, but don't think it's going to happen, especially if he's going into the Hall Of Fame on the Saturday. I would have thought if he was going to wrestle again he wouldn't be going in. This isn't like the TNA Hall Of Fame where the latest inductee(s) usually end(s) up headlining the PPV they get inducted on,

  5. They should have pulled the trigger with the Reigns push when he broke the eliminations record at the Rumble in 2014 and had him win, then they could have finagled the shot off him somehow, or even left him to be the third man between D-Bry & Orton in the Mania 30 triple threat main event. The year after, when we knew he was winning, he got a late draw and just hasn't appeared bothered for his whole run. Rather than being a workhorse like Cena to justify why he deserves to be at the top in spite of the boos he seems to be carrying himself with this entitled attitude of "I'm the top guy, what are you going to do about it?" and the fans' response is total apathy. Not booing him, just failing to acknowledge him. I think an audible will be called, and it'll be the Triple H Mania 19 audible whereby he'll retain the title against Reigns at 'Mania but not in the main event as Ambrose Vs Lesnar or Shane/whoever Vs Undertaker will go on last because short of another nonsense segment or Truth Vs Adam Rose match the crowd would be dead having to watch through those two matches before Trips Vs Roman. Also, how awesome would it be if the contents of Shane's lockbox was the old chain that Cena used to use as the Doctor of Thugonomics and that Cena was the one brought back to face the Deadman in hell in a cell?

Just came by this, hahaha he's bitter about everything,

What's he bitter about on this? He seems in good spirits talking about his childhood.

I wonder whether they've been sitting on this footage for a while or what he's done to his hand over the last few days. It's like since he retired he's made of glass.

  7. I can't really say I've seen shedloads of ECW, and some of it was pretty dire, but One Night Stand and Heatwave '98 to me are probably two of the finest PPVs I've seen. There seems to be something for everyone on those shows: some decent technical affairs, wild brawls and hard hitting spectacles. The Mike Awesome Vs Masato Tanaka matches are amongst my favourite matches ever because I'd never seen such athleticism from a guy Mike Awesome's size at the time, Tanaka's refusal to sell anything and those ridiculous chairshots.

  8. My experience with the Hasbros is limited, it consists of a tag team fued between the Bushwackers (Luke had that Skinner-style stomp action) and the team of Ultimate Warrior & Macho King Randy Savage (small rosters make for strange bedfellows) when I picked them all up on a long weekend to Blackpool. Once we returned home they were the centrepieces of a federation that consisted of a Gamorrean guard from RoTJ, a selection of Master Of The Universe figures and a couple of Visionaries action figures. There was also a strange GI Joe 5" scale HM Murdoch figure who was usually a referee or manager. I'm contemplating starting to book something similar with my Amiibos on Wii U Smash Brothers, but it wouldn't be the same.
