  1. I'm not sure how to upload pictures on here but according to Matt Hardy and Manik they just got paid and it was nice of them to revel how much they got paid....$4.000 and Matt seemed to have a lot of cheques. Would that figure be per appearance? because if so I don't know how it compares to WWE but that is pretty decent. I wouldn't grumble lol on a side note how does that figure compare to WWE?

  2. I never considered that Jake would be un-truthful and it saddens me that you may be right, I always considered Jake to be somebody who tells I like it is and is brutally honest, at this stage in his life and career in hoping that he doesn't hold back because he has nothing to loose by being honest and admitting his faults which I cant help feeling he will in this book. Jake through his struggles and battles with various demons doesn't seem to be the type to be in denial that he is a saint. I really think this book could go very deep and dark if Jake really bares his soul on to the pages.

Iv never watched any of his shoot interviews (or anybody else for that matter) but I did have the some what of a dis-pleasure of being on a tour of Scotland with him some years back, he was a drunken mess they entire time but with that said his mind and story telling had me gripped so even then he was captivating. That was the same tour he got in to an altercation with Alex Shane and Alex slapped him across the face and knocked him back in to his chair leaving Jake a bubbling/crying mess, there saw a highlight video of the tour on youtube, you can witness the mess he was. I couldn't be any happier to have seen him turn his life around and get himself back on track.

  3. Jake Roberts is proof reading his autobiography and he wants it released soon. This is a book I have been praying for and it should be an incredible and interesting read, I just hope Jake has a strong memory and doesn't gloss over his rivalries and in ring stuff in favour of stories regarding his battles with various demons outside the ring. I'm not to worried however, if Jake can deliver his stories on paper the way he does when speaking with that tangible subtle intensity that really has you gripped to every word...then this book could quiet easily be the best wrestling autobiography ever released.

Pat Patterson is also in the very early stages of releasing his autobiography, again this should be a fantastic read filled with cracking tales of the territories, life on the road and backstage shananigans. Pattersons career has spanned many decades and is one of a few wrestlers who have been around through various roles backstage from the territory days to the 2000's. Another book I will definitely have to buy when its released.

  4. Sorry that's right I got that wrong but I still cant see what's so hard to understand about my idea. Obviously it wouldn't be as clean cut as signing a piece of paper there would be a lot of behind the scenes stuff going on prior and after the match to settle real business stuff.

Id be looking forward to the match and it would interest me anyway...

  5. It has to happen sometime Vince passing the company down to Stephanie or Shane so why not make an angle out of it? I really cant understand what is so hard to understand, I'm sure I read it a while back on some wrestling news website that it was actually being considered within WWE.

  6. Its wrestling anything can happen and often does. Vince could be obviously so certain he/or the person representing him is going to win that he takes the match and agrees to the stipulation. Obviously that would all happen only if Vince actually did want to step down as CEO and pass WWE and its control over to Triple and Stephanie.

It has to happen some time, Vince isn't getting any younger and just like his dad passed the company down to his son, Vince will one day pass it down to Stephanie or Shane but obviously if its Shane then my idea goes out of the window, unless Shane returns to WWE and gets involved in the storyline.

  7. Well the if Vince looses or should I say the wrestler representing him looses then the next night on Raw, Vince signs the company over to HHH and Stephanie and legit steps down as owner marking the start of a new generation. But then again from what I have read I struggle to believe that Vince would really step down as he is a work-a-holic but any thing cam happen in the World Wrestling Federation, I mean Entertainment.

Or have HHH v against Vince himself but not long after the action kicks off have Sting come out leading everyone to believe he is going to help Vince but instead cost Vince the match and the next night on Raw explain his actions as he wants to ignite the fire again that WWE once had, the same fire that over come WCW and drove it in to the ground and the reason he cost Vince the match is because he believes HHH is the man ignite that fire thus turning Triple face and along with Stephanie obviously the new owner of WWE.

  8. I'm really hoping for this years WrestleMania HHH vs the Rock (or less likely Stone Cold) with Vince in their corner with the winner ownership of WWE on the line. Vince for me these days is probably stuck in his ways and lacking in fresh creative thinking. It would be very interesting to see HHH and Stephanie in charge and see what changes they make and what new things they can bring to the table as far as creativity. WWE for me is getting very stale, very fast these days and seems to be peaked as far as creativity is concerned.

I think a fresh perspective and pair of eyes is just what WWE needs at the moment to really draw back some much needed interest and excitement.

  9. I haven't seen the said promos but Ryback and Roman Reigns seem to be having trouble in that area from what iv read, I wonder why WWE seems to have soured on having managers represent wrestlers who struggle with promos, with that said Ryback and Reigns are both face so I think it wouldn't do them many favours standing behind a manager but I'm sure they could make it work.

If these guys cant get basic promo skills down then I think they are going to struggle long term connecting with the fans. John Cena was lucky he had decent promo skills, I can't see him being were he is today if he nose dived everytime he had a microphone in his had. Early on in any wrestlers push or starting out being able to connect with fans verbally for me is really important, in ring ability will only get you so far.

  10. He did an RF one way back, it was ok, as great as he, not really that interesting.

What would be Jackie's interesting stories?

Just with her having a long and varied career that spans many years and promotions, she's obviously been around during key times in wrestling and in various locker rooms, I'm sure she was privy to a lot of backstage going on's and it would be interesting to hear her comments on the people she has worked with during her career.

  11. Yeah Iv always had they impression from Chris Jericho that he has a pretty big ego and is under they impression that WWE needs Chris Jericho when in actual fact its probably Chris Jericho needs WWE, especially since his TV work had dried up and his rock band failed/failing to set the world on fire. Iv never really been a big fan of Jericho, if it weren't for his recent returns over the past few years reminding casual fans of WWE who he is, he'd be largely forgettable. I think unlike the Rock, Austin, Shawn Michaels etc who no longer need the spotlight but dip in and out of it, Chris Jericho is hanging on it with both hands but trying to put over they impression he can take it or leave it.

  12. Whilst replying to the Wrestling Books thread I thought of this question, something I'm not entirely sure about...

Whats the story behind the relationship between WWE (Capitol Wrestling/WWWF) and Madison Square Garden in the very early days of both. I read some where that MSG was put on the map because of WWE and it was extended or rebuilt in order to facilitate the growing wrestling attendances. Its pretty remarkable that arguably the most famous in the area in the world is standing today because of WWE, if that is the case. I know that MSG officials would turn down big stars like Elvis and Sinatra from performing their when WWE was in town and that Sinatra got the mafia involved or something to that effect...any truth to this?

  13. Im not sure how to add images so heres the Amazon link...

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Capitol-Revolution-McMahon-Wrestling-Empire/dp/1770411240/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1413889538&sr=1-1&keywords=capitol+revolution

This looks like it could be an interesting read, I've watched the History of WWE documentary which I found really fasinating but to read about the rise of WWE from its days as Capitol Wrestling will hopefully give a different perspective, espessially as its being wrote by an outside party.

I hope it goes into Black Saturday in depth because I've read bits and pieces about this (including the interesting wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Saturday_(wrestling) and im hoping its talks about the working relationship between Vince Snr and Vince Jnr, again I know bits but it would be interesting to read more about how their working relationship went alongside their father/son relationship. I've always had the feeling that Vince Snr relucatantly sold to his son and I'd like to know more about that if true.

  14. Terry Funks book is well worth reading, I highly recommend it. He's had obviously a rich and varied carried that's spanned many decades, countries and promotions.

He gives great insights into the territories, Japan, ECW, WCW and WWE. His stories are funny, in depth and well taught which makes the book easy to read.

If you believe Terry however he'd have you believe that Amarillo territory and his father invented everything in wrestling. He talks about his cousin Billy Bob Thornton but if I remember right he tells to different explanations to how he is related to him which is confusing.

On a side note I read yesterday that Bob Backlunds book has had its release day pushed back to October, I'm looking forward to reading his book and can't wait to get it. There's been no good autobiographies released lately.

  15. Those are my feelings based on my experiences, obviously this was the wrong place to vent my feelings. One thing I'm certainly not is incompetent also. You don't know me so to ridicule me is totally un justified. Just because my opinions on wrestling don't match yours doesn't make my opinions wrong. I knew Spud for a number of years so my thoughts and opinions are justified, perhaps I should have kept them to myself.

  16. Iv just read a interview with Rockstar Spud regarding his feelings working in TNA and my god he comes across like such a egotist and totally full of himself, he refers to Rockstar Spud in the 2nd person and boasts about how great he is in the role he plays on TV.

This only backs up my feelings towards him after working with him in the past on a couple of occasions, I found him to be an arrogant big headed prick then who acts like his shit don't stink. Obviously he suffers from small man syndrome. Im a fan of TNA and think there product is a nice alternative to WWE in some ways and I want to see them get a TV deal and continue for as long as possible but a part of me would love to see TNA fold so Spud is forced to come back to the UK with his tail between his legs.

You know how he got the name Spud because it took him years to learn how to throw a punch and not deliver a potato to his opponent...no wonder they don't let him wrestle, maybe he still can't throw a work punch. Potato i.e. Spud.

  17. One thing about Glen Jacobs is that you never hear any issues or scandals with him backstage, I get they impression he's probably very easy to work with and rarely questions the office regarding how he is booked. He's appeared to keep his head down and nose clean during his run and is probably a reliable and model employee who is very much a locker room leader these days. He's obviously trusted and respected because he is often given pushes and has never fallen lower than the mid-card I don't believe.

Iv never been a big fan of his work but you can't deny that he is consistent and has reached the point certainly to me were he automatically receives respect because of his tenure with WWE and his body of work during his run.

  18. What's the reason for the hate of George Steele? I'm sure iv only heard and read nice things about him, reading Freddie Blassie book he only had good things to say about Steele. I know he only worked the summer months and would work as a teacher during his off time from wrestling.

  19. I don't watch any WWE programming except for WrestleMania on a Tuesday I watch the highlights of Raw on WWE.com. Sorry that I'm bashing your precious WWE, I find my statements to be my honest opinions, but alas with ratings, live event numbers and buyrates on the drop and WWE loosing a fortune...I'm not the only one obviously switching off.

  20. Sorry for having an opinion but it doesn't say much for the WWE Superstars when the most entertaining segment on the show was Stephanie and Brie Bella. Fueds are so boring these days interrupting matches and beat downs it's like WWE are getting there ideas from WWE Games. There's nothing original anymore. It's all very by the predictable. Gone are the days when WWE had me hooked...suppose I'm 27 now and not a kid anymore and we all have to grow up. I'll stick to watching 80s 90s and early 2000s wrestling.

  21. Not really interested in Cena/Lesnar, seen it before not interested in seeing it again, I can't see it offering anything greatly different from their previous match eespecially if Cena is involved.

You can see a mile away Nikki costing Brie her match against Stephanie, I read that WWE have been considering turning her heel so that ruins that. Be interesting to see how it goes down however.

Orton has grown tiresome lately and seems to be just coasting through. His act is stale and Reigns doesn't have the star power to make the match interesting, I can imagine the match coming off as something you would see on Raw.

Jericho is the new Christian they seem to wheel him out during desperation times and like Orton he's stale and bland. His match with Wyatt will be by the numbers and run of the mill.
