  1. yeah, it counts from midnight tonight. i've just got my spotify streaming already ( three month free premium - boom!) because i'm not going to be awake at midnight so i don't want to waste six hours where i could've been streaming. I've pre-ordered all twelve on amazon and when they go live on bandcamp i'll get em again, but you have to remember to download them as well as just buy them on bandcamp because apparently it doesn't count towards the chart unless you download it, even though you've paid.

with streams apparently 100 streams from a paid account count as one sale, 600 from a free acount count as a sale.

it blows my tiny little mind that music can be heard off a spinning plastic disc and needle.

i've had it explained to me a few times, watched videos about how it works, own hundreds of them but i still don't really comprehend how it all works. it should't sound that good.

as for ladbaby, he's been clever this year getting Martin Lewis and other as yet unannounced "beloved" musical artists on his song, he obviously knows the public are on to him and wouldn't be buying his song in sufficient numbers if it was just him and Mrs Baby, last year he got Elton and Sheeran in on it but this year he's realised he needs even more national treasures on it to ensure their fanbases buy it.

If you are worried about always wanting another one, one is too many and ten isn’t enough.

thats a big part of the problem, especially when i'm out, when i drink at home it's always three, unless there's a reason for more (people over, Christmas) but like i say they;re my measures. But on the rare occasion i'm out i really don't register the need to not have another.

Cheers for replying though, sorry it was such a long post.

Chas and Dave’s Christmas Knees Up is under appreciated in my book

How did I forget this? I signed up guy a free trial to britbox last year loft l just to watch it, I felt dirty for the britbox thing but the lads made it worth it.

  5. Obviously Bottom is the best, essentially viewing every year, aside from that I always watch the League of Gentlemen Christmas Special every Christmas Eve after the kids have gone to bed, usually timed to be followed by the years Ghost Story for Christmas, before Gatiss brought it back I usually followed League with The Signalman, but during three two weeks leading up I'll watch most of the classics (A Warning to the Curious, Whistle & I'll Come to you, Treasure of Abbott Thomas etc)

Obviously Father Ted needs to be viewed, as does Blackadder, just so I can get annoyed that the "nail up the dog" version seems to be omitted from most versions you can get hold of. A recent addition to my Christmas viewing list is A Very Murray Christmas which just gets funnier every year, especially the singing.

Oh and Happy Holidays! with Frank and Bing is another one I have to watch on my own because nobody else in the house will even though for me it's about the most Christmassy thing ever.

  6. It's beginning to look a lot like.....

Third go at the Christmas chart for the big fella with the beautiful hair, and this time the video is a UKFF crowd pleaser - Tories AND Wrestling!

  7. If you like Toblerone the Poundland version (Twin Peaks) is good, they launched it when the real toblerones that they sold for £1 started to be silly with huuuuge gaps between chunks, they do about five flavours now and they're all good, especially the white one

Poundland do a very good version of honey mustard pretzel pieces called Crackzels, only 75p a bag and very Snyder like in its moreishness, they also do them in Jalapeño and Garlic Bread flavours, not had the former but the latter is very mild and buttery

Until I browsed this thread this morning I had no idea, I've just had a pack of the honey mustard, they're bloody lovely. Best 75p I've ever spent. Luckily I bought eight packs just based on the feedback on this thread alone. I'll have to go back to stock up soon

Where are selling these crinkle cut beauties?

I got the Beef and Yorkshire Pudding ones in Heron. They were pleasent enough but a bit dissapointing

I also had some Adnams Ghost Ship crisps the other day, for the first couple of crisps it's so weird, like eating a can of Shandy Bass, then after the first few it's like eating a beermat that's had a pint spilled on it and been left out to dry.

The BBC has gone full black suit and all the royals are rushing to Balmoral.

This thread for all Queen / Royal succession chat 🤔

I'm disappointed that you didn't start this thread with "So... this is going to be a thing isn’t it?" I genuinely clicked on the thread title thinking that would be the first words I saw. oh well.

Off to see Alabama 3 in July, looking forward to it. Seen them previously and enjoyed it.

Between 98-2007 I saw than more times than I can remember, used to be phenomenal live, then children curbed my obsession and I've only seen them twice since then at family friendly festivals, I'll be interested to hear how it works live without D Wayne, obviously he didn't really contribute that much musically but was focal to the live performance. They've all got the tunes and Larry and Orlando and great obviously but without the big man it might seem weird.

  12. I must have been rally lucky because i've had four fillings over the last ten years or so and i asked to give it a go without the injection on three of them and it was fine, i was in and out of there in no time and could eat straight away without worrying about chewing my face off and no pain at all. Presumably there weren't too close to the nerve because it was, while not exactly enjoyable perfectly bareable.  The one time the dentist said i wouldn't be able to do it without the anaesthetic i felt loada of pain within seconds and almost passed out, they got the oxygen out and everything. felt like crap for hours after. I might just have a generally bad reaction to local anaesthetic because when i had my vasectomy within a few seconds of the injections going in i felt the most intense pain i've ever felt for about a minute - like someone had got a pair of pliers on  the lads - while the local was doing its job, bloody awful it was, so I might just not get on with the local as a rule.

  13. Weirldy the pictures in the links that @WyattSheepMask found are of the single disc versions however the reviews all point to them being the double disc versions so who can but say? Might be safest to try instore because i think they might have both versions listed under the same number / whatever system they have. I know when i bought my spare copy of Empire I had to tell them they were putting the wrong disc in because they only put one disc in. The way you can tell is the two discer has the lettering and band at the top in gold, the single disc version is silver.

I wish I'd kept tapes of the original versions of the Star Wars trilogy, which have never made it to DVD and presumably will never make it to streaming unless they're painstakingly restored/un-"improved" as per that fan project.

About 15 years ago they released 2 disc versions of  each of the original trilogy with disc 1 being the at the time latest versions of special editions and disc 2 being the Theatrical Cuts, i think they've been deleted but about 2 years about in CEX they had them for £1.50 each.

that's a link to one of them on ebay, i'm sure if you try a few CEX's you'll get them cheaper.

  15. So I got some ridiculously cheap tickets for Barry Manilow on Friday night.... something something Family Guy.... I'm sure it'll be worth the money but it's been hard finding someone to come with me, I've had to resort to asking my wife who has said if I can't find anyone else she'll tag along, that's love for you.

He toured a few years ago and I read a few reviews that said he was amazing so... Barry fucking Manilow.. never in all my born days did I think id be going to see him.
