  1. So I’ve only watched the highlights but I’m actually quite happy with the ending....bear with me

As I was watching it I was thinking “they are totally setting this up for Seth to hit him in the head so many times he eventually gets pinned but went down valiantly” as this was happening I was getting more and more stressed and anxious about the pin that was about to come and then.....the ref called for a DQ. I was so happy and relieved.

So yes it was a terrible idea for a match in the first place and a terrible finish and it ruins things a bit, but it didn’t completely kill off the Fiend, so I’m grateful for that!!

Just a shame when it comes to the point that you have to be happy that WWE went with just a completely stupid idea instead of a completely f*****g stupid idea

  2. Signature moves ending a match. Not finishing moves but the secondary moves. It almost gave a wrestler more than one finisher and more near falls. Like Undertaker could win with a chokeslam, Rock had Rock Bottom and People’s Elbow. I don’t think Roman Reigns has ever beaten anyone with a Superman punch so why should we care when he hits it.

  3. I was pleased they ended the streak as keeping it in tact would be great, but at the end of the day it doesn't mean the same as in a sport where someone is undefeated, this is entertainment and it made for a great moment.  What annoys me is that Brock should have carried on killing people and kept the title until someone came through and avenged the fans and beat Brock Lesnar.  That person would then be the MAN! But they haven't done that and now Brock has lost his steam.

It feels like they are building Brock Lesnar up for...nothing.  They need a superstar who can come in and counter Brock, not just a fluke victory.  Someone who can get the better of Brock, so we can see good triumph over evil.  They just don't have anyone.

  4. Miz vs Wyatt could be good as they are polar opposites.  Miz in his celebrity lifestyle is something Bray could easily fight against.

Its really annoying that they had a good opportunity to turn Bray Wyatt face and they didn't.  When the Rock was bigging him up and saying how great he was, if Braun and Rowan had of just decimated the Rock, until Bray started looking at the crowd and then getting cheers and saving him, that would have been a good rub.

  5. WWE need to work out who is their target audience.  The PG rating and merchandise and the presentation says family viewing, aiming it at youngster.  However this demographic wont purchase the Network as much as an older audience.  They kind of have a PG show on an adult format, if they want to go the Netflix route, then the product needs to appeal to that demographic

  6. Don't ask me why storyline continuity keeps me awake at night, it just does...So....

Big Boss Man came into WWF as a heel, he was a bad policeman, who then turned good for a bit, but then left and came back as a heel again.  So he spent most of his wrestling career as a bad guy, abusing his power and driving off with people dead relatives.  His period of being a good guy was brief and short lived.  Does this mean that before he came into the WWF he was a corrupt and bad policeman, in which case Nailz was right, he was mistreated and Nailz was just mis-understood all this time and is actually a good guy??????

    Poor Nailz

  7. I dislike the pop up power bomb and liked it even less on Henry. It exposes it too much as the opponent has to jump in the air to get into position and just looks far too unrealistic, especially with Henry. Are we really to believe Owens can grab under Marks pits and throw him into the air like a baby

  8. Random musing.  I was thinking that Roman Reigns needs new music and attire otherwise he just looks like he hasnt moved on from the Shield and found his own identity.  But then I was watching a Bret Hart match and realised he kept his tag team gear and music.  I cant think of many single stars who have broke out keeping their original look/music/gimmick from when they were in a tag team.

Plus I wish they would put some wrestlers in ring attire.  Ambrose for instance.  Its like we are stupid and need to see him wrestle in a vest and jeans to know he is a "rebel".  He just doesnt look like a wrestler.  Im sure if Stone Cold was breaking out now, they wouldnt let him wear black trunks and would have him in his t shirt and jeans and Million Dollar Man wrestle in his suit.  Its like all wrestlers have to fight as if they are hasbro figures.

  9. As a kid watching this when it was aired on a monday night back in 88, i was over the moon that Hulkster stayed in the ring and celebrated, he was my favourite wrestler and Macho Man my second.

I agree.  I think with hindsights we think he was stealing the limelight, but to me when he handed the title over to the Warrior, it signaled a changing of the guard and him passing the torch as opposed to taking eyes of Warrior.  Plus it has happened since then as a storytelling device, loser congratulations winner to show no hard feeling and is often done in babyface vs babyface matches.

  10. Was watching some old clips of Goldust the other day and did find it weird how he was a heel for having gay tendencies. Although was it meant to be more that he fondled and groped other wrestlers and that was his heel tendencies?  So it being less about him being gay, more about him being sexually innapropriate.  I didnt watch wrestling avidly during that time so dont know.

I do find it strange how all of Goldusts defining characteristics when he first started are now gone.  Maybe he could start to be a bit more flamboyant the heels dislike him for it because they are narrowminded.

I agree with what people say about a gay wrestler maybe not working as the fans might not take them as a face and may treat them as a heel.  But also I would get annoyed because you shouldn't just cheer someone because they are gay, there has to be more to their character otherwise it becomes a bit 2 dimensional.  Plus I hate it when wrestlers become romantically involved with anyone, men or women, hate the relationship angles.
