  1. It was smart if Sonya not to engage physically with him but I'm pretty confident that with her self defence training it at least wouldn't have been easy to attack her, do you doubt that Sonya couldn't have disarmed him? if it was Ronda would it have been any different because I'm pretty sure if you come at Ronda with a knife she is going to take you down before you even take a swing with it.

Mandy Rose was in the house also. It's come out that the man had sent a text saying he was going to kill her.

  2. I mean why would you attempt to kidnap Sonya Deville? Crazed fan maybe?

Sonya is legit bad ass with MMA background, makes you wonder if the the guy had attempted something if Sonya would have been able to beat the shit out of him and stick his head up his ass. That would have been fun to read about. The guy got away lucky that didn't happen.

  3. Worst thing i have watched in life. Worse than any mid afternoon channel 5 movie. I couldn't wait for it to end and only watched out of sheer curiosity. Terrible acting, fake as shit. Daniel Bryan flinching before AJ hit him was dire! Everyone looked stupid just plain embarrassing. Not even entertaining in the slightest. Were supposed to believe that these are top athletes and sports men and a real danager to eachother yet they looked like comedic fools.

  4. Years ago I wrote a post that got slated and critised, I would love to be able to find it but I said then that WWE can't continue to rely on rolling out the likes of Goldberg, Undertaker and I mentioned others at the time I think like Triple H and the Rock to boost their rantings or ticket sales. Here we are in 2020 when I'm guessing I wrote the post in like 2014 2015 and the UKFF diehards criticised it but I hate to say I told you so but I told you so.

WWE clutching at straws to move tickets for WrestleMania which I read some were aren't moving to fast at the moment, throwing the big guns on to the card because they have very little faith in their young roster to carry the ball on their own but it's going to have to happen someday cause the likes of Goldberg and Taker aren't going to be around for ever.

  5. The two women's matches were sloppy and badly put together.

The traditional women's match played out like I thought with some of the NXT women getting upset pins on they established WWE women without hurting them in the least bit but giving a rub the upcoming women.

For me it's really apparent that the NXT girls have alot more athleticism and work a more indie style, fast and daring pace than they established WWE women. It's a shame that there wasn't more depth this match as more high spots but it felt very traditional slower paced typical Women's match than it did a NXT match and the NXT women didn't get a whole lot of opportunities to show out like they did the previous night at Takeover.

I wonder if it's the case that when NXT wrestlers are called up they are told to work a more traditional WWE style than compared to what they are used to in NXT possibly because they are working with more slow paced veterans maybe or the agents and producers in WWE want and expect a different approach to their work than the agents and producers in NXT. There's a obvious in ring difference between WWE and NXT and it's a shame if it's the case that when workers make the switch they have to tone down there stuff. Maybe that's why Finn Balor is back in NXT as he can be more creative in NXT.

I thought the matches were very repetitive lastnight as well with very little making each one stand out from the crowd. Same moves and high spots etc like diving through the ropes only to be stopped by a kick or a kick from the outside to someone inside the ring and my god the amount of super kicks and general kicks is ridiculous. Its all become very obvious to were you can call what's going to happen before it even happens.

Brock and Rey was to be expected, what I found funny was when Brock stepped on the 'steel' pipe in squashed a bit like a cardboard toilet roll lol

  6. What really bothered me was you could see clearly Bray was protecting himself by moving the stuff on top of him to less-in the impact and cushion the blow he even pushed the ladder up with his hands so it was off his face. Just makes it look fake.

It's like when someone goes for a Irish whip and they give their hand to the person doing it. Why would you allow someone to throw you by giving them your hand? It's the little things they don't think about that bugs me.

They tried for a Halloween/Michael Myers type finish throw everything at them and they still manage to get back up but for me it's still just Bray Wyatt in a mask. There's no mystery to the gimmick. Is there room in wrestling for the cartoon gimmicks still? Clearly not.

  7. WWE and wrestling in general has hit it's peak, there's nothing left that can done to create a another boom period. Wrestling fans have seen it all and it's a case of ok now what?

With the rise of high octane indies and matches that throw everything in to a average 20 minute match, there's nothing left up the magicians sleeve. It's all be catered for over the years from death match wrestling to gymnastic style wrestling, from headlocks to 450's from Shockmasters to a guy in tights.

Fans are to smart and the curtain has been pulled so far back there's no suspension of belief or disbelief anymore, WRESTLING has become just hmmm wrestling okay

What WWE is offering is about the best it can get, there's no were else to go so you either become a fan who politely applauds something you have likely seen and will continue to see a 1000 times or you walk away with your memories and looking at the ratings and attendences I think wrestling has seen its last standing ovation.

  8. My issue with WWE is that there booking is lazy and every match is like a indie spot fest which is tiresome and repetitive. Strip away the multi million pound production and most of the matches on Raw and Smackdown wouldn't be to dis-similar to what you see on Impact or ROH and personally I find straight up wrestling matches pretty boring especially when you have seen the matches a million times before with the same spots.

WWE need to take a big massive step out of there comfort zone and for me bring back Hell in a Cell, TLC, Steel Cage heck even Elmination Chamber matches as the main events on Raw and Smackdown like they did during the Attitude Era. I don't watch WWE to watch wrestling I watch WWE for entertainment and a straight up one on one match just doesn't do it for me anymore.

I mean you don't always just play a singles match on WWE 2k19 do you? Cause it's boring you liven it up with a stipulation.

WWE is like forcing adults to watch Power Rangers it's to kid friendly and i know WWE is heavily in to the make-a-wish and anti bullying campaigns etc but it's just all very to PC and bland and restrictive. WWE writers must feel like they are writing the programming with one hand tied behind there back.

Why is everyone doing a superkick and dive through the ropes? I find that really annoying as well just to add.

WWE has become just another indie promotion when it boils down to it.

  9. I'm being billed each month for having the network even though in the billing information section it states you are currently not subscribed to the WWE Network and even thought it states that I am able to watch content on they app.

Any ideas how I can cancel my payment?

It is automatically logging me in to this un-subscribed account and I can't figutre out how to log out also.

  10. That a fair if she has only signed a year long contract but I have no clue if that's the case if Ronda is wanting to stick around for 5-10 years then WWE can't sustain her current act for that long a period without brushing up her basic skills. You said Ronda is like Goldberg. I see her more like Dennis Rodman, a celebrity who is dipping their toe in to the world of wrestling, get in get out and make as much money as you can in the process which I hope isn't the case especially when you know Ronda has has always been a wrestling fan and has great respect for the business.

The question is does Ronda want more than what she a been given or is she happy with the 5minute spots she's being given? I'd of hoped that being a life long wrestling fan and having respect for the business she would have wanted more for herself than what is currently being presented. If she's happy playing the role of a celebrity in wrestling then good for her but as I say I see more potential in her if she was or is willing to go back to basics and get a better understanding of what it takes to be a wrestler

  11. Ronda needs to slow down in the ring her judo throws are impressive but a bit predictable. She still looks a little lost and all over the place even when she's standing still, like she's over thinking in the ring.

For those who are saying that she needed to dominate Alicia in her match, which is what happened need to remember the longer her matches go the more she will learn. These 5 minute matches even on house shows are doing her no benefit in the long run. It's wrestling at the end of the day and she needs to learn the fundamentals so even if they stretched reality and had Alicia dominate for a longer period would have given the opportunity for Ronda to work on her fundamentals like selling and bumping her act is going to become stale soon enough if it continues they way it is because her judo stuff will only get her so far in my opinion. On the job training and longer matches are the way forward at least it would give her something substantial to look back on to watch and learn from. At the minute she's a circus act they are rolling out to pop the fans which is a shame because you can see a greater potential in her.

If anything her current run to date is doing her a dis-service she's a world class athlete and deserves more than being a 5 minute side show to pop the crowd but I can understand why in this is the case because she hasn't got the skill set both in ring and in promos just yet for anything more than that. To much to soon for me and I think a lot more time spent at the Performance Centre instead of pulling the trigger on her debut as quick as they did was a bad decision perhaps not for an initial boost to ratings but in the long run as far a sustainability and substance as a wrestler and her overall sports entertainment presentation.

  12. Maybe WWE don't have enough faith in their Creative team to keep Ronda from going to stale if they kept her on TV each week or maybe they don't have enough faith in Ronda or she has no longevity. If Lady GaGa signed up to be in Eastenders do you think they would take her off TV after a week in case she gets stale...when Hogan debut for WCW do you think Bischoff thought let's take him off TV in case he goes stale. Imagine Ronda is the best England football player and it's the World Cup do you think the manager is going to keep her on the bench or just for special occasions?

Keep her on TV...WWE wonder why their weekly ratings are in the toilet and you fans agree to take her off TV to stop her going stale. Have faith in the WWE Creative team I mean they haven't done anything wrong lately have they? It's not like they are going to fuck up getting a sure fire ratings winner like Ronda Rousey wrong are they? Have faith.

  13. Can you imagine peak off the attitude era right in the middle of the McMahon/Austin fued somebody has the bright idea to take him off TV....in case he goes stale.

I'd have far more respect for Ronda and WWE if they let the novelty die down and had her build organically working with solid hands week in week out earning her spot. Be a thrill to watch her grow as a wrestler. I don't care that she is Ronda Rousey UFC superstar. It was fun at first but now her awkward promos and sloppy matches and terrible booking as killed that for me as they have already burned her out. A nice organic build would have kept me behind her, her slow rise up the ranks, getting better and better as the weeks went by would have made it all that more special when she finally peaked. They rushed her debut, 6months at the performance centre would have done the trick instead of 6 weeks. I know they had lighting in bottle and wanted to strike fast but so far it's just showcased her weakness and done her no favours.

I mean was that supposed to be a Powerbomb to Alexa through the table? Good job Alexa is a decent worker and had were with all to keep her upper body ridget and take the bump on her upper back had that been a less experienced worker and she didn't her upper body ridget could have been a nasty ladding anybody seen the footage of Vader not protecting that jobber in the early 90s with the Powerbomb and he broke his back could have been a sequel on Raw this week.

    The fuck?

For me id rather her be on TV each week as its a reason for me to watch the highlights on youtube. I can't understand you pay all this money to sign someone and then you keep her off TV and house shows etc. If she is such a big star you wouldn't have to worry about her going stale. Stone Cold at the peak of his run wasn't kept off TV he was the reason people watched. I would watch Raw if Ronda was on every week but id get bored and past caring trying to keep up with her part time schedule wouldn't be worth the effort.

  15. She's sloppy in the ring the matches look pieced together step by step especially her Mania match were it was clear Triple H was guiding her every step of the way she can wrestle and do moves but so can my 9 year old brother, she can't work there a difference, especially without a solid hand to guide her. It would of been better to put her with Natalya or even Mickie James early on before throwing her in the deep end. If she is going to be indeed around for the long haul she's needs to tighten up her pro wrestling skills because once the star power has faded and the novelty has worn off her weakness are going to clear enough to see. She can't even bump right or run the ropes i cringe when I see her using two arms to lean in to the ropes.

I have no doubt Ronda is a fast learner and she will become a solid worker but that will only happen with hands on experience and working with decent hands to show her the way. Keep her as a special attraction for now fair enough but it will become boring after a while so best she falls in line now before the star power fades.

Brock is different he was a wrestler first with a wrestling legacy his build was natural and organic for as much as he doesn't give 2 shits these days unless the money or the town is right he's earned his star power just as much as the Rock or Stone Cold. Ronda is a UFC superstar who so far has been as stiff as a board in promos and gotten over because of her star power had any other female with zero credibility or star power worked that match Nia she would have laughed out the building just because she is Ronda Rousey that doesn't automatically make her a great.

  16. Not sure I agree with keeping Ronda off TV like Brock. If she's signed a full time deal/schedule then why shouldn't she be on TV each week. If she wants to be a wrestler then why not commit fully. Not sure if it's the case she has outside projects like movies etc keeping her away but even so she signed with WWE so WWE should be her main focus.

She's not going to learn the ropes literally being away weeks at a time. How can you build storylines etc if she's not around? I know she's Ronda Rousey but for me the star power has faded slightly  so stand in line and work on your pro wrestling and take every opportunity to be in the ring and on TV if she's not going to fully commit then why be there? I respect and admire her UFC legacy and it was a novilety her signing with WWE but lets move on from that, shes signed so lets get on with her wrestling. I can perhaps understand her being treat as a special attraction at first but not forever. It will do her no favours in regards to learning her trade and backstage favour with the other women on the roster. Id be pissed not to see her at a house show or at a taping. If your going to be a wrestler then be a wrestler not some celebrity who dips in and out when it suits your schedule.

  17. The build up for Nia/Rousey is terrible. I know Kayfabe is dead but how do WWE expect us to buy in to Nia being a monster dominant force in the womens division when she is portrayed on Total Divas as a soft spoken genuinely nice person or that she was just last week posing for photos with Ronda on the red carpet like best friends. Unlike Awesome Kong, Nia comes across as big and cuddly. Even her facial expressions during the contract signing ranged from looking confused to looking as dumb as a box of rocks.

I'm sure the booking behind this match is to show of Rondas strength against a larger opponent, no doubt she will throw Nia around like a rag doll. While I can't determine who will win I can't see this match doing any favours for Nia in the end. I see a screwy finish were Nia keeps the belt.

  18. Probably one of the rarest and most expensive books to get a hold of. There was a copy on eBay about 2 months ago for over £100 haven't seen once since.

It's like the holy grail of wrestling books, it's been given awesome reviews, definely a one id like to read.

Depending on how much you are looking to spend on a copy there's this for over £500

  19. ICould it not be the case that WWE have become complacent over the years and instead of working really hard and going all out on providing actual must see tv with gripping storylines they instead maybe without realising are taking fans for granted expecting that Wrestlemania will do well in all aspects without putting in to much effort.

Wrestlemania is continuing to break records and the company as a whole is doing very well from what I can tell so there appears to be nothing breathing down their necks and pushing them to provide more and do generally more.

I don't watch a lot of WWE programming and I have never had the network or anything but I watch the Raw highlights on YouTube and for me the whole show seems to be repackaged and on a cycle. Whats happening with Roman and Brock seems a rehassed versions of the fued between Cena and The Rock with Roman questioning Brocks passion and part time schedule. Creatively it all seems very stale, I'm not sure who writes for WWE these days but there's no long term direction or depth to their storylines and probably no wrestlers questioning their creative options and pushing for something else. I can imagine WWE wrestlers are like Pay me and I'll say and do anything which doesn't help the cause that fans are wanting more. Gone are the days of Kevin Nash and CM Punk and others who would hold the office to random and push for for more and better storylines. Brock doesn't care what Roman has been told to say and probably doesn't care if he wins or looses as long as he gets paid, Roman should be pushing creative for more as should the rest of the roster who are just stream lining from week to week.

Could WWE be looking at the Indies to much and take from them that its really about the wrestling and not so much about the storylines? And in turn they are taking a page out of there book and trying to focus more on the in ring action than the outside meaning and story. NXT has a big time indie supershow feel about it with little in the way of storyline but explosive in ring action. WWE are clearly looking at the Indies with their involvement in the UK as of late and other US indie promotions and its stemming from Triple H gaining more control has he ever been a fan of heavy storyline based wrestling? WWE shouldn't try to be anything than what WWE has always been about and I know times change and WWE is trying to evolve and change with the times but if you want indie wrestling then watch the Indies but it should be the case if you want to be a traditionalist wrestling fan and want the type of wrestling that us older fans miss the type of wrestling that you would argue with your friends is good and then when you watched saw somebody being buried alive or thrown off a bridge or old ladies being power bombed through tables and being proud that you were one of the few who understood the secret as to why wrestling is so great and it didn't matter that your friends thought that grown men in underwear were pretending to fight because you knew why it was so great and that was because WWE was different to anything else on TV probably because of all the wrong reasons but to wrestling fans all the right reasons. I don't want WWE to become like the Indies with better production values. I don't like change and I want my childhood WWE back!

  20. Anybody read the Brutus Beefcake book?

Really considering getting this as I'm sure he has an interesting story to tell as he been around forever, well travelled and was around for some key times in wrestling be interesting to hear his opinions and thoughts.

For some reason I'm drawn to getting Through the Shattered Glass by Jeanie Clark she didn't have the longest career but be interesting to hear the female perspective of life in wrestling and of course her with Steve Austin. Id rather read this than the Sunny book got no desire to read that one. Always wished Sherri Martel released a book before she passed that would have been pretty great I could imagine.

  21. Well I don't know how old Shelton Benjamin is I'm not Jim Ross but come on really? Why should I care about Jason Jordon when for the past how ever long WWE clearly haven't. It's lazy booking plane and simple.

WWE have lost touch with reality and taking its fans for idiots. Karen Jarrett must be laughing her fake tits off right now, again I can't tell you how long they were married but she must be loving that Kurt snuck away to double dip some black beauty. I'd be invested if WWE teamed up with TNA/Impact/GFW/GFW Impact/GFW TNA Impact or what ever they are calling themselves now and brought in Karen Jarrett and Jeff now that would raise my interest.

Jeff could release the Broken gimmick to the Hardys in return for WWE throwing their what ever they are called promotion some attention on a bigger level. Jeff is a smart business man, Dixie is in with WWE at the minute if she has to have say In what TNA does and let's have a cross promotion thing going for a while and sit Karen down with Kurt and Jeremy Kyle to hash this out is Moma Benjamin still alive or Sapphire they could now play Moma Jordon and fight it out with Karen Jarrett while Steve the security card breaks it up and then gets a push for the US title as that's not doing much these days.

    Bring back Russo!
