The FutureShock14th Anniversary Show is a week on Saturday and it's looking a bit good. Here's a quick preview of a couple of key matches.

Cyanide, the colossus of FutureShock, has been on a rampage of late. With Noah and Henry T. Grodd by his side he's been doing whatever he wants to whomever he wants. That includes setting his jackals on both Ashton and Joey at Underground 25.

Ashton has called the monster out. No waiting for trouble to find him, he's going to look trouble in the face.

Ashton Smith v Cyanide in a non-title match on March 18th at Uproar 99 in Stockport. Will he gain a measure of payback or is he in for a long night... Or a short, painful one?

That man... The incomparable Joey Hayes. In 2017 he rebounded from a serious injury to make an indelible mark on the singles division of FutureShock wrestling. A series of world class bouts capped off with a huge victory at the conclusion of the inaugural FutureShock Legacy Tournament. If by some chance you'd forgotten how good he was you've no excuses now.

By virtue of his Legacy Tournament success Joey earned himself a FutureShock Heavyweight Championship match. That match will take place at Underground 25 when he squares off against the equally popular Ashton Smith.

Don't ask what I had to do.

Dark things. Awful things. The seventh hole.

It's been a banner year for FutureShock Wrestling. Never before have so many eyes been glued to the home of hard hitting, heart stopping action that's made in Manchester. Underground 24 was due to be a conclusion but it left us with many more questions than answers.

The night kicked off with the two semi-final bouts of the inaugural FutureShock Legacy Tournament. In the first bracket Joey Hayes defeated an incredibly game Abel Stevens, much to the disgust of his new bae Melanie Price. In the second bracket Bubblegum turned back a spirited challenge from a fiery J.J. Webb, having to dig deep into his bag of tricks to do so. As it stood the two veterans, more than familiar with each other, would compete to see who would make history. Neither Stevens nor Webb have anything to be ashamed of, both proving that their stars will continue to rise in the new year.

Tag team champions The Sexy Gents faced unfamilar foes in the form of Lewis Girvan and Aspen Faith, the Kings Of Catch. Fortunately for them their desire to keep hold of their championship gold proved to be greater than both the Scots' desire to claim them and their array of innovative double team offence. At the conclusion of the bout John McGregor and Kevin Lloyd scaled opposite turnbuckles and delivered their double splash for an impressive victory. From the shadows Tyson T-Bone watched the conclusion of the bout...

Pumped up from the moment he burst through the curtains, you could tell that Will Ospreay was eager to steal the show in his home country and claim the Adrenaline Championship at the same time. Champion Xander Cooper took the mic, revealed that he was so confident that he'd sent Bobby Gage to a management course in Macclesfield and stated there was no way his title would be going to Tokyo for WrestleKingdom in the new year. The latest in a string of instant classics over British wrestling's hottest championship, both men dug deep. Ospreay lived up to his name of The Aerial Assassin by pounding Cooper with dazzling high flying offense unlike anything the FutureShock Faithful had ever seen before. In the end, however, The Ambassador kicked his opponent low and struck with an inside cradle for the victory. Unimpressed by Cooper's dubious show of post match sportsmanship the challenger nailed him with an Oscutter to a huge roar of approval.

All. Bins. Were. Legal. This bout defies all explanation. Much like The Matrix one cannot be told what the All Bins Are Legal match is, one must experience it for oneself. Coming soon to FutureShock on Demand. In the aftermath however, the real story was Zack Gibson's brutal attack on James Drake. Berating him over the microphone to a deafening chorus of boos, he told his former partner in crime that he would never, ever be done with him. “I still run FutureShock!” he declared before dropping Drake on the deck with the Helter Skelter suplex.

Lana Austin has had her issues with Molly Spartan and Jayla Dark of late, not least of which being the mugging she endured at the hands of the Queen Bees at Reloaded 4. Never one to back down, the FutureShock Women's Champion recruited Kasey Owens, a long time foe of both Spartan and Dark, with a view to evening the odds. In the end however a miscommunication led to a clash of heads on the apron and Jayla Dark quickly capitalised for the Queen Bee's first victory in FutureShock as well a s win over the reigning champion. This is far from over.

Soner Dursun emerged to draw the raffle, specially stating that he wanted to thank the FutureShock Faithful for being behind him for the greatest year of his in ring career. The former Adrenaline Champion then stated his intention to move on and put the past where it belongs. Unfortunately the past wouldn't let him leave so easily when Sam Bailey entered the ring and gave Dursun a piece of his mind, leading to his former friend decking him with an impulsive punch. Bailey rolled out of the ring clutching his jaw but with a sly smile on his face. Dursun, aware he'd been manipulated, walked to the back radiating anger and frustration.

Pete Dunne's return to FutureShock Wrestling at February's Underground 25 was revealed as the Faithful chanted for the Bruiserweight. The reigning WWE UK Champion is sure to make an impact once again, much as he did when he became FutureShock Adrenaline Champion.

In the main event Bubblegum and Joey Hayes fought tooth and nail in the final of the FutureShock Legacy Tournament. The prize at stake? A championship match in 2018 and a chance to make history and say that they were the first. A war from bell to bell, both men bore the pain and fatigue of their first round matches. Try as he might however, the Rascal from the blue side of Manchester just couldn't keep Joey Down. That Man eventually prevailed when he locked in a tight crossface, forcing his opponent to tap out. An epic conclusion to an epic show and Bubblegum, no doubt aware of the war he'd been through, even shook the victor's hand and raised it in a show of sportsmanship.

Sirens.

A sound familiar of late to the FutureShock Faithful. They only mean one thing. The emergence of the behemoth, the reinvented masked monster Cyanide. He strode to the ring and assaulted Joey Hayes to the point that Bubblegum gallantly tried to assist. All for nothing in the end as the 400lb force of nature devastated both men with choke slams, did his best to break Joey's back and then all but launched Bubblegum into orbit with an inverted crucifix powerbomb. Clearly Cyanide had a message for the winner, for everyone in the tournament and for Ashton Smith, the FutureShock Heavyweight Champion.

This year marks the inception of the FutureShock Legacy Tournament, a single elimination series that aims to celebrate the company's rich past as well as looking forward to its bright future. Eight men stepped up, now four remain and we can reveal the semi-final bouts due to take place at Underground 24.

Joey Hayes has already clashed with Abel Stevens in 2017, in fact he was one of the self-styled assassin of sass' first opponents during his break out year. At that point a JKO sealed the win but it's a very different, very confident and very aggressive Abel that awaits Joey on December 28th. Can the popular veteran overcome the controversial rising star?

Two matches confirmed for Underground 24, the final FutureShock show of 2017. 

The self proclaimed Ambassador defends the championship with the fastest rising prestige in the past twelve months, the FutureShock Adrenaline Champion. His opponent? The man many consider to be British wrestling's ambassador of late. Sure to be the latest in a series of red hot show stealers.

It was a red hot, sold out crowd at 53Two in Manchester for Reloaded 3 and the FutureShock Faithful were in fine voice. Debuts, returns, surprises and nothing but the best of British wrestling action.

In the opening bout newly crowned Tag Team Champions the Sexy Gents put their titles up against the towering duo of Deadly Damon Leigh and Thomas Wolfe. Sexy Kevin Lloyd and Gentleman John McGregor's finely tuned tag team offence paid off big time as they managed to dump the towering Wolfe from the ring and hit their stereo top rope splashes on Leigh for the win.

Joey Hayes and Xander Cooper were the last two men in the Adrenaline Rush match at the 13th Anniversary Show, battling over an opportunity at the Adrenaline Championship. On that night it was the assistance of Bobby Gage, the Ambassador's young protege, that tipped the scales in his favour. On this particular night a miscommunication led to the allies clashing heads leaving Cooper wide open for a match winning JKO from Joey.

Speaking of the Adrenaline Championship... The atmosphere was incredible as reigning WWE United Kingdom champion Pete Dunn emerged to challenge Soner Durson for the title he had defended against all comers for the previous nine months. FutureShock's home grown star didn't back down from the Bruiserweight one iota and this quickly became one of the hottest bouts in company history. Both men threw everything they had at one another, exchanging blow after blow. At this point Xander Cooper emerged from the locker room, entered the ring and kicked Soner in full view of the referee, no doubt looking to face a more familiar opponent at Uproar 96 on October 1st in Stockport.

Before Mike Fitzgerald could call for the bell Soner grabbed his arm and begged him not to end the bout like that. “This streak means too much to me!” he implored with great passion in his voice. Mike allowed the bout to continue only for Dunne to counter a frog splash attempt with his knees and hit his Bitter End finisher followed by a steel vice like kimura. The FutureShock Faithful were stunned as we had a NEW Adrenaline Champion! More gold for the Bruiserweight and a heart breaking night for Dursun, though he has nothing to be ashamed of in defeat.

Two of the hardest hitters in company history threw bombs at each other as James Drake and Tyson T-Bone threw down. These two WWE UK standouts engaged in an intense, physical match as the FutureShock Faithful rallied behind Drake after his recent actions against Zack Gibson. As it turned out, these actions came back to haunt him. Gibson, initially scheduled to face Drake, had withdrawn from the event but ran in through the Faithful to hit a low blow and roll him back in for a T-Bone headbutt and tombstone piledriver.

After the bout Gibson trapped Drake's arm in the turnbuckle and assaulted him relentlessly. Rolling out of the ring, Liverpool's Number One armed himself with the ring bell and looked set to do serious harm to his friend turned foe. Instead, he told Drake that he wouldn't get off so easily, promising several painful life lessons in the coming months. This would start with a wrestling match at Uproar 96.

Two of FutureShock's rising stars of 2017 took the spotlight as Abel Stevens tangled with J.J. Webb. The ever sassy Stevens allowed his ego to get the better of him and, once again, distracted himself allowing Webb to lock in a rolling half crab for the win via tap out. As he celebrated his first FutureShock victory the lights in 53Two went out and ominous sirens were heard. As the lights came up a masked behemoth stood in the ring. Cyanide had returned with a new look and, if it's even possible to comprehend, an even more vicious demeanour. He subsequently destroyed the FutureShock Academy graduate and just walked away.

History in the making... For the very first time the FutureShock Women's championship was defended in the main event. For over a year April Davids and Lana Austin have been locked in an intense rivalry. One win, one loss and one draw apiece... Two out of three falls would ensure there was a definite winner. These two warriors tore into each other with a ferocity that put even their previous bouts in the shade. Battling in and around the ring, they split the first falls one apiece. In the end Lana Austin wanted it that little bit more, hitting her trademark DDT and then locking the champion in her own Lights Out dragon sleeper hold for the submission.

Both women were visibly beaten, battered and drained. The FutureShock Faithful rewarded them with a standing ovation as April handed the championship to Lana before giving her the ring. A truly epic main event to cap an epic evening.

Full results from the FutureShock 13th Anniversary show...

Thirteen years in the making... Here are all the results and key action from FutureShock Underground 23: The 13^th Anniversary Show.

In the opening bout Wonderland defended the FutureShock Tag Team Championships against long time foes The Sexy Gents. Henry T. Grodd and Noah had defeated their long time rivals at both the 11^th and 12^th Anniversary shows, last year doing so to become champions in a gauntlet match. After much back and forth action Melody attempted to attack the gents, presumably to draw a disqualification. This led to the return of Violet Vendetta, last seen when she was brutally speared by Grodd earlier in the year. Pro-wrestling's pin up took the malicious muse out, leaving the field clear for Sexy Kev Lloyd and Gentleman John McGregor to hit a double top rope splash for the win. We have new tag team champions!

After the bout Melody lost her temper with Noah and Grodd and threw a hissy fit in the ring. Behaviour more suited to an It Girl?

April Davids and Lana Austin could barely wait for the bell at the start of their women's championship bout, charging at each other and exchanging the advantage over and over. Davids, the champion, trying to ground her foe with grappling and submission holds. Austin, the challenger, fighting with a ferocity beyond anything we'd ever seen from her. The fight spilled onto the entrance ramp and both women failed to reach the ring before the ten count, with Davids dragging Austin back by her ankle.

April Davids therefore retained the championship but news came from FutureShock Management that with the record standing at 1-1-1 they she would defend against Lana Austin one more time. That defence will take place on September 17^th in the MAIN EVENT of Reloaded 3 and it will be a two out of three falls match.

Tyson T-Bone emerged with a length of steel pip for his no count out, no disqualification strailer park street fight. Moments later Rampage Brown emerged, attacked him on the ramp and threw him in the ring. The heavyweight warrior from Compton in Leeds then disappeared back through the curtain only to emerge with a steel trash can full of weaponry! Words cannot do the chaos that followed justice as both men tore into each other in a bid to settle their feud. Tyson T-Bone prevailed in the end with a vicious headbutt to a prone Rampage but this bout needs to be seen to believed.

Zack Gibson accompanied James Drake to the ring for his Adrenaline Championship match. Addressing the FutureShock Faithful on the mic, he received his usual warm welcome. A message was than relayed from management that there was a chair for Gibson at the commentary desk and if he left it during the bout that he would be immediately stripped of his FutureShock Heavyweight Championship. Fuming, he left the ring.

The subsequent bout between Soner Durson and James Drake was everything that the Adrenaline Division should be about. Fast paced, rapid fire action with both men putting everything on the line for the hottest championship in British wrestling. Initially booed, Drake started to win the FutureShock Faithful over as the match progressed until everyone was on the edge of their seats. In the end it took two of Durson's signature frog splashes to keep the challenger down for the count.

Soner Dursun will now face arguably his toughest test to date when he faces WWE UK and Progress Wrestling champion Pete Dunne at Reloaded 3 on September 17^th. Drake showed a surprising degree of respect for the champion after the match, even going so far as to shake his hand. Gibson berated his friend over this “We don't shake hands!”. Drake simply turned his back and walked away. “I'm going home.” Looks like Gibson is on his own for the main event.

For more than a year Chris Egan has bullied, abused and berated Jenson Blake from behind his wall of muscle. On this night it was all due to come to an end as Camp Egan, including the self proclaimed Manager Of Champions himself, faced Team Blake in an eight man elimination bout where the losing team captain would have to leave FutureShock Wrestlling. Egan was backed by Deadly Damon Leigh. Thomas Wolfe and his hired gun, subbing for the mysteriously absent Cyanide, Alpha Male Iestyn Rees. Team Blake consisted of Delicious Danny Hope and The Uprising of Don Meacho and Ryan Hendricks.

Eliminations came thick and fast until it came down to just the team captains. Ever the opportunist, Egan distracted the referee long enough for the recently eliminated Damon Leigh to sneak back in and nail Blake illegally with a huge power bomb. When the wild haired man from the NQ kicked out Egan's frustration got the better of him, leading him to spit in his rival's face. Jenson Blake's Pride wouldn't stand for this and he subsequently battered Egan from pillar to post, finally pinning him and sending him packing from FutureShock.

In the first ever Adrenaline Rush match Xander Cooper entered at number one and managed to make short work of both the debuting J.G. Nash and latest FutureShock Academy graduate J.J. Webb. His confidence eroded rapidly when Joey Hayes hit the ring and the match was on. They were soon joined by Chris Ridgeway, Abel Stevens (More interested in sashaying around the ring than competing...), the returning Sparx, Flash Morgan Webster and Bubblegum, the latter of which entered with an incredible vaulting dropkick into the ring. Bobby Gage, ejected from ringside in the opening moments, returned as the tenth entrant and ploughed through the field eliminating many of the favourites! Unfortunately for the young powerhouse his night came to an end when The Ambassador accidentally eliminated his protege.

The bout then came to a one fall match between Joey Hayes and Xander Cooper to determine the top contender for Soner Durson's Adrenaline Championship. A massive JKO cutter from Hayes seemed to secure the win but it wasn't meant to be as Gage had the referee distracted. A snide schoolboy roll up from Cooper was enough to score him the win and the chance to face the winner of Pete Dunne verses Soner Durson on October 1^st at Uproar 96 in Stockport.

Zack Gibson didn't have his usual swagger when he emerged for the main event. Ashton Smith, on the other hand, had a fire in his belly and an answer for almost everything that the FutureShock Heavyweight Champion threw at him. It reached the point that the increasingly desperate Gibson went so far as to assault an already downed referee and arm himself with a crutch, a weapon left over from the streetfight. Try as he might he couldn't keep the challenger down. As he readied himself for one last shot with his foreign object James Drake hit the ring and stood in his way. What would he do?

Gibson was all smiles after Drake turned and drilled Smith with one of his ferocious trademark forearm strikes. The smile faded quickly when his suddenly former friend drilled him with the Mr Mayhem DDT and walked away. Moments later, Ashton smith caught Gibson with a twisting reverse DDT. With the FutureShock Faithful counting along the referee counted to three and the roof came off of the Longfield Suite. We have a NEW FUTURESHOCK CHAMPION and his name is Ashton Smith!
