  1. That 450 splash to the outside through a table was superb. Saw it coming a mile off but my jaw still dropped. Quite a few people on here predicted that ending and the reason why, so it wasn't that surprising. Ellsworth confirmed it on Talking Smack afterwards too.

I missed the tag match but read about it, what was with them putting the title belts around Harper? Is it a New Day/Freebird tag setup, or were they just too tired to hold them...?

  2. Only caught the last hour of the show but really enjoyed the main event, much more so than Hell in a Cell. Also almost liked the Sheamus/Cesaro skit, the acting was a bit off though (it's wrestling, I know). Back in the days of APA bar brawls you'd be like "yeah, fuck em up!" but watching this I couldn't help but think to myself "Gosh, they're going to face a hefty punishment from management. And the police."

  3. Should superstars making their debut generally not have to fight, claw, scratch and battle their way to the top over a decent period of time? Sounds like the show felt fresh and slightly different, and I don't mind Finn Balor but I'm not sure if he deserves to be headlining (or co-headlining) a Summerslam PPV after one nights' work. Still, it kinda happened with AJ Styles and the results were decent on the whole.

  4. I have never watched Nakamura either, but tonight watched a couple of highlights etc on YouTube. I understand the personality side of things, but what else inside the ring makes him (as many seem to say) the best wrestler in the world today? A couple of his best moves are possibly ones WWE won't let him use on the main roster, although I liked the look of the submission/s he pulls off. If 1 or 2 matches could be named for the likes of me to check out, which would they be?

  5. I'd avoided spoilers but, from inklings here and there, I assumed a completely different ending. When it turned out to be basically a re-run of the triple threat finish, I thought it stupid too. Was Corbin banned from ringside at all, because his sort would probably have been thinking of ruining the match anyway, right?

  6. Yep that's how it read like (and often does)....you're reading it, the middle sounds alright, you think that must be the end, then there's a Summer Rae match, and then a Big Show main event, and...jeepers. I'll maybe catch the opening match as I like multi-man bouts, but it's been a long time since I read the results and felt bad that I've spoiled it for myself. I can use the time instead to watch It's Always Sunny, X-Files, Walking Dead and Lucha Underground...

  7. Just caught up with this week's episode, another solid showing. Nia Jax seems to be getting worse for me, but perhaps it's depending on who she's in the ring with. Can't complain about seeing Liv though. I enjoyed Elias a little more this time around but I've no idea why, essentially the same stuff as the last few matches. Perhaps a tad quicker? Also liked Alex Riley's backstage interview, don't think he'll get far but want to see him get a shot.

I've heard (and can see from this thread) that the Takeover line-up is the balls but I enjoy watching NXT without spoilers so it's hard trying to avoid stuff when WWE seems to want to plaster everything about it all over the place!

  8. Last week I was certain Reigns was going to overcome the odds and win, with them pushing the "it's pretty much impossible" stuff. Now he's number 1 I'm unsure because surely they can't have someone at 1 or 2 get to the end AGAIN, it's so boring and unoriginal. Throw him in at 7 or 8, sure. That's what I was hoping for. Think I'm going to go for Triple H getting Reigns eliminated half way through or 2/3 of the way through, leaving the end straight for Lesnar/Jericho/Wyatts/whoever else.

If they have Reigns survive the whole thing only for Trips to screw him at the very end, or even just batter him afterwards, that's just too obvious isn't it?

  9. Just sat through the show, by the end I'm shaking my head going "what the shit is this?!" The crowd were so flat for the majority, as said above it's unclear what they're aiming for (but it is Rumble season, *shouldn't* it be like that?), I also got distracted by the Wyatts disappearing. Add me to the Kalisto and Becky love, but apart from that (and maybe the Outcasts stepping up and trying to have a go at the big bad Wyatts), another very average show.

  10. It read like a really good show anyway, some surprising moments, and I actually gasped when reading that the title will be on the line in the Rumble match. I'm guessing Triple H will cost Reigns the match right at the end, so they fight at Mania, with the title match being elsewhere.
