Hi Rule. enjoying this thread immensely! Job well done.
Â
Any chance of a look at the WCW tag titles? Lovely belts in their final incarnation!
-
This guy seems to have posted what appears to be the production version of this week's TNA Impact.
Â
It has the ring cleaners in the ring without audio during commercials, and a couple of off air conversations with Taz/Tenay. Unless this is some hyper reality TV thing they've done because of the direct tv deal, it seems legit. Not that out of the ordinary, but I thought it was interesting!

Cracking little angle from 1991, I'd never seen it before, especially with Sid as a babyface, but I enjoyed this immensely!

IIRC it was after Judgement day 2000, Taker gave Triple H a stinger with the tombstone, and they banned piledrivers for a while afterwards. He introduced the last ride shortly afterwards. I think.

I kinda wish we had got see Tony Schiavone go full heel, I enjoy his being bitter as fuck here! Or I'd just like to see him back on tv tbh!
-
I was under the impression you could record PPV's in HD if you order it through your box, but not if you phone them to order? I could be wrong, but I was sure someone had mentioned that previously!
-
I'm not surprised, his blood pressure must have been through the roof with a red face like that.
Â
The idea of Brother Love being ill with a broken heart has made my day a little. Obviously I hope he gets better (sounds like he's on the mend and all), but that is cruelly hilarious irony nonetheless.
-
According to JBL's facebook, Bruce Pritchard had two heart attacks this week. Presumably he's been given some time off by TNA in which case?
Â
Apologies if this has already been posted, but is the first I've heard of it!
-
According to his Twitter, Ted Dibiase broke his ankle last night. No further details as yet.
-
Zoe ball tapped out the the sharpshooter, before tapping out was a well known thing. How very odd.
-
Â
I'm sure this has probably been posted before, and is presumably off their dvd, but I'd not seen it before. Triple H and Michaels seems like top lads in this , just having a great laugh, probably staged as fuck, but enjoyable anyway.
-
Or just that Hogan told them to belt the belt on his boy on the day, and Reed didn't really give a shit?
-
Hi there! Racking my brain about this. What is film where, I assume, Max Von Sydow says to somebody "I wonder what kind of mind watches Wrestling?". Something like that. Thanks!
Â
Hannah and her sisters
Â
Did they use that at the beginning of Beyond the Mat?

For someone who wasnt aware till pretty much just after this show of the British Wrestling Scene, I struggle with the concept of Wrestling on Radio and probably would of at the time. For people who listened what kind of experience was it to just have audio?
Â
Have. Would have. Sorry to be a pedant but that drives me crazy!

Ah yes Revival! I find it incredibly hard to believe that was a decade ago! Amazing how time flies.
Â
I have some excellent memories of that show. We arrived several hours before the show and queued outside so we could be front row, which was an excellent decision, not just because we got the seats we wanted, opposite the ramp, but also because of the excellent banter we had with the like minded people also waiting outside stupidly early. We had brought a chalkboard along, with the idea it could be an ever changing sign, which actually worked surprisingly well. During the event, we had a sign that said 'Eddie stole my wallet', which Guerrero actually responded to with some crack about there being no money in it, only condoms. so we changed the sign to 'Eddie stole my condoms' when he came out again later.
Â
I also managed to get accidentally punched in the face by an on-rushing Robbie Brookside during his entrance which was quite amusing. Deserved probably given our teenage, cynical, smarky-as-fuck attitude to it all! (I've learned to be less of a twat since then)
Â
The wrestling was immense, and it was a really excellent showcase for the UK scene at the time. Jody Fleisch looked like a star, Alex Shane seemed like a huge deal, and even Tommy Boyd was credible as the heel authority figure. The atmosphere in the building was excellent as it was a really fun night. Nothing since has come quite so close to bringing it back to the big time in this country!

Did WWE (then WWF) use some kind of voice altering technology for promos cut by Nailz in 1992? It sounds like there is weird effect over his voice in the interviews.
-
When Ric Flair showed up in the WWF in the early 90s and proclaimed himself the "real world champion", what belt did he bring with him? It looks like the NWA one, but surely he didn't have permission to wear it on WWF TV, did he?
Â
It was the big gold belt.

Isn't Summerslam "based" in L.A. now, much like Halloween Havoc was in Las Vegas? So that could be a nice holiday.
Â
Â
I'd read that somewhere too. Apparently they want to do it every year from the staples center to attract celebrities to attend, as well as having a decent crowd, and try and make it seem like a big deal again.

To make amends for my Randy Orton trace...
Â
Â
Is that an amputee cm punk?

Since when was Sterling James Keenan in WWE's develepmental?
Â
You'd think he'd be busy, fronting a band like Tool, and having A Perfect Circle as a side project would take up all of most peoples time. What a trooper.
