Why was the Jake Roberts vs DiBiase match at Wrestlemania 6 for the "Million Dollar Belt"? Why, kayfabe wise, would he want the belt? Did they actually have a real feud? Seemed like a match thrown together.

Jake wanted to take what was most precious to DiBiase as he'd put Jake out a number of months earlier with career threatening injuries. I believe in reality Jake had to take time off due to some legal issues.

Think this lays it all out.

But it did lead to this bit of greatness.

I love Jos LeDuc!  One of my all-time favourites, what was he doing in that angle, just hanging around? I've never seen him in WWF - though looking on Wiki, it sounds like he had a cup of coffee there in 1988 and that's all, so that would explain it.

Yep just hanging around. I'd have hated him though just because of his association and my hatred of Frenchy Martin as a kid.

    God bless Monsoon Classic.

I think it was old time Canadian wrestler Jos LeDuc

Absolutely never heard of him. Looks like the guy on his wiki page and it states he was there. I thought it was Mad Dog Vachon so thanks for clearing that up Rev.

At least Jinder looks the part. He looks like a wrestler. He doesn't look like the local fat guy walking around the streets at half 9 in the morning cause he's unemployed and waiting for his girlfriend to bring him his breakfast back from the local cafe after dropping the kids at school.

He looks the part. He acts the part.

I bet you so wanted to put Kevin Owens into that paragraph. How hard was it to resist?

  5. Watching the newly uploaded Primetimes on the network and the first of 1989 has highlights of 1988.

During the coronation of King Haku there is a guy in brown overalls with a bald head and a beard. Kinda like Erick Rowan in 25 years time. I'm sure I've seen him before but can't quite put my finger on it. Any help?

  6. HBK turning up to say fuck all.

    Sounds like a Scotswizard post.

It was all a bit meh this week. Unless Foley does something at Wrestlemania he's just going to be completely emasculated again by Stephanie. The Stephanie character is just far too strong and overbearing. Surely she realises it wouldn't hurt to be caught out once in a while and show a bit of arse like her dad used to. (Not the kiss my ass club)

I'll be honest this is one Wrestlemania I won't be staying awake for. First in many years. I'll wait till I've dropped the little one off at nursery and go then. It just doesn't seem to be worth staying up for.

This is now Ruby's pinned tweet.

    Who the fuck is Ruby?

That's called predictive text. Can cause some errors especially when it's a name not commonly used within the systems or your own personal dictionary. If you'd like to recheck it you'll find it is fixed. Any further spelling or grammatical comments well you just send them over. ☺️

So what do you want your characters to be, realistic or larger than life?

Do you want them to be complex or crudely drawn cartoons? You go on about all the great characters of the 80's and 90's but if we're honest you're looking at them through the lens of nostalgia.

My daughter will always have an affinity for Peppa Pig or Skye from Paw Patrol, but it's not like they're Shakespearean figures. Neither is the Big Bossman.

Conversely you dismiss one of the most well drawn characters in wrestling in years as a fat waste of space or 'just a wrestler'.

He wants a realistic, down to Earth show...that's completely off the wall & swarming with magic robots

Don't forget the sexy women. We're not real men if we don:t want to watch scantily clad women who bring nothing to our men wrestling in underwear.

  9. Lovely timing while listening to this. Listening to it on a packed packed train due to Lime Street landslide. Phoned missus to tell her how everything was. End the call and all you can hear from my loud speaker at a good loud tone is Kieran saying "I think it was piss. Toxic steroid blue piss." Great. Some decidedly dodgy looks now.

  10. Yeah but your listening to both Russo and Disco who are both fucking doughnuts at the best of times.

I'd rather have Dirty Dutch write TV for me to watch than either of your fucking two clowns. At least with Dutch writing I more inclined to watch. If Russo was I wouldn't bother whether it was on free to or not.

Besides Russo is just bitching as he hasn't been asked. If he has he'd be crawling up Jarrett's arse quicker than Benno can put up a graph showing TV ratings.

I liked Owen slightly downbeat in ring promo. And Sheamus's brogue kick to Enzo. I really don't think I can put up with Enzo and Cass as champions but I think that the way The Club are currently being used shows there isn't much faith in them as long term champions.

I really fucking hated Stephanie McMahon putting herself into the Divas issues. It just felt unnecessary and demeans Bayley's win a little. Just don't think she was needed to forward the story in such a way.

  12. Rare Replay is the only reason I would consider picking up an Xbone. I spent so much time playing Banjo Kazooie as a kid, I would love to relive some of those memories

Is Viva Pinata on it as well? I lost a stupid amount of hours to that, nothing quite like that feeling of attracting a crocodile piñata to your garden!

It's kinda worth it just for a copy of Conker's Bad Fur Day.

£95 Cex wanted for the N64 copy the other day.

Has anyone been getting the fortnightly Transformers UK hardbacks? They are costly at a tenner but the four I'm very bought have been good to fantastic reads.

Roll on the complete Time Wars in hardback form.

I've recently signed up for the subscription service. Waiting for the third issue to be delivered. Picked up the first two from WH Smiths. Absolute bargain at the introductory prices. Target 2006, Book 1,was £1.99!

Still good value even at full price. Plus you get free gifts if you subscribe. A little concerned that the next issue hasn't arrived yet. Especially as I have seen it in some shops.I highly recommend picking up the first two if they are still available at the shops. The quality is impressive.

World War Hulk is fun. To whoever was asking about Hulk books.

Number 4 came out in the stores last Wednesday. I'd get onto them with regards to the delivery as 5 is out on a week tomorrow. And 4 is really really good.

Plus has anyone read the Judge Dredd files? Are they worth getting?
