Good news- heartless cunt Priti Patel has quit as home secretary following Truss' victory.

Bad news- heartless cunt Suella Braverman could be next in line for the role.

Last I read she was going to be the education secretary, which is a terrifying prospect.

  2. Thought we played really well but three mindless bits of defending let us down - letting Kane get the run during the first goal, Steve Cook's idiocy for the penalty, and everyone switching off for the second goal.

The issue is that Gibbs-White, Lingard and Johnson all play similarly - we could've done with Dennis or Awoniyi on earlier or even starting. O'Brian and Williams were the standouts again for us, but I really do fear an absolute whalloping from City on Wednesday.

  3. I played through Escape Academy over the past couple of days; it's a fun little escape room simulator on XBOX game pass; it has a little bit of plot but nothing major. It's good because if you do get stuck, the hints aren't obtuse, it basically tells you what to do so then there's no real faffing around - it doesn't tell you the answer but it tells you precisely how to get to it.

I decided to give Elden Ring a chance, outside of my better judgment…I don’t like it at all. It seems to me as if the boss fights are more about memorisation than anything else; remembering attack patterns and planning your actions accordingly. I suppose there’s something strategic to that, but I have a terrible, terrible memory. I want to enjoy it, but I suspect that it just isn’t for me.

What class are you playing? I worried about it too when I played a melee class, but when I chose astrologer, my moveset was basically roll away, stay away and fire magic at the boss. It worked pretty well...

  5. My dad, getting wind that my mum was planning on buying me and my brother a PlayStation, decided to get a chipped one off his dodgy mate. That didn't go down particularly well with my mother, but me and my brother appreciated it. I remember having Tomb Raider and Gran Turismo, but my fondest memory is playing Spyro 1-3 with my dad and brother - we'd take it in turns and do different things on it; I'd do the platforming and flying, my brother would do the fighting, and then my dad would do whatever we couldn't.

It also led to me falling in love with Final Fantasy IX; the game I have completed most often and enjoyed the most, and I've been a Playstation boy for life - PS1 all thr way through to the PS5, along with a PSP. Never got the Vita, though.

    So, anyone downloaded Stray yet?

Just played the first half an hour or so. The meow button has confused the shit out of my cats, but it's very cute and I am looking forward to playing it more when it's less roasting.
