does it matter if you haven’t played The Last Of Us when watching the show?

Nah definitely not. Watch the show then play the game.

  2. Had our union meeting today, we're setting up a picket so that will be exciting.

Looks like there's about 25 NEU members in school, and 4 staff out on a ski trip, so they're probably going to have to close the school, which is obviously what we want.

  3. I watched three films the past three days - the Weird Al one, which I enjoyed quite a lot, then on NYE I watched Everything Everywhere All at Once, which was phenomenal. Never would I have thought I would feel emotional about a film which included hot-dog fingers. Last night I watched the latest Spider-Man - it's fine. I like Spider-Man, but I'm more excited about the new Across the Spiderverse.

I also watched the Matilda the Musical thing on the 27th - it was okay, but they skipped two excellent songs from the actual musical. Still, the 'When I Grow Up' montage was lovely, and watching the Revolting Children bit AGAIN was excellent.

    Overall, a good few days.

Go to the gym and lose some weight. I've been put on heart medication because of my high blood pressure by my GP, but then the cardiologist told me I really shouldn't be on it at my age - he wants me to lose weight, so after my wife's birthday (13th Jan), I'm going to make a concerted effort to eat better and do some form of exercise.

I also hope that taking better care of myself will make me mentally feel better. I need to stop losing my mind at stuff at work.

I went to the gym today for an induction. It's quite small, and therefore quiet. I did some running and some random chest stuff. I will go back with a proper plan, but it was quite fun.

My only fear is that I think students I teach also use that gym, but they can shut the fuck up.

  5. I lost over a stone on Slimming World but it killed my mental health because it was taking all the fun out of cooking. All the tricks, tips and shortcuts just made me want to die. I'm going to start by cutting out the unnecessary food (pastries in the morning, chocolate at lunch etc.) and then go from there.

  7. The finale was television perfection.

    Spoiler

Wilf completely fucked himself by trying to screw over Kieran. They had Hannah onside in the car to the challenge, and prob could've convinced her to vote Aaron, but he got too greedy and completely shafted himself. Incredible scenes.

Meryl did not deserve any money though

  8. My wife and I binged Wednesday and thought it was thoroughly excellent. The actress playing Wednesday was great, and it was lovely to see the subtle nods to the Addams Family canon, like the double click and the fact that Wednesday was described as creepy and kooky.

We also watched Reboot on Disney+. It's like a version of 30 Rock done by Hulu, and I quite enjoyed it.

Also started Welcome the Wrexham, but the last three episodes I've watched have been pretty sad, and I can't handle the tonal whiplash from "we've won 6 out of 9 this month" to "my baby was born sleeping" in the same episode, so I think I'm going to stop there.

  9. Southgate has absolutely bottled it. Not picking Tomori is fucking mad, especially when the alternatives are Dier, Maguire and Coady.

Phillips is also a ridiculous pick up, and I am really disappointed that Ivan Toney didn't make the squad. I get why Abraham didn't, though. Pleased for Wilson.

So I decided to upgrade to the PS Plus Extra tier a few weeks back and I’ve nearly finished Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Its a great game that could have been a masterpiece if the combat wasn't so boring.

Great Soundtrack, great dialogue, I hope it gets a sequel in the future

Exactly my feelings. The characters were well done, the story was decent, but the combat was so, so boring. I even put it down to easy and it still took fucking ages to finish some battles.
