  1. I'm a newbie to Pride but I've seen a fair amount of MMA and I'm a bit confused with the rules. At the Pride Real Deal PPV in the US the rules were different to the usual Pride rules because of the state athletic commission. So no head stomps, no knees to a downed opponent. The thing is there were other Pride rules that were different to usual MMA rules. Like no elbows to the head or knees to the head. Now these can't have been changed because of the athletics commission because UFC have elbows and knees. Are these a usual set of rules for Pride? because it seems very strange when they usually allow stomps to the head in Japan.

  2. I was wondering if any of you puro buffs or film fans could shed any light on Giant Baba's involvment in Sonny Chiba's 70's martial arts films. I've just watched Yakuza Deka: The Assassin and he has a great cameo in that. Did he appear in other films or was it a one off and what was the reason behind it?cheers,DEF

  3. How are TNA doing financially these days? I remember reading just after they started on Spike that they predicted they would start to make money by Christmas. Any word on whether this has happened? Obviously they aren't going to recoup what they have lost anytime soon but are they at least making money yet?

  4. Does anyone know any website where I can read about wrestling styles, and where I can download the 20/11/05 edition of Impact?

For Impact to the official TNA forum and sign up, then go to the Televison Shows section and there is a Downloads thread with nearly every episode of Impact. They put up the latest episode Tuesdays after the repeat from monday night. The best thing is its all legal which is nice for once as TNA themselves allow it to be put up.
  5. Infernal Affairs 2 - Not as good as the first for me but still damn good. I can totally see where they comparisons to the godfather come from. The Cinematography didnt seem as interesting as the 1st either. Its nice companion to the first film and I'm looking forward to seeing the 3rd intsallment. ***3/4
