  1. Yeah, now he's hit 30 he's way past his prime.

I don't think age has anything to do with it John. Whenever the name Jonny Storm has been mentioned over the past 5 years or so the name Jody Fliesch has usually only been a heartbeat away from been mentioned, and look where Jody finished, even having to get into the 50 in the elimination round. Add to that the fact that internet marks can be a fickle breed at the best of times, especially the sort of fan who loves the spotfest kind of match that Jonny has competed in over the past few years. So I am also suprised that Jonny is so high up, not down to age just down to changing fashions. IMO the reasons Jonny is still held in high regard are his great crowd working skills and also his ability to blend comedy into the high flying fast paced stuff, and they are things that Jody really doe not excel in hence his drop.
  2. Is that G-Man?!Why isn't he in the top 50?

I have always found that G Man is good on the mic but only so-so in the ring whenever I have seen him. I can't think of anyone I have seen so far in the top 50 that he desrves to be above.
  3. Sam Slam has also wrestled a lot for RDW where he is over like Hogan. Although his 450 is an incredible sight to behold I would prefer it if he wrestled more to his size and power to be honest. He does have the advantage of having had training from Ricky Knight and the rest of the Knight clan so I am sure that his future will be guided very well.

  4. if you get the chance try checking out Katsidis/Amonsot too, its an absolute war.

It was a war indeed. Katsidis's marked up very badly indeed but he still gave it everything to win. Although he has pretty good power Katsidis does tend to slap a lot with the inside of the glove. It looks like he is landing lots of punches but all he is doing is landing a lot of slaps and expanding loads of energy. Katsidis is exciting to watch and the american's would have loved his all action style for the most part but he still has a lot to learn.
  5. Little Update from the Observer-WWE will go on with regular programming tomorrow in San Antonio, with Smackdown & ECW tapings not based on either a tribute to Chris Benoit or continuing the Vince McMahon angle.

    Yeah. Sucks to be Creative.
Didn't you get the feeling that this was always going to be the case thought Kenny. With the attrition rate on wrestlers being as high as it is then it was only a matter of time before the Vince dead storyline ran into another wrestler death. This was always going to happen and being in creative was always going to be bad when the boss who is supposed to be dead then has to go out on TV alive and well and deliver the eulogy on another dead wrestler. Tbh I always thought it would be Kurt Angle, I never suspected it would be Benoit, but WWE creative brought all this on themselves from the moment they used the death of a character in a storytline.
  6. I sat here for 20 minutes trying to think of something to type. The words I type and delete many times over do not seem to sound right when I read them back. I will cherish the memory of Chris Benoit the wrestler for now and put to one side what my memory of Chris Benoit the man will be until more is known surrounding the circumstances. To eulogise over a man who may have killed his wife and son does not seem right to me so for the moment I say that the loss of Chris Benoit the wrestler is very sad indeed.

  7. Those of you who have seen the racing post today may know that Salford Mill again did not live up to expectations on the breakfast with the stars gallop yesterday. The horse appears to be fine, it did not seem though to like the course. I have found out today that the connections have again turned down the

  8. Ok then boys and girls today I heard another bit of information regarding the Derby. The owners of Salford Mill have turned down 2 million quid for the horse from one of the major players in the world of horse breeding, most likely Godolphin but I was not told exactly who. The owner and trainer are convinced they can get 4 million for it after it has won the Derby. Now that is a lot of money to turn down if you are not sure it will win, so subsequently I have just been on betfair and wiped out the last of the 9.6 that was available and it is now down to 9.2. I can do no more than pass on the information. It is up to you what you do with it.Good luck.

  9. They are now saying it is more likely to go for the St James Palace Stakes rather than the Derby. The way it finished yesterday though it looked full of running and was running past the post. I know that the St James is a group 1 race but The Derby is a Classic. I hope they put it in The Derby but it owes me nothing at all so good luck to them wherever it runs.

  10. I expect Mayweather to win but have had a couple of little bets on De La Hoya in the 6th and on the Draw.Bell time should be about 4 am.

  11. Last day of the jumps season today. The last race is the Betfred Gold Cup at Sandown. I am not sure Reveillez gets more than the three miles 1 furlong he got at Aintree last time so I will be opposing him. Hot Weld obviously gets the trip but only a week after doing 4 miles it could be too soon. So just a few quid each way on Jack High for me.

  12. I have also been given a little Derby tip. I have been advised that Cockney Rebel will run very well in the Derby. It comes from the same source that has given me Sir Percy and Motivator in the last two years at big prices. It is currently 50-1 and the person who gave me it advises a few pounds each way, so I thought I would share and you can do what you like.

Cockney Rebel was trading as high as 330 on Betfair only a few days ago is now down to 120. It seems a few people agree with the tip.
  13. My main bet Simon fell when travelling really well at Valentines the second time round. Next year maybe but I feel this is an opportunity missed. I did back Philson Run to place on Betfair at 38 so it covered my losses.Probably going to have some time off from betting, maybe a week or two at least.
