Also, on the explanation stuff - I don't know that I agree. The point of the film was what was happening to that character and how he responded. That was the story. The wider story or the explanation behind it, not so much.
It's like, I don't think The Birds would be massively improved with an explanation. And I don't think anybody thinks Star Wars was improved by them explaining how The Force works.
I'm not saying explanations are bad, but it depends on the story. I think there's a difference between paying a story off (which they do here, with the ending and the focus on his relationships), and explaining a set-up. It wasn't a mystery story about why this was happening. It was a story about it happening and what that meant for the main character.
Yeah, I'd say the reason for why it was happening was irrelevant.

I'm into Free As A Bird too and like the original recording. Hadn't heard the original recording of this before so didn't know what to expect but first impression is it's alright for what it is and it sounds pretty decent for a Beatles song in 2023. Might need a few repeat listens to fully gauge how I feel on it.

I did find that it was really handy to notate certain parts and highlight certain words to get the definition. The downside for me was that every page looked and felt the same and the dodgy copies of books I got didn't give an accurate representation of how far I was into a book (my fault obvs). I've felt more inclined to buy physical copies, which I have done for a few years now. Great for travelling though especially, eReaders.

I was always a big Triple H fan too but got less into him as time's gone on. I think it was a combination of No Way Out '01 being the first PPV to get me watching wrestling semi-regularly and him being good to play as in the games. I find his offence and selling always looks good too.
I still like him now, but he was the least cool in DX, the least cool in Evolution, had that boring phase in '03 coming back from injury, the Jericho and Booker T Mania matches, playing a part in stopping Punk's momentum after the Pipe Bomb, and many others in between.
I've not watched it back in years but I think his match with Bryan at Mania XXX could be up there with his best.

Splendid. Only just got a Switch but there's so many games I want to play on there. I've not had a Nintendo console in years but it's just what I want from gaming. People say it's an old console and had old hardware at the time but I think the graphics are often beautiful, partly because they're not trying to be hyper-realistic.

After hearing good things about Pikmin 4 on here, I'm keen on getting into it. Is it fine to jump in on this one or is it worth playing the first ones too as I've not played them?

I opened my first bottle of wine with a corkscrew recently and was chuffed. The corkscrew we had before was one with the two arms that are meant to lift it out, but I'd have no idea what I was doing with it and end up cocking the cork up. At social events, when I realised I'd bought a bottle with a cork in it, I'd take the bottle with corkscrew to another room and attempt to open it away from any spectators whilst watching YouTube tutorials on my phone. This one was more of a standard one and I was by myself.
Also can't swim, tie a tie properly, or do my shoelaces in the standard way with any speed (I do the two bunny ears way).

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Before All In me and a couple of friends went on the AEW merch site and there were some honking designs on there and Punk's was the best for sure.

I'm pretty out of the loop with AEW (I watched the latest Collision but hadn't seen much this past year before that). I'm going to this event so need to pick up storylines/characters.
Anyone have any suggestions on where would be a good place to pick up from/matches worth watching? Cheers

I'm playing FFVII back at the moment and I've no inclination to do anything with Cid, Cait Sith, Yuffie or Vincent. Cid's a dick, Cait Sith's a grass for Shinra, and Yuffie steals shit from you and has that side quest where she's running away from you in Wutai. Maybe more incentive for Cid as he becomes the leader of the ship.

When I started uni we had a lecturer who'd end sentences with 'in those kind of ways' a lot. I didn't know anyone at the time but thought to myself that I couldn't be the only one who noticed how often he used it. I was proven right when in the following lectures he'd say it and then I'd hear several pens click straight after each time. You could see it put him off his tracks too, poor sod.
