yeh, i don't think anyone's claiming Coyle/Campbell is in anyway superfight for boxing, it's always mentioned as a big event for the city of Hull. I love the idea of the fight, if they can put 15-20,000 in a stadium for a fight between the two most popular fighters in the City why not do it? What's the problems at KC Stadium?
Campbell's first pro fight was suppose to be at the KC Stadium, but in the end it was staged at Craven Park, due to it being unavailable. When there were rumblings of the fight between the two earlier this year, KC Stadium was mentioned but the weekend they wanted to stage the event, the stadium is not available. For some reason there always seems to be some issue with the KC stadium, such as being unavailable due to a squash tournament(!) possibly hidden agendas with the Council/Allam/SMC.
I think one issue with the KC stadium is that the Council want to sell it but not to Assem Allam, fhe way it is going I can see another Coventry/Rioch arena type situation.

It's a superfight in Hull, which has no history of producing any boxers of note. All they have to look forward to is Steve Bruce's shiny face, average rugby league, and the Deep. For Hull this is bigger than the time They gave £100 to every teenage mother in the city and racked up a debt equal to Greece.
It will draw 20k+ and will be over in about 5 rounds.
Not forgetting the Humber Bridge and Hull can lay claim to one of the best Christmas episodes of Only Fools and Horses. Seriously though, rather harsh comments for my home city. Luke Campbell is a very promising British Fighter and they are trying to progress his career in the right way in a few years time could be very much be in the big time. Of course it is going to be considered locally as a super fight - it is between to Hull fighters, however to many people it will just be considered a normal fight. One question though, where it be held? KC Stadium generally seems off limits due to the piss poor way it is operated! It only really leaves The Lightstream Stadium (AKA Craven Park)

#141 was the RAW bowl, which might be on there because it was downright awful and featured a absolute tonne of product placement etc.. By the time they edit out what they wouldn't have to pay for, there would barely be an episode left.
Noticed episode #141 still isn't on the Network as of yet, hopefully by they get to end of 1996 they will add another block of Nitros. The missing episodes of RAW from 1996 are now up on the network , the only exception being #179 which I'm sure will go up soon enough once what edits need to be made have been done.
The latest addition to Beyond The Ring is 'Greatest Wrestling Factions' which was released last May
Also, the missing episode is #178, not #-79 like I said yesterday
Ah the RAW Bowl, think that was one of the very first episodes shown on SKY on a Friday Night wasnt it? I remember loving it at the time, but after seeing it again fairly recently it wasn't good.

Watched the Hall of Fame from 2004 and 2005 and Booby Heenan was absolutely brilliant. It is such a shame what has happened to him over the course of the last few years with a terrible illness, I cannot help but think he would have been a bit of a main stay as a Hall of Fame inductor.

Vince McMahon lying in a casket with Paul Bearer looking on.
ADDED: Pic was taken from the WWE.com site.
Great photo, always wondered about that angle, did Warrior simply leave the casket, through a trap door or something similar whilst they were trying to get the casket open or did he just stay in there and did they have some sort of breathing apparatus concealed in the padding at the top, hence the rips once opened.
A closed coffin has enough air for about 5 hours, or 15 mins of warrior panting
Different era I guess, but I cannot imagine them taking the same sort of risks now without breathing apparatus or a trap door/secret exit.

oh.....
Thanks for the link
Qucik question was watching the Hall of Fame show from 2004 amd can anyone tell me if the match footage featuring any blood was shown in black and white on the DVD version or has it just been edited for the Network?
-
Hall of Fame stuff is up now. It's all the ceremonies from 2004 on, but not the 1994-96 stuff. They've also got a load of the inductions up individually for some reason.
Black History Month seems to have disappeared, so the original claim of stuff never being taken down was clearly bollocks.
Yes a bit like the random episode of WWF Mania they had up earlier this year.

Why didn't you just click on Wrestlemania 29?
The problem with the iPad version of the Network is that it has no chapters when watching a PPV, so unless you know the exact point the match is on the PPV that you want to watch it could take some time trying to find it.
-
I don't understand. Wouldn't you just watch the event for those matches?
I know what you mean, but sometimes its good to just watch the odd match from a certain PPV and I think these programmes are a welcome addition. To me the biggest issue with the Network is the search option not being fit for purpose, the other day I sent what seemed like an eternity searching for The Undertaker vs CM Punk from Wrestlemania 29 and in the end give up!

Not sure if this is right, but there's a theory the $25 certificate is only for people who signed up right when it started and have had it continuously with auto-renew switched on.
I was one of those so hopefully I should receive one.

How tall are Jedwood? As they appearing to crouching a little on the photo and kinda make Jericho a little on the short side.

Shawn Michaels plugging his new book and has something interesting to say about HHH...
Would he wrestle Triple H if he wanted him to in a retirement match?
“Well obviously I think I’d consider it but I guess I know my buddy well enough I don’t think he’d ask. But of course, let’s put it this way, I’ve had some folks already ask me some pretty moving things about their last matches or matches they’ve wanted. I’ve given all of them some thought but again, to your point earlier about ‘you have a great body of work’, I want to keep that body of work. He’ll always be my buddy, but right now we’re not on the best of terms. I don’t agree with things that he’s doing I just feel like I left on as close to a perfect situation as you can and I always just I want to make sure that I honor that and take care of that. So, certainly, I’d consider it because he’s my buddy, and I’d do anything for my buddy so it’d be something that we’d certainly discuss but I think he’d understand if I turned it down.”
"Not on the best of terms"? Wonder what has gone on there?

Was watching Wrestlemania xx earlier and Billy Kidman looked like he had bulked up considerably at this time, cannot reallly remember much of his WWE run to be honest.

Has anyone purchased anything from squaredcircle.com? They have some good looking t shirts on there, but unsure of the quality etc.
I ordered the grey Parts Unknown tshirt a few months ago. Great quality, no fading on the image, and a hard wearing tshirt too. Not a cheap, thin material. And a good fit too. I get XL, and they are nicely fitted. Not like a tent but not skin tight either. Well worth the money IMO.
Excellent, thank you!

Love this thread!
Question time, was there plans to relaease Monday Night Raw episodes in 1995, but was subsequently cancelled due to licensing issues and we ended up getting The Best Of Raw sets instead?

Certainly airbrushed. However, most cover models are airbrushed so it's hardly a groundbreaking first.
Think I might have to pick the magazine up as Im intrigued to know his training regime.

Any word on when the eBook is available?
It has been pushed back to Spring.

Like the Shawn Michaels figure, although I would have preferred the black and white trunks myself.
