Very pleased - but not surprised - to see Cameron and Clegg enter the top 10. this has been a good list so far. Who can the remaining 6 be? Have we had Cheryl Cole yet? Jordan?
Â
Will blatantly be top 3 if not top.
Â
In fact scrub the list, just get the wordsmiths of the forum to compete to see who can mock Matt in the funniest fashion.Â
Why bother? His tweets unintentionally deride himself far better than any mere forummer could manage.

That's not been made explicit, and at the very least Daniels is wrestling the night after in Atlanta on the undercard of Wolves/WGTT.
-
(Dethroned was spoilt for me though!)
Â
Yeah, spoilers baked right in there. Reckon they'll carry on riding the "sequels" horse when the day eventually (and sadly) comes, and knock out "Dethroned II"?
-
Wasnt Robot Wars on at half 6 also?
Â
Wouldnt know, I was actually out at that point. Used to swim for my county and Fridays was training. Was ecstatic when Nitro got changed from the 7PM slot because it meant I stopped missing the start and having to wind tape back.
Â
Cartoon Network turning into TNT is still iconic to me.

joe, Chris Daniels is getting the next shot in Atlanta.

Sure we need spoiler tags. Usually just hide a full set of results.
Â
Personally iPPVs aside, I dont understand any ROH fans who do/can stay spoiler free. Not like they are going to not know the result of the MMIV title match until the DVD comes, when going to the website to order it they will barraged with headlines / photos that give it away anyway. In fact by the time this DVD is out, there will probably be a headline of "Edwards v Richards OFFICIAL for Hammerstein" floating around.

Arquette handed the belt to Jarratt, ushering in a whole near era of sillyness. In the seven months between that show and the year's end, the title changed hands a further ten times in seven months. Farcical. Even TNA wouldn't do that....

Steamboat wasnt really a heel in ROH, its just that when he voiced his opinion, eschewing hardcore wrestling in favour of actual wrestling in heated debate with Mick Foley, a lot of the ROHbots sided with Foley. Neither was actually heel, nor the teams they managed against each other.
Â
That was the big problem with ROH for a while, apart from Punk no fucker was a heel.

Manhattan Mayhem IV is in the books.

I feel let down by the fact no-one gave the go ahead to Patterson's suggestion.
Â
Steamer's alternate Fatality would have been Liu Kang's dragon morph, OBVIOUSLY.

Has there been a World Champion in any of the major US promotions in the past 25 years that has either been a heel or a face for their entire career and have never turned? The only one I can think of is The Ultimate Warrior, unless he was heel earlier in his career.
Â
Was Ricky Steamboat ever a heel?

Put me in the Nitro camp too. Nitro (and latterly Thunder too), pause for breath then the Raw repeat over on Sky. At the time, it was brilliant.
Â
In hindsight, a social life might have been preferable.

How did I forget that Spence twat??? Argh, this makes me so angry I want to rip my own eyeballs out. Much like him.

A colleague once read one of his tweets out of Heat, something along the lines of
Â
"WTF is wiv da weather? Its snowin n fukin sunny at tha same tym LOL"
Â
AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhTWAT

Big Egg Universe, All Japan Women, 20th November 1994 at the Tokyo Dome ("Egg Dome") - Bull Nakano puts Alundra down to take the WWF Womens title.
Â
Light Heavyweight title? Pass.

Lombardi was also a duplicate at times during that run wasn't he? Before Doink turned and Borne was replaced with Apollo?
-
Isn't Richard Bacon so under the radar these days, that if he died tomorrow, people wouldn't have the motivation to react either way?
Â
He'd still get an "RIP" thread I'll bet.
Â
PM sent, and it was hard narrowing it down to ten or not just listing footballers I cant stand.

Yes and yes.

Now that I look at it, you're absolutely right. There's quite a few matches that have disappeared from the channel. They've even taken down the Unbreakable 3 way with Joe/Styles/Daniels. Other stuff I've noticed includes the King of the Mountain matches. That's a bit disappointing really...hope they've done it for a reason.
Â
Presumably so that if people want to watch some of their most talked about matches, they might buy the DVDs, which they wouldnt do if these matches are readily available for free.
-
Make no bones about it, it's war. Even if they only run the same weekend once a year (Mania), its clear you work for Gabe or you work for ROH but not both.
Â
How sad.
-
I've watched the Unbreakable match on numerous occasions and it was every bit as good as fans make it out to be; however, I've not seen their TP scrap and subsequently have never heard much about this one. The list in general is very good and I'm just wondering if anybody who has seen this match could tell me whether or not it deserved to included in a top 100 matches of 1994-2011 list.
Â
This is massively subjective but here goes.
Â
The criticism of the first match (if you can call it is criticism) is that its none stop. Completely high octane, spot spot spot. Admittedly it was extraordinarily exciting, one of the candidates for best match in TNA history. The constant action means that personally the "third guy having a breather" spells that pervade triangle matches (which is one of the reasons I hate them) were either briefer or less noticeable. It's a non stop thrill ride but there is little in the way of psychology or selling, even though there is a feeling of building towards the end when Joe splatters outside. Its pretty much perfectly paced in that respect, and a lot of the near falls are pretty convincing.
Â
Conversely, their match at Turning Point has more in the way of selling - there is less action but it feels like the stuff they do means more. As I recall there are also several spots that are cool nods to previous battles each has had - including with each other - and its a good "storytelling" match that builds to a satisfying end. With my pervert hat on, I'd say it is the "better" match.
Â
But I'd still rather watch the Unbreakable one, because it sets my heart racing.
Â
Make sense?

If I had to guess, La Magistral got Jack the win. Scratch that - a reversal of La Magistral.
Â
who was the informer in wwf magazine ?Â
Russo probably.

There's also a variety of really stupid indyrrific piledriver variations off the ropes on Youtube, but I can't be bothered posting them.
Â
There's also a moonsault Styles Clash botch that actually knocks the guy out and they have to pretend that he kicked out. Thats right, a moonsault Styles Clash was booked to be a near fall. FFS.
-
Benoit did indeed tombstone Jericho off the middle in the Super J Cup 95. But it looked a bit crap.
Â
Justin Credible did a middle rope Thats Incredible on Jerry Lynn at Heat Wave 98.

EDIT
About 6:20.Jerry Lynn dies 6:50

Reading about Liz Taylor this week my mate at work remarked how stunning she was in her prime. Might we start an off shoot thread for "back in the day" fitness - as in, now no longer fit / ancient / deceased - while reserving this for the older but still amazing category?
