  1. They really need to push Zach Ryder & have Stanford as his manager & Big O as his bodyguard.

That would be great, but I see more in a MoFo/ZackPack tag team. With Ryders Dad playing the comedic turn, as John Morrison (and Melinas) number one fan.

If they wanted to, they have so much potential in several Ryder made storylines. That's where he's been clever, he includes guys like Ziggler and Morrison, people he knows he can step in and feud with off the bat.

He's getting nearly 120k an episode now. Bravo.

  2. This is the Wrestlemania that Cornette books:

    Steve Austin vs Mick Foley

    Undertaker vs Terry Funk

    Rock vs Sting

    Hulk Hogan vs Dusty Rhodes

    Vince McMahon vs Ric Flair

    Dudleys vs Road Warriors

Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit (Iron Man)

    Triple H vs Booker T

Edge & Christian vs Nova & Jerry Lynn

Big Show & Kane vs Steiners

    Chris Jericho vs Lance Storm

Hardy Boyz vs Jeff Jarrett & Dustin Rhodes

Eddy Guerrero & Perry Saturn & Dean Malenko vs Chavo Guerrero & Rey Misterio Jr & Chris Candido

Battle Royale (won by Rob Van Dam)

Brock Lesnar vs Bam Bam Bigelow

Fantasy booking and you don't have Goldberg v Steve Austin?! The man IS a genius.

  3. The one where Dusty Rhodes wrestles Hulk Hogan, instead of the Rock and Rhodes goes over.

Just to justify the shitness of that suggestion, who is The Rock wrestling on this six hour epic?

  4. I watched the last three rounds in the pub. It looked like a boring fight and Haye was playing into Klitschkos hands with his tactics.

I was suprised to hear the loud cheering when Klitschkos name was announced too. It appears the combination of his joke of a fight with Harrison (people go on about Klitschko fighting weak opponents...) and his smack talk turned people against him. I'm always amazed that people can't see that Haye was just hyping up a fight and creating buzz (then again some people are idiots).

Ah well, at least something interesting happened in the Heavyweight divsion.

  5. No matter the size, I bet Batista is a master shagger. Like Mel Gibson in What Women Want. Just a pure orgasm machine.

Probably explains why John Morrison sat and observed while Batista was shagging Melina. Poor bloke was looking for tips.

  6. Not seen RAW, so no spoilers obviously, but I notice the discussion thread has 5 pages already, which is very rare these days, did something rather newsworthy go down? Again don't say what but just interested to know whether it'll be something worth watching etc.

To quote Jericho on twitter (chopping out the spoiler bit) "...something tonight that hasn't been done in awhile...make history."

    Enjoy!

  7. My favorite shoots are the Youshoot ones. I've seen them all I think, bar the Dixie Carter one, and the interviewee always comes across well. Maria had a really good one.

You didn't miss much on the Dixie one. The major points were that pay-per-view is dying out so their low buyrates aren't a concern and most angles where the fans chanted "FIRE RUSSO" were not actually booked by Russo. Hmm.

I don't suppose anyone has a MP3 of the Maria YouShoot they can upload, have they?

Dutch Mantell said Dixie is talking shite (on his Guest Booker DVD). I wouldn't be suprised if Russo lied to Dixie that the "Fire Russo" stuff was written by Dutch so he didn't get the blame. People who have worked with Russo say he's the type to throw you under the bus to save himself. It does explain why he's lasted so long (while everybody else has been replaced) despite business never really being what it probably should be.

  8. Kane has had a powerbomb as a finisher in at least one or two wrestling games. Did he ever in real life?

Randomly came to my mind that he once beat one of Kaientai on Heat during a tag match with it. The commentator called it a Last Ride though if I remember correctly. Unsure whether he used it at all apart from that occasion but he definitely did that one time.

He started doing it when he and Undertaker started teaming up as the 'Brothers of Destruction' (great name). Seeing as Kane always nicked 'Takers moves they thought he should have a Powerbomb too. I do remember it looking like shite, most of the time.

  9. Cracking episode last night. Stewart Lee really is a fantastic man.

This was possibly the highlight for me. And it wasn't even on the main show:

    Silverchair signature. Respect!

  10. The Mizs new t-shirts are terrible...

Also found out that The Rock is giving the royalties of his t-shirts to 'Wounded Warrior Project'. Very nice of him as it's a significant fee, no doubt.

Stings had a couple of cool TNA t-shirts. His new batch aren't all that though.

  11. II'm a long time Buh Buh boy, though, and news of his current push got me running to the product faster than you could possibly imagine...

So far though, the reality is that Buh Buh, Angle and the occasional incoherent Flair promo are the shows only saving grace. They need to bring me some Bully Ray merch out, i'd buy that right up...

He's the best thing about TNA (well after Stings lovely new jacket).

  12. Will Challenge be showing Lockdown?!

I'm dipping my toes in the TNA pool, somewhat, and its pissing hard to get into that product; there is literally no easy entrance points. So, I want to give the PPV a chance...

They show PPVs on Wednesdays (10pm?).

You picked a terrible time to start. I've generally enjoyed TNA for most of its Spike run but since December the product hasn't been very good.

  13. Anybody catch Katie: My beautiful friends on Channel 4 last night? Its about Katie (the TV presenter/model that had acid thrown in her face) setting up a charity for victims similar to her and meeting people with scars and disfigurements.

The last 5 minutes were horrifying/tragic. The women screaming in pain as the doctor rips the stitches off her nose, all you see during this is her mother cringing/crying listening to her daughter in pain.

  14. Jim Carrey in Me Myself& Irene = ringer for Cena

Would work better post-chin implant but I couldn't (be arsed to) find a photo.

    Nah, looks more like...

Is George Michael a wrestling fan or is Buff a George Michael fan? Somebody stole the look, it's too similar.

  15. My favourite El Matador moment was the 1993 Royal Rumble when he came in and the whole ring was filled with lovely bright colours. You had Martel's pink, Backlund's red, Randy Savage's light green, Matador's green and pink combo. It was so colourful in them days. I miss the colour.

I agree. People still seem to think it's 1998 and black and white/red is the only way to look cool. To me Warrior, Surfer Sting and Bret Hart still look cool when I watch them from the early 90s. Cena's merch and Alberto Del Rios gold/white combo are glimmers of hope.
