Goldberg and John Cena made me investigate the YouTube clips this week and it was cool to see some star power return.
It led me to watching the Charlotte Flair Rhea Ripley fued. Holy shit these two are fucking INCREDIBLE wrestlers. They look like stars, they talk like stars and holy fuck they know how to work and sell in the ring!
Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley must be the biggest drawing new talent these days by an absolute fucking mile. I would pay to watch them.

I despise the current day product, but that fat cunt who jumped the rail at the AEW show needs fucking put down. There are more important things in the world to get angry about than getting physical over a putrid wrestling show. Wrestling being in the toilet is no excuse to act like a maniac.

I'm surprised so many feel psychology in wrestling is such a myth or misunderstood by the masses.
It means the same in wrestling as it does in any other walk of life and is executed brilliantly in all the highest drawing box office feuds, main events, PPVs and eras since the dawn of time and been devoid in less popular down times.
You can't have high drawing box office events without the participants displaying great psychology and telling a story that makes sense. It's hardly ever about working a body part. It's more about physical and verbal interactions that make fucking sense and aren't fucking random and stupid.

Yeah Orndorff's son criticised his mother (Orndorff's wife) for abandoning him and said he only has weeks to live. 😔

You can tell when Jake Roberts is lying, his lips move.
I thought Warrior's ex-wife came across very well in the Dark Side doc. Very authentic.
Neither doc addressed the male prostitute rumours that made the National Enquirer, wonder if that means the rumours are just bullshit with zero credibility or whether they were protecting Warriors girls from embarrassment?

Pretty shite episode, hilarious listening to Jake making up stories about how he was going to hit Warrior with a loaded fist at Mania weekend 😂

Anyone know where can I download this?

Anyone know anywhere the Ultimate Warrior A&E documentary can be streamed in the UK?
-
Does anyone know where the clip of Bubba Rodgers/Ray Traylor in his Guardian Angel gimmick in WCW where he says "that referee right there weren't even supposes to be in the reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeng!" It was a WreatleCrap.com favourite back in the day but all trace of it now appears to be gone from the Internet:(

Was gutted to learn this yesterday.
He was one of my favourite shoot interview wrestlers. Incredibly entertaining always.
One of the best and most believable promos in the history of the business.
Rest in peace Jerome Young.

"Plane ride from Hell" episode should be quality. Absolute drug and drink induced chaos.
-
I imagine they'll avoid those male prostitute rumours from Warriors pre-wrestling days, but there's a tonne of other interesting stuff in Jim Hellwigs short life to cover.
-
Other than the odd YouTube clip I don't watch any new content these days.
My viewing is nostalgia driven and consists of podcasts, shoot interviews and documentaries.
I love learning about the territories and listening to old school guys talking about road stories and ring psychology.

My first exposure was watching a recording of WrestleMania 7 on a mate's VHS. Him and his brother told me some of the matches were fake but you could tell Hogan and Slaughter was real because of the blood etc.
Of course his parents kept saying it was all fake just to crush our beliefs as people love you do about pro wrestling.

Rico Constantino's flamboyant gimmick and athletic in-ring style from the 2000s in WWE would be booked on top in AEW present day.
The Hurricane gimmick would be massive in AEW present day. Great athletic performer with good charisma and a costume / mask which would be even more popular with AEWs fans and management.
-
All the light heavyweight job guys from the attitude era would be booked on top in AEW in the present day.
Taka Michinoku, Jerry Lynne, Essay Rios, Dean Malenko etc.

Diana looks really well. Oranges must be good for you.
🤦♂️🤣
When you consider the gravity of the allegations Diana made in her tell all book, it's kinda unthinkable she could be part of Davey's induction. I believe she pulled the book and said the ghost writer misled her.

The Road Warriors looked fucking awesome. The inverted haircuts, the face paint, the spikes, the black and red gear and the comic book roided physiques - bad ass.

For look however at the time he was firmly second to Big Van Vader in the monster stakes. That man gave kids nightmares.
Very true. Vader has a brilliant horror movie heel look. The mask seemed to deform his face and his stature was so imposing.
But I don't think we can be discussing great wrestler presentations and not mention the Macho Man Randy Savage. Larger than life, flamboyant, unhinged but somehow real. He was so creative in his look. The purple Macho Man t-shirt is probably the coolest ever t-shirt in the history of pop culture.

PS... not great at sticking pics on here, so tweets is all you get.
Yeah Mr Perfect, especially with the IC belt is top notch.
I actually think Yokozuna had an amazing look. The red / black / white variations on his ring gear was always on point and he looked imposing rather than out of shape.

One of the fascinating aspects of wrestling is how the wrestlers developed their 'look'.
Which wrestler had your favourite look of all time?
Mine is nWo Hollywood Hogan. The black stubble with the blond handlebar tasch, bandana, black and white nWo gear, ultra-tan and roided to the max. 👌

Just got butterflies thinking about that simulcast. Very exciting TV at the time.

Holy fuck, you learn something new every day!
