OSW Review released their latest episode last night (WCW Superbrawl VI) and also added the audio of WCW World War 3 1995 to iTunes

Mr Hunter and lads continue to be an absolute delight. Another great watch.

Ric Flair on his podcast said he shagged Halle Berry back in 97 on his podcast. He kept that quiet.

I for one believe Naitch.

 

Listened to his podcast and the conviction in his voice to me suggests that he did indeed have a a crack at Halle.

 

Good old Naitch, 1997 Halle Berry aswell. Good man.

Been watchin post No Mercy 2000 and i cant say enough good things about it. I know what happens but its still must watch TV.

 

Some highlights...

 

E&C- comedy gold, the stable with Angle is laugh out loud stuff.

Angle- now the champ, the goofball/amazing wrestler dynamic is seemless. "Cripes on a Friday".

Foley- superb as the Commish

Regal- those pre match in ring promos and facials- so bloody good.

Jericho- super over, has a brilliant back stage promo with Rocky hyping a no 1 contenders match made on the fly.

Test- i know Test! In a highlights list! But he hits a sweet elbow off the top onto Crash (who is doing the Vince Mania 22 bin gimmick minus the table)

 

The overlapping storylines are the key to this era. Its makes everything mean something... and JR losing his shit over everything.

 

Wouldnt be right without me slating the shite on offer which would be the Undertaker. Just a fat leather wearing ginger mess. Was Triple H supposed to be face before the "Austin reveal"? The fella is so unlikable.

Well worth a listen.

Lesnars current run is now twice as long as his original run.

 

Obviously he is booked sparringly this run but i would love to know how long he was with the company from when he debuted on TV to when he wrestled his 17th match during his 1st run. 17 as that is number of televised matches he has wrestled since his re-debut in April 2012.

 

Forgot about Punk so its 18, i think.

Wade Barrett's gave his notice to WWE. Which is sort of surprising but at the same time isnt.

This makes sense after watching that Ride Along show on the network.

I thought it was strange at the time that he didnt even mention himself, it was like Wade Barrett as a character never existed. Weird. So the facts hes off makes sense. Hearts not in it anymore.

 

Ive always been a fan of having Bad News on the telly so good look to him.

It's horrible, isn't it? Between the age of 10-20 seemed to go on forever. 20-30 fucking flew by. I'm dreading hitting 40 in what will no doubt come around even faster. My nephew is 15 now and he pointed out the other day that he's as old now as I was when he was born. Bastard depressing to think about. It seemed like more happened in wrestling just between 1998 and 2000, a two year span, than has happened in any five year period before or since. From 2002 onwards, once there was no more Monday Night Wars, no real competition, things seemed to get stale quicker.

He wore red ones at Backlash 01 when him and Trips won the tag titles, and gold ones at Judgement Day 01 vs Taker. Just watched both shows9 over the weekend.

 

Are these "gold braces" the snake skin ones? They are a golden colour but the pattern on them is snake skin.

 

I appreciate im marking out for a pair of knee braces but by saying they are gold doesnt do them justice. The pattern on them is delicious.

Heyman on commentary in 2001 was just a joy to behold.

 

Been watching alot of 2001 Raws and the man is awesome, to the point were he may be better than 98-00 Lawler, Lawler was great but Heyman is great and in context to what is going on too.

 

Im upto the 1st week of June in 2001 and i know the Invasion is coming because Lance Storm and Hugh Morris have hit their finishers in mid card matches.

Glad to see its a very Sasha and Bayley heavy list.

Watchin Raws from after Mania X7 (not the SmackDowns though because the Network.)

 

Upto May and is Austin is changing up his braces. Id heard he did this during his heel run, id heard he had red ones which hes worn aince ive been watching. This Raw in May he is wearing what im pretty sure are snakeskin pattern braces, which is awesome.

 

What other colour braces did he wear?

Watched the opening 10 minutes and the last 5 minutes. Everything in between looked as if i had already seen it before.

 

Though Vince was setting up Reigns vs Vince for next week, audible groan from the crowd when he announced Sheamus was probably my highlight of the show, but like others have echoed the cliff this show has fell off in the past 2 weeks is massive.

The SCG podcast have taken top spot from the New Gen lads for me. Very funny, LIKEABLE lads with a great knowledge for the biz.

 

Churning them out every week and im not going to like getting a shout out from them always gets a pop.

I thought it was "anything Benoit" but the only Raws from 2004 on there are the 5/6 before Mania 20. They have got nearly all the 2003 SD! that Benoit features heavily all year.

 

They can keep the 2007 Raws but id like to see 05/06 Raws up soon.

That finish in the WWE title match at Vengeance 03 is awful.

 

A 3 way with Lesnar (the champ), Angle and Big Show.

 

Angle pins Lesnar to win the belt. Big Show wasnt even on the next PPV, he had already been beaten by Brock at the previous PPV. The match set up a Angle v Lesnar match at SummerSlam were Angle again beat Lesnar? I dont understand why they had Brock lose 2 PPVs in a row as a babyface. I appreciate he turned not long after but back to my original point, why the hell didnt Big Show take the pin at Vengeance? I have no issue with putting the belt on Angle but beating Lesnar twice was soft.
