  1. Iron Shieks speech was quite touching, it's clear he has a lot of love for the McMahons - Vince in particular and amazingly held it all together even when he breaking into his 'crazy ol shooter shieky baby' character every now and again. He had the crowd in stitches.

  2. According to rumours it's one of the first ever constructed lightsabers by the Sith hence the flakey unstable laser beam and also the crossguard parts are exhaust vents apparently.

The character holding it has been referred to as a Grave Digger/Collector who is fascinated by the Sith and collects historical artefacts.

This is all just rumour remember.

  3. This more than likely isn't 100% correct and is more likely than not just a way to get customers of the phone about the matter but I work as a customer advisor for Sky (living the dream I know.) And the statement thats basically been put on our system if a customer is to ask about the network is 'We were not involved in this decision. This announcement was by WWE themselves. Should you have any enquiries or complaints regarding this, please contact WWE.'

Erm..so are SKY involved or not?

  4. At least Lance Storm found a way to embrace his boring personality and use it to his advantage to develop a heel character that effectively got under the skin of fans pretty much everywhere that he worked.

Cesaro's latest thing seems to be to wear a dressing gown to the ring, with a towel on his head. Looks awful.

I'm consistently amazed by the number of people asking why Cesaro isn't being pushed harder to be honest. I get that he's great in the ring, but on the mic he might be one of the worst I've ever seen in a major promotion.

Doesn’t WWE have or hire people who are specialised in basically getting a wrestlers personality across? Something I guess actors, musicians would use?

Someone who can give a wrestler a bit of confidence or belief in front of the mic, walking to the ring, in-ring confrontations and can work with them finding out how to connect with an audience and developing a personality etc?

I don’t know what the correct job role is....? Acting class teacher???

  5. Figured this is the best place for this.

There's a bit of buzz on twitter at the moment from WWE about the 'next generation' making an impact and knocking doors down starting on 22/9, which is this coming Monday and after NOC.

    So, let's speculate:

A mass call up of NXT guys?

A RAW of title matches for people who never had shots certain belts before?

Vince has bumped his head and thinks it's 1995 again?

On the WWE website and Facebook page there's an article that mentions the 'new generation' that focusses only on Zayn, Neville, Steen, Devett & Itami. I'm guessing we'll see them on Monday.

Also Night of Champions is on Sky Sports 3

  6. Finally got down to some time with Arkham Origins - and completed the main story and god knows why this game gets a lot of hate, I thought it was really good.

The boss battles were varied, the Batman/Joker dynamic was explained brilliantly with those disturbing images and levels both Batman and Joker have to get through to finally understand how important each is to the other as well as the main story which questions Batmans choice not to kill anyone despite what Bane & Co. get up to.

Also Batman is a bit of a dick to Alfred and border line psychotic the manner he dispatches some of his foes.

Bring on Arkham Knight! (next year :( )

  7. With the sequel out this week, thought I'd finally watch 21 Jump Street with Jonah Hill & Channing Tatum and have to say how surprised I was to find it hilarious and heartfelt at times.

Channing Tatum has come on leaps and bounds since his shitty role in GI Joe years ago and 22 Jump Street has received positive reviews also so hoping it's just as good as the first one.

  8. Yeah I've seen the Protector 2 - it is absolutely horrendous. It pretty much completes Tony Jaa's trilogy of shit movies since the first Protector movie (Ong Bak 2 & 3 being complete turds)

Good thing Gareth Evans & Iko Uwais came on the scene to give Hong Kong/China a bit of competition.

  9. Couldn't find the trailer thread but here is the trailer for Stephen Chows latest movie.

Looks just as crazy as his last movie Kung Fu Hustle:

Also Donnie Yen's Monkey King is out soon - very positive reviews

Jackie Chan's 2012 movie Armour of God 3: Chinese Zodiac is finally coming out

and a reboot of the Police Story series minus the comedy it seems sadly

Also Tony Jaa vs Dolph Lundgren and Tony Jaa vs Michael Jai White in

  10. Anyone else wake up this morning to find about 71mins of RAW was only recorded on their Sky box? Sky have completely revamped their Sky Interactive features and it seems all systems were reset while RAW was on.

Just bloody typical on the last RAW before WM this happens.

  11. When did so many knobs start going to wrestling shows? What a waste of spunk so many of them were last night. Last years post-Wrestlemania Raw was the worst thing to happen in years in my opinion. Can you imagine what they're going to be like this year?! I'm going to watch the show on mute.

Chicago next Monday..complete hi-jacking of the whole show is all but assured surely unless Cry Baby Punk returns.

  12. Quick heads up for those with Sky. For some reason my Raw record and series link has been completely removed from my planner. This happened to my 2nd box upstairs as well.

Might be worth having a quick check to see if your Sky is set to record tonight's show.

  13. Taking this with a pinch of salt as always but according to some sites the actual RAW script was re-written 10 or 11 times!

How shit must the writers be that after 11 re-writes they still come up with a below standard show!? They had to plug up CM Punks segment and the best they could do was give extra time to the Kofi/Del Rio match

  14. Do they have the patience to draw it out for another year though. They've planted the seeds already so people are expecting it to happen. I think it will either happen at Wrestlemania or the night after

Exactly - Roman should leave but The Shield should still stay together and recruit another member or two.

  15. Looks like we're down to 3 'free' PPVs in 2014 now..

  16. I really liked Burt Wonderstone.

I don't think Jim Carrey will go straight to DVD I think he's more likely to go down the character actor route in unexpected films. I hope so anyway because I really like him.

His films still regularly break the 100mil mark. I doubt hell go direct to dvd ever. Hes just too big a star.

I think Russell Crowe will go direct to dvd next.
