  1. Finally finished watching earlier and the end segment was great. Triple H is such a prick and I really want Bryan to make him tap as the last hurdle before taking the title from Orton. Should comfortably fill the main event scene until Cena is back. I can also see Punk siding with Bryan once he runs out of things to do with Heyman. From a storyline point of view it would be logical looking at his history with all men involved.

Speaking of Punk I really liked when he ripped into the fat guy. He just seemed in one of those moods where you are so angry you are willing to batter the first person to look at you slightly funny. I'll take that over Cena's passive aggressive nice guy act any day

I don't like that sort of fan interaction from a face. A heel? Yeah OK? But a face calling out a fan when he is in the safety of a wrestling ring guarded by barricades and plenty security? Just sounds very cowardly to me.

  2. Saw The World's End on Sunday and enjoyed it. It's got some funny moments, I didn't quite know where the story was going to go which was nice, and it had a bit of the John Wyndhams about it. Paddy Considine and Rosamund Pike were both very good. The only real problem I had was Simon Pegg's character, who is maybe just a bit too much of an unlikeable twat in it. I can see what they were trying to go for with the character and Pegg plays it really well, but if he'd just been slightly less of a twat I'd have probably liked the film as a whole a bit more.

Last night, we went to a screening of Springsteen & I, which is one of those documentaries where all the content has been sent in by the public. I loved it as a massive Springsteen fanboy, and it just reminded me of how brilliant the man and his music are, but I don't know how well it'd go with a non-fan. There were some really good stories in there - the Danish bloke, the British factory worker who went to MSG to see him - but there were some right weirdos (American, mostly) who submitted films as well. If you like Bruce, it's a must-see, because it just reinforces all the joy, the passion, and the connection that people have with him. If you can't stand anything he's done then firstly, you'll not get much out of the film, and secondly, you have made me very sad.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and over the end credits of Springsteen & I there's an amazing supercut style thing of 'Born To Run' performances, starting in 1975 and going through his entire career, cutting at certain points in the song to the late 70s, early 80s, 1985, 90s, early 2000s, 2009 and then 2013 - and there's no drop in quality at any point during those forty years. It's a brilliant way to end the film.

"I'm his friend but he's never met me." and my favourite was the guy who didn't like Bruce Springsteen and wanted him to shorten his shows. Haha!

  3. You might have been better off with the other Walking Dead game.WalkingDeadSurvivalInstinct_herd_bonusLG_1.jpg

I'm not much of a fan of FPS. I saw it and thought it may be a bit like Broken Sword in it's gameplay. But just now it seems to be "click everything that's indicated and watch how it unfolds.." as oposed to try and work things out with little puzzles.I am only in the pharmacy in Macon though...
  4. I just watched Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father. That was tough, didn't know anything about it before watching and it completely caught me off gaurd. There is some staggering stuff in there, stuff you just can't believe happened. Definatly recommend. :sneaky:

Dear Zachary left me in bits. One to avoid when you've got the emotional hangover, that's for sure.
Quite the same here. I didn't read up on it or anything so had no idea what was to come in the documentary. I have never been left feeling so sad but at the same time so angry by a documentary.Louis Theroux's top documentaries? Is there a list or an article of his anywhere online?
  5. unbelievable fight, for 7 rounds Ricky Burns was having a boxing lesson but there's no breaking the guy. The 7th round was the round of the year, just amazing action.

I think Gonzalez quit through a combination of a busted hand and knowing that he had nothing left, he'll no doubt regret it for the rest of his life but Burns showed why he's a world champion, you've gotta be able to grit your teeth and work through the tough times.

Ricky Burns should be the most popular fighter in the country, so likable and displays all the characteristics that casual fans want to see in boxing, yet he remains a bit of an unknown commodity outside of Scotland and the hardcore boxing fanbase...dude should be on the back pages.

After a slightly anti-climatic Mayweather event last weekend i needed a boxing pick-me-up and i got it last night. The undercard was good too, Choi/Simpson was good shit.

    Very true mate.

Burns should be a national treasure really, I suppose he his in certain parts of Scotland.

He seems a really decent bloke, very down to earth, honest and very likeable.

Does he still work at Greaves Sports? I remember after his first couple of defences of his world title a big deal was made that he still worked in a sports shop.

  6. Watched "Mission To Lars" last night. It's a documentary made by the brother and sister of a person called Tom, a man who suffers from Fragile X Syndrome. One of his obsessions was to meet Lars Ulrich. His sister and brother decide to take him to the states to meet him. This documentary follows their journey to the USA to meet the Metallica drummer.

I thought it was quite a moving documentary. However at times, I could see them getting quite pissed off with Tom and doubting the trip. I didn't think that helped things with Tom. Seeing as Fragile X is a type of autism and the autistic like routine, being taken out of his comfort zone would have been a big deal for Tom. They couldn't have made it any more uncomfortable for him I don't think with their squabling and sometimes talking down to him.

However when that moment comes that they do finally meet Lars, it sure put a smile on my face.

It wasn't a long documentary, but it was interesting and quite fun at times!
