  1. These "Tag Someone" posts are fucking annoying. Been tagged in two today. Thanks "friends", just link my page to a bunch of random spackers. Thank christ my profile is private.

Also, it's filled my news timeline. Facebook has turned into Bebo.

    Idiots.

  2. Kook, we definitely need to do this. If anyone's going to let their real life name change be decided by a UKFF poll, it's you. You in?

I already know someone that's changed their name to something a tin bit out of the ordinary... sigh.

Also, can I just saying, getting back to baby photos. They don't annoy me so much. It's the "Baby Bump" photos that seem to be in fashion nowadays. Why do you feel the need to show off your minging baby belly? Urgh!

  3. I used to buy a comic in my early teens, cant for the life of me remember what it was - i think it may have been a Punisher comic, nothing elitist, just used to buy it from the local newsagent and inside they had a Robocop comic strip which used some of the TV edits to get around language issues.

Anyone else remember that? or know where i could find some of that artwork?

Edit: Found it. Fuck me, 1989. I was 8

Speaking about Robocop. I used to have the cartoon on VHS. This was the episode I always used to watch religiously.

    "HAIL ZAKISTAN!"

  4. I remember the ITV edit of Robocop. Two particular bits spring to mind - when Bob Morton looks into the camera (Robocop's vision) and says "You're gonna be one bad mother-crusher!" and when Robocop intervenes at a liquor store robbery, with the robber yelling "Why me! Why me!" or (in another version) "Fly me! Fly me!"

OMG! I wasn't crazy! Having taped Robocop off the TV and having watched it for years. I was surprised when on DVD the robber was shouting "FUCK ME!" As I always thought it was "Why Me?" I thought I was me going loopy.

  5. Devin Townsend Project has announced a gig in Aberdeen in May. Is he worth going to see?

    In a word, yes.

Was one of the highlights of Download 2012 and saw him in December too. Great fun, and his band is tight as hell

He was at Download last year? FFS.

Yep, headlined the Pepsi-Max stage on day one. Saw him with Fear Factory and Tessarect in December too at Manchester Ritz. He seems to come over here quite often so you'll have plenty of chances to see him I'm sure, but if the Aberdeen gig is local to you then definately go

That'll be why I never saw him, was watching Slash & Myles. Gigs only

  7. Everyone that I know who has an opinion on Grimshaw hates him. I think he's a total twat.. But he was brought in to appeal to young people and I don't know many 'young people'.

What do they think of him? Anyone know?

Sorry to go off topic here but I was wondering this the other day..

Forgive me for sounding old and all that, but... that ad on BBC 1 for Grimshaw and his Clique... that IS a pisstake, right? I mean, they're sending themselves up?

I'm assuming so, because otherwise it's the saddest thing I've ever seen on the Beeb. Even if it is a sendup, they STILL come across as tossers.

That's Radio 1 for ya... Pre-Grimshaw days in my opinion as well!

It depends really. I'm the youngest in my office, but I can't stand him. However the other "youngsters" seem to love him and radio 1. But that's a moot point as they are mongs anyway!

  9. I know it may not be of any awesomeness to you guys but it is to me. I've finally found videos of the high pitched voice guy from my trip to the Everglades during my WrestleMania holiday earlier this year. Boy was more entertaining than the animals!!!!

  10. Went to see Paranormal Activity 4. I think that was a mistake. I've never come out of the cinema so underwhelmed.

For a film series that's billed as "shock, jump, fear" I was left severely disapointed when I didn't feel any fear or was made to jump at all.

There was also some bits of the plot that could be better explained.

Pfft. Hope my next trip to the cinema will be better than this one!

  11. Tremonti - All I Was Album Stream

    It's better than I expected.

I missed this post in amongst the Green Day stuff, this is pretty bad ass. Not reinventing the wheel by any stretch, but Tremonti is a killer guitar player and a good songwriter, this is good. I quite like his vocals too, surprised me there. I'll pick this up next week.

Yeah, I've grown to like it more. My favourite album of the year so far.

Here is his debut live show. Not too shabby.
