Cinemagique closed? I remember being pleasantly surprised by that. Love that RNR is being re-themed, its generally a great indoor coaster (only bettered by Mummy IMO) and the Aerosmith theme was always a bit naff for me.
I did prefer the idea of retheming it to a Monster Inc Door Factory ride though, but I dont think that would realistically work on such a fast paced ride.Â
I believe that's the plan still in WDW

Yes, but... but that bit where Michael Clarke Duncan talks to you at the start!
hey they show a clip from Tron in that bit so I like the pre-show, more then the attraction actually. I was devistated when they closed Cinemagique down though (which is going to be the first Marvel attraction)

Not Armageddon too! ðŸ˜
it's terribly dated, no-one ever goes in and its closed a lot due to the lack of crowds. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when I believe. I would say that is the perfect reason to book a trip now, as it may not be around forever!

Saw this morning that Disneyland Paris is getting rid of the Aerosmith Rock’n’Roller Coaster and putting in an Avengers one. They’re also going to do out Hotel New York and make it Marvel themed.
I’ve got really fond memories of the Aerosmith ride so will be sad to see it go, but I admit an Avengers ride makes me want to go back to Disney even more than I already do (the other half will never be convinced but I live in hope!). I remember Hotel New York being nice but it’s probably due a revamp.Â
Does this mean Aerosmith are completely irrelevant now? I mean, more than they were?
I loved their recording studio scene before you went in, and the timing of the Coaster setting off to ‘Back In The Saddle’ was just amazing - I loved that. Great little shop at the end too.Â
I don’t know what to think!
The Paris version was always seen as a pale imitation of the WDW one (longer scene in the studio, you get in a supersonic Limo, theming of the ride is the LA Highway etc). I liked both but its a long time coming. Lets face it, back in 2001 Aerosmith were not even that big (fact fans, both the Rolling Stones and Kiss were approached first but money/popularity were the issues. Aerosmith had hit big with the song from the Disney Armageddon film). It was rumored to change to Hannah Montana about 8 years or so ago so lets be thankful of that.
The meet and greet with Spiderman is directly across from the ride exit, Armageddon is due to close in the next few years for a new attraction, so I can see that side of the studios become Marvel Studios (and when the ToT gets changed to Guardians, its been delayed but I reckon next 5 years) it will all make sense.
As to the other half, just book it. I know too many people who didn't want to go absolutely love it

Obviously having a kid is on a whole different level, but I have recently become a manager at work with an autistic member of staff
good lad, really keen to get stuck in - but almost too keen in that he sometimes comes across to some as trying to run the show when I am not there (and I am assuming wildly this is due to his condition)
Â
Being blunt to somebody not on the spectrum, I would say "focus on your own job and don't be the big I am"
but I have no idea how to manage this; Anyone been down this road?
this is the other thing with regards to the spectrum. Granted, as I said my child is 3 and we have a long road ahead, but you get people who have Asperger's, ADHD etc also now on the Autistic spectrum. We have someone with Aspergers at my job and his behavior sounds pretty similar. As Chest said, when in doubt go to those people who are there for that kind of guidance.

My nephew is autistic, but not high on the spectrum. Even then I struggle sometimes to explain things to him in a way he will understand.
In my early knowledge the spectrum is very hard to define in what is low medium and high because of other variables. If you don’t mind me asking, how old is he?
Lincoln is just starting to understand certain things we say. As he is NV if he wants a drink he gives me a cup. If he’s hungry he will grab what he wants and give it to us to open. He has a very beige diet, but eats various fruit but no veg. Even hiding it doesn’t work

So why did I start this thread?Â
This morning my son woke up screaming at 2:30 this morning. It took almost 2 hours to calm him down. He is non verbal so finding out what is wrong is almost impossible. Me and my wife often don’t get to sleep in the same bed because of it. It has caused us some issues and I know I need to accept and understand the situation better. Most of my friends do not have any kids with autism. So I thought by sharing this/startingvthis thread if anyone else was in a similar position it may help.
ive had a couple of PM’s so if you want to do it anonymously you can do that as wel, but anyone who can relate/offer advice please do
-
I appreciate this could be fairly niche for a topic but does anyone have any kids with Autism?
i have 2 kids, my youngest who is 3 was diagnosed last year. He is non verbal. It’s been very hard to get to grips with it and understand just what Autism is. I’ve been able to attend some support groups and courses but not as many as my wife.
Â
just wondered if anyone else was in a similar situation and if so we could use this as a support thread of sorts

It's one of the things that turns out great in an Instant pot (or i suppose an electric rice cooker). I do a 1:1 or 1:1.5 for any rice other then Brown which is a 1:2 ratio for me

Scott Pilgrim vs the World-Have no idea how I'd avoided this for so many years and I thought it was an absolute joy. Mary Elizabeth Winstead>everyone else

I hate cheaters, but you can’t blame Ewan McGregor too much in this situationÂ

Any other recommendations on films like these would be more than welcome. Cheers.

500 Days of Summer. Sure, it made me hate Zoey Deschanel for ages but it’s quite a nice film actually. Forgetting Sarah Marshal maybe too much of a comedy for what you are after but Mila Kunis is adorable in it

Just saw The Post. Typically safe late career Spielberg but still very enjoyable. Nice companion piece to the much superior All the President's Men and Spotlight.
So Devon, what are your thoughts on his next films being Indy 5 and West Side Story (Ready Player One is already finished)?

Hastily-edited, shit Twilight fan-fiction though they were, the Fifty Shades series were ludicrously successful financially. No Hollywood studio needs more motivation than that. They're getting their money's worth for what they paid for the rights, which, I'd imagine, was probably a substantial sum.
True story, in my TV days I worked with a lady called Erika Leonard. She gave me my first crew job for a Kasabian concert. Really sweet woman. She left that company a few months later and then a few years after that became famous for writing Fifty Shades of Gray under the pen name E.L. James. Totally not what I would have expected from her at all. Always the quiet ones thoughÂ

Mentioning a film has a twist is as bad as giving a spoiler. It's one of my pet peeves.Â

I believe The Shape of Water is on general release on Valentine's Day. If so, go to that rather than Fifty Shades. It's beautiful, and there's almost certainly loads more tit than there will be in Fifty Shades anyway.
Just saw this tonight. I expect it will seeep the Oscars. I think I preferred Three Billboards as a film, but this is a piece of artÂ

Name the last Disney/Pixar animated film that didn’t have one? Plus it’s been out a few weeks now, how long are we supposed to remain spoiler free?

We'll be chatting with Ed Nordholm, Scott D’Amore and Don Callis tomorrow for the mag if anyone has any questions we can try to ask?
Who do they think would win in a fight between a badger and a baboon?

Failing that, if they could bring back 1 wrestler from their past who would it be?

Few places on Twitter saying that Jeremy Borash is going WWE. If he has left Impact they may as well close shop as he was keeping that place togetherÂ

bloody hell sounds a right mare. That Michael Jackson area was for Captain EO, a 4D film in the building behind it. They re-showed it after Jacko died for a few years. Directed by Francis Ford Copala, produced by George Lucas, was once the most expensive film of all time based on its 18 minute run time.
