  1. Kurt must like his women like he likes his coffee hot strong and black.

Such a let down, I never watch Raw live even though I have Sky Sports but I was half tempted to stay up and watch it but I had they awful feeling it wouldn't be worth it and I was right so stuck to watching the highlights on Youtube this morning. WWE could have made international news with a huge blockbuster reveal like Ronda Rousey being his daughter or he is the son of Donald Trunp or he was the master mind behind 9/11 (okay maybe a bit to far) but instead we got Coronation Street/Jeremy Kyle.

Vince must have forgot his favourite saying ANYTHING can happen in the WWE...except for something interesting. Why couldn't it have been Shelton Benjamin at the very least?

What excitement blockbuster entertainment can we get from the BIG reveal lastnight? Jordan will get a push which may or may not work all the while Angle attempts Oscar winning performances throughtout. He returned for this shit? Crying in the ring. One of the greatest of all time? Perhaps the most egarly anticipated returns in WWE history and they gave this as a storyline?

Why should I now care about Jason Jordon? Why should I now invest my vital sleep time to be fresh for work in the morning to instead stay up during the night to watch Jason Jordon pretend to be Kurt Angle son? Hasn't he been loosing on Main Event and walking in the wilderness for months. The only reason they picked him over his tat partner what ever his name is, is because he is black and they want to reach out to the black demographic just like they need Rey or Alberto for the Hispanic.

WWE have the money and resources to really shake the world of pro wrestling and make landmark moments in history that could spear them to international news levels that bring back and bring in new fans with explosive storylines and cliff hanger endings to Raw each week and make Raw must see TV instead we get th sames matches each week i.e. Rollins/Wyatt and Balor against the other guy I can't remember his name with very little story development it's all so bloody lazy. Oh well I was so close to adding 1 more to their ratings but they let me down, YouTube it continues to be.

I'm mean they can't even keep Brock invested enough to hang about long enough to do something that has actual depth and interest to him. Shelton Benjamin and Alberto and CM Punk, Stone Cold anybody who has ever had anything to do without WWE in the past aren't exactly in a rush to return because they know it's shite. I'm sure if WWE were breaking ratings records and were the hottest form of entertainment on the planet they would have top names begging to return not that it would solve their problems and it's of great importantance but if they want nothing to do with WWE then why should we?

  2. Any chance of Triple Threat match at Summerslam between Joe Lesnar and Reigns. There doesn't seem a lot for Joe to do at the minute and I'm not sure how long it is until Summerslam but have they got time to build another storyline for him. He seems pretty woven in to what ever Brock will be doing between now and Summerslam after the angle last night plus it will give Reigns and Joe something to do whilst Lesnar is away how else would they build the a singles match betweenness Reigns/Lesnar without Lesnar. Having Joe fued with Reigns allows them to build a story for the match whilst Lesnar is away.

It makes you wonder what part Braun Strowman will play as well I can't see them moving Reigns in to a programme with Lesnar without tying up the loose end with Strowman unless what happened at the PPV was an attempt to make Reigns look strong going in to his thing with Lesnar and Strowman will simply go away and lick his wounds before moving on to a fued with somebody else.

  3. I struggled with the series but was ultimately pretty entertained by it, it's refreshing to see a TV series portraying wrestling in a fairly positive manner. I read interviews with some of they actresses before watching and they all seemed to really appreciate and have a new found understanding of how tough wrestling is and it's history. They were taught wrestling history which I'm pleased about as I'm sure it inspired them to give more realistic performances and not just ham it up in a stereotypical way as I really expected them to do before viewing.

My issues with the series though is that it struggled to find its genre and was light on drama, comedy and action. I think they could have turned the volume up on one of all of those to give the show a better direction and more bite. I'd like to have seen a darker side with more in the way of emotion and overall depth it seemed to skim by quite nicely without any real shocks or character development. I found myself forgetting the characters names and backstory by the 2nd episode hopefully if a second series comes along they will be able to flesh out the characters a bit more and give me a reason to care about them.

  4. Not long got out of bed and made a cuppa watching reruns of international Gladiators on Challenge TV and discovered after many times watching the same reruns and the show for many years that the American presenter alongside Ulrika Johnson is Mike Adamle....the former Raw General Manager. Never realised this before.

  5. 7 minutes ago, BomberPat said:

Absolutely. I keep saying it, but UFC has taught people that you don't need to be a musclebound 6'6" freak to win a fight - someone who looks like Joe, booked well, comes across as far more of a threat now than he ever would have done 10-15 years ago.

They need to keep making him look strong, keep having him carry himself and cut promos in such a way that sound more like a legitimate fighter than a pro-wrestler, and present him as at least being in with a chance against Lesnar, and people will buy it. Brock Lesnar is taken seriously to such an extent that even the smarkiest of fans, and the "you know it's all fake, right?"-iest of fans' Dads immediately see a wrestler as more credible if they can hold their own against Lesnar, even in a worked match. He's the epitome of the old Johnny Valentine adage; "I might not be able to convince you wrestling's real, but I sure as hell can convince you that I am". Letting even some of that rub off on Joe would be great.

The use of the Johnny Valentine quote is awesome, props to you for using that rare classic quote. It's one of my favourite things a wrestler has ever said.

  6. Why doesnt Naomi deserve it? Hasnt she been around for like 10 or more years, come through injurys and worked just as hard as they other female talent on the roster? Unlike many others past and present who were pushed from the begining and straight in to a title run, Naomi has made the best of what WWE has thrown at her learnt her craft and improved significantly over the years.

Were not stupid enough to know as fans that its always the best wrestler that wins the title. Its clear WWE have looked down the list of their female Smackdown roster and thought for all her hardwork and dedication over the years we will give her the title as a thank you and pat on the back. Its actually refreshing to see WWE give the title to somebody outside the usual women. She deserves it as much and if not more so than anybody else i.e. Alexa Bliss whos been around 5 minutes and good luck to her I say.

  7. The long awaited book from Jim Ross is now available to pre order on Amazon. If there was ever a wrestling personality autobiography that NEEDED to be released you could argue it would be Vince McMahon and Jim Ross, while a Vince autobiography isn't outside the relms of possibilty one day a Jim Ross release to me was a certainty, it was long rumoured that a book was on its way and now come October 3rd the wait is over.

With a career spanning 40 plus years, many promotions, roles within the business and front line for many historic, revolutionary and controversial moments in wrestling Jim Ross I have no doubt has an incredible story to tell and it could not have come at a better time. Ross in some ways is in the twilight years of his career with no real ties to any promotion so he has free reign on putting his TRUE story down on paper without having to worry who he pisses off or what bridges to burn. I'm confident given JR's vast knowledge, speaking ability and verbal story telling that this book will be a one for the ages and cemment itself at the top of must read pro-wrestling autobiographies.

Also available to pre order with a release date of 25th July is Second Nature: the Legacy of Ric Flair and the Rise of Charlotte.

Im not going to rush to buy this one, I feel through his prior autobiography and DVD releases theres not much else to really know about the career or Ric Flair the man. I can imagine given the title of the book the crux of the book will talk about how Charlotte got herself in to the wrestling business and for me that is a tale that fails to interest me. She has not been around long enough to have a interesting story to tell as far as her wrestling career is concerned but with that said I would be fasinated to read about her life as a child growing up with Ric Flair as her dad and what effect that had on her family life. Ric was known for his wild lifestyle at his peak, constant travel and women I can imagine. Id be curious to see what effect that on Charlotte (Ashley) growing up and her family. It has been well documented that Ric has had some personal problems i.e. his failed relationships, finacial and brushes with the law so it will be interesting to see if those events are laid out and if so to what expect.

  8. Yeah I have and I recommend it but I did have some issues such as Pat seems to gloss over alot of periods in his life the main one being his time in WWE. He still offers the reader some interesting stories but doesnt divulge much in the way of anything like who he really liked and dislked or his issues with certain people or the company itself. Its almost like Pat didnt want to piss anybody in WWE because of his close connection to the company to this day. He speaks openly and honestly about his sexuality which is inspring and the most enjoyable part of the book. If your looking for interesting tales from a man who spanned many generations in pro wrestling then this books is perfect for you but if your looking for bitching and name bashing then perhaps not.

  9. Thats a good point maybe theres more to her 2nd violation than meets the eye. Perhaps shes not being rebellious or just stupid maybe she has an actual issue in its early days. You would think that if she cared enough about her job and WWE stated the first time around or that its simply common knowledge in the locker room which pain killers to avoid...you would do just that and seek a legal way of dealing with your injury.

It wouldnt suprise me if Paige was deep down looking to be released. Shes had issues with WWE in the past and it may appear to her for various reasons the writting is on the wall regarding her time in WWE...her boyfriend is no longer signed to WWE which means that due to there travel differences she wont get to see him, the influx of new women in the WWE from NXT and more coming in thick and fast through the performance centre has got to be playing on her mind and make her think she will be relegated to a lower spot on the card (Layla anyone?). She is obviously dealing with injury issues which is holding her back...as i say theres probably more to this than meets they eye. Im sure Paige has a pretty penny in her back pocket along with her sugar daddy Del Rios money...does she really need WWE because im sure she is aware WWE doesnt really need her and i think she knows that.

  10. She should use or go down the same route as Nikki Bella with it being a neck injury as she had no issues with the wellness policy. Unless that is what Paige means by 'rules apply depending on your status'

Im sure she could have found alternative therapy for her injury that would not have caused this to happen but it appears to me that she is being rebellious and is perhaps looking to create an issue that is on the whole un necessary.

  11. Or maybe its because Battleground is a fairly new event and the ratings weren't so great for it last time (i may be wrong about that) and with Summerslam practically guaranteed high ratings they thought they would add the Triple Threat to Battleground to improve on its ratings and make the show feel like a big deal going forward.

  12. I agree that the Capital Revolution is a very good and interesting read. Its very revealing, in-depth and what I found especially good is that it fills in holes and explains more in detail events that took place at that time. It is an easy read and it never feels heavy or to bogged down, the writer rarely sidetracks in to different events or stories whilst in the middle of telling another one which I find frustrating in any book I read.

I'm looking forward to the release of Pat Patterson book, that should be a very interesting read considering his lengthy career in various different territories.

  13. Because what the fuck has he done to warrant being there? At least Sin Cara has been on TV, Ryder has been sitting with his head in his hands because he has to carry Mojo Rawley to something that he hopes doesn't resemble the drizzling shits.

He's only getting it because Neville buggered his leg up. If that hadn't happened, the absolute best he was getting was a spot on the pre-show Battle Royale. Hopefully Lesnar takes him out with Awesome Destruction on the go-home RAW

But, isn't it creative/script writers who are to blame that Ryder "Ryder has been sitting with his head in his hands because he has to carry Mojo Rawley to something that he hopes doesn't resemble the drizzling shits" What harm is it making to anyone or anything that Zack Ryder is on this years WrestleMania card? they addition of Ryder isn't going to ruin the ladder match its not like he's a terrible wrestler who you could say then arguably say is un-deserving or because he is reported to have a bad attitude backstage and is always causing problems on social media etc or what ever. Zack Ryder is a pretty darn good wrestler who appears to work hard and takes on what ever role WWE throws at him. I'd of preferred Ryder to have gotten a spot on the card through different circumstances and not because of injury to a first choice wrestler but what difference does it make?

I can't remember the last time I watched a full Zack Ryder match or if I have ever watched a one all the way through to be honest but from what I have seen he seems to be un-justifiably under-used and I can imagine that after his WrestleMania appearance he will go back to his current role now...but no harm...no foul. Good luck to Ryder after his years of service to WWE he deserves it!

  14. Why is there so much hate for Zack Ryder and why isn't he deserving of a spot on the WrestleMania card? its not like he's main-eventing or causing any offense by being in a match he will clearly not win and even if he does win...what would be the problem? its wrestling and I'm sure given the IC title he'd be as just as entertaining as anybody else in that position (or it might just because I don't care who is and isn't champion these days) He's a very decent wrestler and I can't say for certain but he always seemed pretty over to me. I'm sure he works just as hard as everybody else in WWE and has just as much passion and strong work ethic as everybody else...so why isn't he deserving of a spot at WrestleMania? I say good luck to him and its nice to see WWE putting their faith in talents who as of late haven't had a great deal of TV time. It probably won't happen but I'd love for Zack Ryder to be the stand-out wrestler in the Ladder Match, he has the talent and ability I'm sure for it to be a possibility. I'd rather see somebody deserving of a spot in the match who has shown determination and dedication to WWE when WWE haven't really thrown much in the way of a push or TV time in his direction over his run, than somebody like Austin Aries or Samoa Joe.

Its the same as the Divas...why shouldn't WrestleMania have 2 Diva matches? They deserve a spot on the card just as much as anybody.
