  1. First day of Cheltenham today. I like to get the trusty pin out and pick a horse in each race so I can spread my disappointment out over the whole afternoon. Just had a Win Lucky 15 and an EW Round Robin for small stakes.

L15 Slade Steel, Il Etait Temps, Lossiemouth, Embassy Gardens

RR. Run Wild Fred, Nemean Lion, Eagle Fang.

Good luck if you are having a go today, maybe @Max Power Has got a plot horse for one of the races this week.

Doesn't lemsip already have the equivalent of 2 paracetamol in it anyway?

Eating junk food, sleeping and excessively long hot showers are the only things that do it for me when I've got a cold.

I don't know about the lemsip\paracetamol ratio Chest, they let you buy lemsip on top of a couple of packets of paracetamol and they don't usually let you buy more than 2 of anything like that together.

If the second part of your cure worked for me I'd be cold free 24-7 365.

  3. I am currently 4 days in to a real stinker of a cold. My usual remedy of Lempsip Max Strength made with hot water, ginger, honey and brandy to wash down 2 paracetamol is not cutting through it at all. The headache, cough, and phlegm will not relent.

So does anyone else have a remedy they would like to share because I need something to break this bastard cold.

Fucks sake wrong forum. Could a mod do me a solid please

  4. As a man who hasn't needed to own a hairbrush or comb in any year that starts with a 2  I looked upon that questions as a chance to reminisce about past times

I’ve read this at least 10 times and I think I’m missing something because surely your daughters 12 year old brother would be your son?

Not necessarily Scorchers. I think a lot of people leave out the step and the half before siblings or children. For example I've spoken to two of my brothers today. One is my full brother and the other is my half brother (same dad different mum)and I'd never refer to either as anything but my brother.

  6. Google knows everything already, if Moo and Frankie have come up with an elaborate plan to mine my data and sell it then they will have to get in line.

Would have been better if Rock didn't look so much more like a star compared to that tit.

That waistcoat\shirt\whatever the fuck that was says midlife crisis much more than it does star.

Why didn't jerry like referencing that he had a son for years? Or was that something Mandela effect I'm experiencing.

Vanity on Lawlers part. Not wanting people to think he was old enough to have a grown up son.

    I bet you he does.

I win, you have to stop watching AEW. You win, I'll give up the Cody bedspread.

I'm more interested in this development than anything Seth Rollins does.

  10. I was wrong. Jimmy got his 700th wicket. Just a shame it had to be in such a crushing defeat. If you only bat 105 overs in your two innings combined you are going to struggle, not even getting to day 4 is awful. I'm sure the bowlers will be changed around for the next test, you don't need two spinners at home. The batsmen will all get another go I'd imagine.

  11. Nice to see our spinners start to take wickets when the Indians have more than doubled our score. It will be a real surprise if Jimmy gets chance to get his 700th wicket in the second innings.

Away from that, Duncan Fearnley has died. I had a Fearnley Magnum or two in the 90s-2000s and as one of the senior players Keith remarked on more than one occasion "That is wasted on you, it's a Magnum ice cream thar you're good with" which was a more than fair comment. Anyway old Duncan made some good bats, that were sadly wasted on my cow corner slogging. Keith himself had a Fearnley that was like a railway sleeper, I couldn't bat with it, not that he'd let me. Keith had been a very good player in his younger days, had played for Lincolnshire Gentlemen but had fallen out of favour when he was scoring a game one day because of injury. Him and the other scorer had been assigned a lad to fetch and carry for them and they had spent the day getting him to fetch drinks from the bar. Keith was always generous and had told the lad to get one for himself when they sent him. By mid to late afternoon the lad was pretty hammered. Unfortunately for Keith he was the son of the Mayor Of Lincoln who was giving out the awards at the end of the day. He was also only 14 years old. Keith told us that he had assumed he was getting himself soft drinks, which is fair enough, but also knowing Keith he didn't really care, he once offered his beta blockers around like sweets before a game. If I'd known then what I know now I'd have taken one.
