That's nothing. I used to believe Lion Bars had tobacco in them. In fairness, I was only four so I'd believe anything the local kids would tell me, but it made me always pick something else for years.

I thought Ginger Beer contained Beer and Dr Pepper was made with juiced Peppers. Avoided both for years.

but then I also believed the world was in black and white until colour was invented in the 60’s so my childhood was pretty messed up

Do like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but that's entirely due to the ultra sweet peanut butter.

Any of the Reece’s range is great. Nutrageous, Sticks. Just saw a Reece’s Cup today that had Reece’s Pieces in the Peanut Butter centre in Home Bargains. I hope they have some left tomorrow

  3. Finally caught the recent Murder on the Orient Express. Having not seen other versions I was pleased with how it played out. Great cast but can’t say I loved it. Probably make a great lazy Sunday afternoon film.

    Really enjoyed Coco,

even if I saw the twist coming really early

. Even my 4 year old enjoyed it, though the overall concept was obviously lost on her.

Next up for me is The Shape of Water on Tuesday. Cannot wait for that one

I mean you said "from the name" and not "from the ingredients" but fair enough.

Yeah I can see that but as dumb as I am sometimes I’m not that bad. Either way, overrated bar. If it’s Cadbury it’s got to be a Starbar (aka Peanut Boost)

Which reminds me- anyone that breaks a KitKat in half like they always do in the adverts (straight through the middle WITHOUT splitting the fingers) is a menace.

That’s nothing, I know someone who eats a kit kat eating all 4 fingers at the same time with no breaks. Wtf

What part of Crunchie makes you think it must have honey in? I don't understand your thinking there.

Also anyone who has eaten cinder toffee and a crunchie before should know they're the same thing.

    The ingredient called Honeycomb

  7. Oh I fucking hate Crunchies. Not had one in about 10 years, but my wife likes them. I just assumed by the name that it must have honey in.

edit: just asked her and she assumed it was honey based. Blown her mind

Alex Horne and the Horne Section started a podcast this week. David Arnold is the guest, as hilariously dry as ever.

If you like silly songs and wordplay, it's fantastic. I ❤ it.

Thank you! I listened to it on my lunch break today and loved it. Recommend to a friend who thought it was guff, but then admitted to find Mrs Brown’s Boys hysterical so I killed him.

Very few? Apart from every comedian doing a show at the Edinburgh fringe you mean?

     1) not every comedian does the fringe every year, especially mainstream ones

    2) They don’t do an 1-2 hours. Most fringe shows are less then that.

  10. When you consider very few stand ups do an hours worth of new material a year, Dave was producing almost 6-8 hours per series. A massive amount really and must have been hard work for sure

WWE and Paige seem to be posting pictures as if the retirement is not the case.

While I think it’s obviously terrible timing for Paige to get injured so soon after her return, if an extended rest period or more surgery prolongs her career that’s a good think. But whatever the issue, I would like her to continue leading the stable

Still a shit idea. Why would they skip years of the story just to change it from a positive ending to an upsetting one?

I believe, as I said, it ends the night of her raw debut, and I’d imagine there will be text after the film of what happened after, like most biopics. That’s all I meant

They can change the ending to the movie they have made about her and the Knights if so as it’s not coming out until later this year.

Fuck's sake. And you wonder why people downvote you?

That was not meant as a joke. I think it’s bloody terrible, but I can see how that’s come across, but that wasn’t my intention Nonce. It was because of what Paige had recently said about it. On the Lilian Garcia podcast she was talking about how Stephen Merchant was going to end the movie. As far as I could tell it ends on her Raw debut, but imagine they would change the text after the final scene, as they often do in biopics.

Ospreay cut a promo at Rev Pro a couple years back saying he wasn’t going to be wrestling as much the next year because he was in pain with his neck etc. Carried on a full schedule the next year while still doing the same style

Exactly. I know he is trying to do the best he can but he’ll be the next Dynamite Kid or Daniel Bryan rather then having a long career. Maybe he wants to get done by 30?

Lance Storm and Cyrus did discuss the fact that Paige has had to have major neck surgery before the age of 25 on their podcast recently.

Although they acknowledge she started at 13, they did raise an interesting argument about how wrestlers these days are too reckless with themselves and each other.
Don't get me wrong, I am in no way saying Paige is reckless in her style, however after his neck surgery a couple of years ago William Regal also warned the younger generation to take less risks [apron bumps, head drops etc] because it will catch up with them eventually.

I have the same fear with  will ospreay. He was doing the crazy stunts like you see at NJPW in school halls with 100 people. The fact you see him having so many matches after just having cupping isn’t a good sign either (again at WK 12, you could see the marks on his back). He was even talking about how bad his body was with Scrobious pip about 2 years ago. These up and comments need to be more protective, especially when not on the big stage

Two and a half episodes into the newest series of The Black Mirror, and I think it’s a big improvement over the previous series.

I think it went downhill actually. I think it maybe time for Brooker to leave it alone. The last episode (Black Museum) was probably my favourite of this run, on Hang the DJ. But he either needs to spend more time in-between runs writing or just stopping.

Inside Number 9 mind you seems to get better and better. Two amazing episodes

Kingsman, I gather theres a sequel out?  I'll be actively pursuing that and I can't say thats been a thing for a while.  Good fun.

Kingsman - The Golden Circle, is a hot mess. For me not a patch on the first. Still had some good sequences in it, but also a lot of crap filler and nonsense in it as well. Lower that expectation and you will probably enjoy it more.

She would walk around before the show waiting for fans to stop her for a photo at one of the tna shows I went to. I'm sure a queue formed too.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

i was ring crew at a Wembley show for a couple of shows (the one with Hogan and the one the year after). You are correct she was in the crowd and they were acting like they were meeting The Rock or something! Also, no wage, food or drink supplied, only for the talent. I never even got treated that badly on the smallest UK Indys!
