Nah, there's so much happening in the world that Icke wrote about in the 90's.

When I was in 6th form at school we went to a thing in London where they had various speakers who gave a speech and took question from the 6th formers present . On that day I heard Icke, John Major, John Smith, and Paddy Ashdown speak. Icke probably gave the best speech but was the least able to answer perfectly reasonable questions from the assembled youths. He didn't go full on lizard but he did talk a lot of shite, mainly about spoons as I remember. As Chili said Wogan rinsed him, we may not have done thst but we definitely gave him a thorough pre-wash at the very least.

I may like Rachel Stevens, but when it comes to politics I listen more to David Icke. He's been spot on about a lot of things.  We should have a thead called "All politicians are cunts"

  3. I've done a wooly lucky 15 on the last 4 races. Not each way because I'm not mental. Galopin de Champs, It's On The Line, Dinoblue and Quai de Bourbon all at relatively short prices. My round Robin on the first 3 is each way. Salver, Westport Cove, Lecky Watson.

Had a good day yesterday after a blank Wednesday. Golden Ace scooting in was a real bonus.

  4. I'm with you Pat on both the reckon part and the care part. I didn't know who the Marchioness of Chomondeley was nor did I care but having looked her up on Wikipedia and found that they don't say she has children, they say she has "Issue" which I assume is a toffs way of children, that the oldest issue is called Alexander Hugh George Cholmondeley, Earl of Rocksavage which is a marvellous title. We British don't half make up some mad shit to call the toffs.

What I have regained from all this coverage is the reiteration that William has punched well above his weight.

Harry and Meghan are a good match, as they're both good looking, but Kate is incredibly fit (I like them "horsey") and Wills isn't (he's a bit "actual horsey")

Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

Absolute horseshit Rashers. He's a Prince who one day in the not so distant future will be king. Every punch is below his weight. They just look on her as good breeding stock, in the same way they'd look at a horse.

It's a younger generation of Royals who don't solely interact with the outside world through press releases and Nicholas Witchell

The older generation don't like the wraith like presence of old Nicky W as I am sure no one ever calls him. Wasn't Charles picked up on microphone a few years ago calling him a ghastly man who follows me around asking stupid questions, which has the double delight of been both funny and true.

  7. I think there is fuck all to this but what's happening here is that the press haven't had the chance to hound a Princess of Wales to death this century and news directors and their underlings are getting positively tumescent at the thought of all the clicks and retweets they can get if something were to befall Kate. In the information age the statement that she's had an operation and she is resting has really riled them, especially Sky who would prefer to have 24 hour surveillance cameras inside all royal residence. So they are letting slip the dogs of war to see if they can buzz up a nice big juicy story to get their teeth into.

    That's where Kate is.

Slightly off topic, but I still think there should be a "drugs" Olympics just for those on juice.

Imagine seeing someone run the 100m in under 7 seconds.

There is, its called the Olympics. I love sport but they are all cheating in some way. From drugs to technological advancement they are all at it.

  9. I am probably wrong but this is my take on the trans women in sport argument.

Through the history of women's sport cheating has usually been defined as taking drugs to make you more like a man.  For example, the women's 400 metre world record was set in 1985 by Marita Koch, an athlete with many accusations and some evidence of steroid use. The second fastest time is Jarmila Kratochvilova set in 1983, again similar allegations. So consciously or unconsciously people who want to think in this way consider trans athletes as somehow cheating because they were men who are now women and the way to cheat as a woman is to be more like a man so trans athletes must be cheating. I hope I have explained that in a way thst makes sense.

Until we define drug cheats in women's sports better it will continue to be difficult to get past the wrong headed thinking that trans women are somehow at an advantage in sports.

I'd really looked forward to reading the Harry Potter books to my kids but her comments make me want to burn the books.

Many of her supporters are right behind you. Nothing beats a good old fashioned book burning to scorch away the evilness of trans.

I am of course joking, she should as suggested shut the fuck up. I don't think thst just applies to billionaires though, that applies to a lot of folks. People are not willing to admit that they don't know something these days. I am fully willing to admit I don't know enough about trans issues to comment. How could I as a middle aged (hopefully) white straight man from the shires know what dealing with trans issues is like. I try and learn enough to be respectful of people's rights but mostly I try and be as kind as I can. It's difficult and a lot of the time I don't succeed but I do try. The rest of the time I just shut the fuck up because people have enough going on without me making it worse.

  11. Ospreay's promos have surprised me. He has been much better than I thought, and while this might just be me it seems he is only a couple of bangs of chang away from a full on 1980s Randy Savage promo. I in no way mean that as an insult. Ospreay has brought a half shouty raspiness and slightly manic energy that has made him great viewing so far. L A Knight may be channelling the Attitude era but Will has gone back to the real masters of the craft, and I'm here for it.

I agree with you on Wardlow, for such a big man he hits about as hard as a Barbra Cartland novel. Mystifying.

  12. Tricky Nicky has pulled all his horses now Max. No Jonbon today, no Shishkin in the Gold Cup. He is saying that they can't find anything wrong but that there is obviously something the matter with them. None went a yard yesterday.

Correction. There are still a few running but like Max says, stay away from them for safety.

  13. My darts knowledge is reasonable but I don't really know Adam Smith-Neale. Is he normally a bellend as I see he has been suspended for punching an opponent who was trying to shake his hand at the end of the game.
