There was a discussion on Reddit about that and a designer actually said that from his professional perspective it was correct the way it is.

Yeah I noticed that. Annoying for a bank holiday weekend over here. How hard is it to just pick some random shows and throw them on to fill the schedule with some sort of theme to tie them together?
-
It was pretty much how they presented Rock's entrance into the business on his most recent DVD.
-
20 I think. I'm intrigued to see how they'll fill them.
-
That was an excellent watch. I get the feeling that the "Rollins in trouble in NXT" stuff was embellished a bit to make it seem like all 3 had obstacles in their way. I'm sure everyone has at least one opponent when they're working their way up.
Â
When they were profiling Roman and his family ties, did they mention that he's related to Rock? Thought that was funny that they didn't do so.
Â
Really cool to see how the three developed as a team from when they debuted. They were the same gimmick but really grew leaps and bounds.Â
Â
Less $9.99 schtick, more of this stuff please!

Can't wait to get home to watch this.
Â
I think there's a 2 mine clip on YouTube they put up.

Just finished watching the Kevin Steen Show with Cliff Compton. It was great fun. Very little wrestling talk, mostly Cliff just telling various stories.
Â
Just watched it myself. The El Generico at Guns 'N Roses and the chair stories were brilliant. Cliff really knows how to tell a story.

Anyone having issues watching anything from the library (non-live stuff)?

Anyone else find Meltzer's laugh really irritating like when he does his weekly segment on the LAW?Â

Agreed with the JR podcast. Usually I'll skip the intro to the actual interview but when I did so, I couldn't actually find a bit with Sting or AJ talking despite actually being in the interview portion of the ep. It's a good show if you're a JR fan but for interviews, you can do better with Austin, Jericho and Colt.

He Cc'd Mike Johnson in on an email meant for Mike Tenay which is how it all became public that he was consulting for them...even though he had previously denied he was involved with them.
-
How much wrestling is in the Shamrock interview? I've not much interest in MMA.
I think there will be a part two which covers his MMA and wrestling career. The first one was mainly his upbringing and personal life.
-
That Shamrock ep was a really excellent listen. Intense, honest stuff.

Cheers for that Nathan For You recommendation, just watched some of the YouTube clips and have acquired S1 now.
-
Yeah I wasnt sure how the Daniels/Austin one would go but it went by so quickly, both parts in fact.
Â
With Russo, you never feel like you're getting a real guy, like he's always on the attack to defend himself.
Â
I'm looking forward to listening to Dreamer on Austin's. He was awesome on Wrestling with Depression a few months back.

I'm up for this. Haven't rewatched it yet since I first blew through it over a summer about 6 years ago. I feel like every WWE writer should be given this 2 weeks before beginning their job. Schillinger/Beecher is the best pro wrestling feud that didn't take place in a pro wrestling setting, ever.
-
Watching the recent Nova shoot. He takes such sharp intakes of breath he seems like he's on the verge of having a heart attack.
-
When WWE used to say that tickets for an event sold out in minutes, what did they base that on? Were they just lying blatantly?
-
Absolutely brilliant show. In fact the whole package with the pre and post-shows are exactly what WWE should be doing. It's treating the storylines and characters somewhat seriously and realistic but with enough fun so it's not just straight and boring like Cornette's vision of ROH.
Â
Also, how likeable is Zayn? The line about being a bad brother from dedicating everything to wrestling etc., and how all he is is a wrestler was brilliant.
Â
Best women's match in ages too and don't mind them bringing in Ric and Bret. If this was done on Raw or SD, I can imagine some terrible segments involving the seniors but this was well pulled off. After the bell rang, I was almost a little teary when all four hugged. Must have been a wonderful moment for the Flairs following Reid's death a while back.
Â
I think Tyson has stepped up his game too. At one point following Total Divas, I was hoping for a gimmick where Tyson aimlessly wanders around fucking up Nattie's chances at the belt and not giving a shit, but this dynamic is really interesting. He's looking in the best shape he's ever been in and he's saying just enough. His facials have gotten better too I think.

During the USA/Canada storyline in 1997, did WWE book more regular tapings in Canada than normal to make the most of the divide?
-
Isn't it also a case of the writers having to constantly rewrite the show because Vince changes his mind?

I've drowned my lungs from taking a sip for the working man too often.

Having an issue with the video player atm. The actual video is playing fine but the bar at the bottom with the play/pause button, videobar, volume isn't showing.
Â
I'm using the Hola plug in on Chrome.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Saw Gone Girl today. The usual Fincher brilliance. Really funny too which I wasn't expecting. The 2 1/2 hours pretty much flew by. One of those experiences which I'm not sure will be as good second time round when you know what's coming but as a first experience was terrific. Affleck, Pike, Dickens were all great and I was happy to see Nora from the Leftovers in it too.
