Would work better post-chin implant but I couldn't (be arsed to) find a photo.

    Nah, looks more like...

Is George Michael a wrestling fan or is Buff a George Michael fan? Somebody stole the look, it's too similar.

  2. My favourite El Matador moment was the 1993 Royal Rumble when he came in and the whole ring was filled with lovely bright colours. You had Martel's pink, Backlund's red, Randy Savage's light green, Matador's green and pink combo. It was so colourful in them days. I miss the colour.

I agree. People still seem to think it's 1998 and black and white/red is the only way to look cool. To me Warrior, Surfer Sting and Bret Hart still look cool when I watch them from the early 90s. Cena's merch and Alberto Del Rios gold/white combo are glimmers of hope.

  3. Can someone give me the jist of Flair's 2nd WWF Title win?

I remember seeing it on TV, but I know it wasn't on PPV. Seemed strange for for no pay-off to the Flair/Savage fued. Also why didn't they fight at Summerslam that year?

I'm only guessing here, but when that generally happened around that period of time it was because they weren't drawing well at house shows.

  4. Just watched Nash and X-Pac's shoot. Really good and funny as you expect. Didnt know that Nash threatened to beat up the Rock infront of the locker room and Pat Patterson had to calm it down. Apparently the "Big Daddy Bitch" comment wasnt the thing that pissed him off either. Nash says Rock was talking over the match and was treating Nash like a young boy and said "what move would you like to get in" when they worked a match on Smackdown, so Nash wasnt to happy. One of the many class stories in this one. X-Pac and Kevin Nash's take on TNA is great as well.

Really funny shoot. Both men were pissed or/and high and they both go off on rants here and there - generally all held together with a punchline at the end.

The ending winds you a bit.

Lets hope they can get Nash, Hall and Pac in for a three-way.

  5. I'm not for them getting storylines from fans, but I think it would be healthy if they actively seeked feedback from the fans to improve their product. Back when WCW was kicking their arses and Vince was skint, Vinnie Mac would use everything to get better and appeared to be open to ideas (he hired his magazine editor as a storyline writer, followed Paul Heyman closely and read Wrestling Observer).

They know they are not doing that great but it appears they have no idea what their fans are after at times.

  6. I agree. Fin Martin just comes across as bitter. I've not bothered buying this months and I'm not arsed. It started to get really just under two years ago, where he'd bring up somebody like Bret Hart or Mick Foley in an article for no reason, just to slag them off.

Nah. Wrestling isn't anywhere near as good as it used to, and just because someone doesn't like it - doesn't mean he's not allowed to voice his opinion of it in the wish it becomes great again.

Watching someone bum TNA's lousy booking like some here because "It's an alternative to the WWE" is a retarded viewpoint anyway.

No doubt. But I have a problem with him ripping wrestlers, just because. The amount of times I'll be reading an article or news about something and he'll go slightly off-topic to trash Bret Hart etc is a joke. He just comes across like a bitter troll.

From this logic Fin Martin should just shut up and enjoy wrestling. If he doesn't, stop following it.

Cobblers mate, if he makes a living off it, he continue slagging it off. Wish I could make a living off wrestling even if I hate most of what is "mainstream" and "popular."

You missed my point. I was pointing to someone elses post. Their point was you should just shut up, not have an opinion and don't buy it if you don't like it. Funny that he used this to defend Powerslam, a magazine that is filled proof of Fin Martin 'not liking' the product.

I really don't care if he makes a living trashing wrestling. Some people are into it, I think it's a miserable read.

  7. Im really pleased that im not getting totally abused here as i thought it as a valid topic.

I find it funny that it's cool for Fin Martin to slag wrestling in a wrestling magazine, but if you slag off a magazine on a wrestling forum then you need shot.

The articles aren't that great these days too.
