Just found a song on Spotify by someone called Monteasy the song is Roman Reigns (heart of a warrior), would make a great theme for his heel run, worth a listen.

Sorry don't know how to add link

That chorus is brilliant. Great for his character too to have a song saying how great he thinks he is

  2. Love my Hasbros. Spent ages buying them again off eBay as I sold them as a kid, darn Car Boot sales.

One thing that used to wind me up was the headlock figures. Why? They can’t really do much and their waists are just so skinny!

I know we probably all used other toys as wrestling figures, but did anyone’s Hasbros ever do double duty? So my Greg Valentine was often Dusty Rhodes as they had the same colour hair and attire. Plus Macho King was Hercules

  3. I don’t think Sting needed to reinvent himself, he moved with the times and change things up too much and it waters it down

HOWEVER....Sting did “The Crow” then incorporated “The Joker”, if he did reinvent himself what cultural icon could he pay homage to next? I’m saying Sting “Joe Exotic”. Painted on tiger face, tries to run for President and gets married to Darby Allin and Jungle Boy.

Any other ways he could reinvent himself?

  4. Just seemed really odd to me, as do a lot of these “farewells” but even more so with Taker due to the gimmick. Here’s a man who’s the Phenom, a creature of darkness. He walks alone and has mystical powers. Oh but here’s some of his mates he bonded with on the road. Oh remember this person he had a feud with? Oh yeah they are mates in real life. But then here’s Kane his brother who he burnt in a fire at the funeral home. Don’t forget the BSK his mates backstage.

Just doesn’t sit right for me. Do this as a separate show out of character, out of the world they are presenting as wrestling. I’d have loved the Undertaker to have gone similar to Royal Rumble 94 or his Buried Alive marches. Gets defeated. Put in a coffin or grave. Some fancy effects. Undertakers spirit leaves WWE forever.

  5. I agree if you are part of a company as a character you can’t do external stuff, it has recently happened with a Coronation St character actually. However the difference for me is that in WWE they seemed to be hire as independent contractors with no union or protection. Which is fine if that’s how WWE want to do it, but then you have to treat your staff as independent contractors. It seems WWE wants all the loyalty and benefits of a person being a contracted staff member but with none of the perks or commitment on WWEs side.

    "Make some noise!"

WCW 1999 is a good shout for rubbish ringside setups. Pigeon grey everywhere to go with the bird shit logo up on the ramp. Gone were the comic book logos, the Nitro flames, nothing on the ring aprons, everything all lit the same. All after a deliberate initiative by Turner execs to freshen up the look of the product.

The Russo era gets a huge thumbs up for me, though! They went for a big time boxing look with the lights and blue ring canvas.

I was stiff when Bischoff and Hogan brought back the four sides as well. Contentious, but it turned it into a proper looking promotion for me.

Just looked on YouTube. It does day make some noise. 2020 has been a rough year for me

  7. Just been watching some stuff recently about how Michaels oversold for Hulk at Summerslam to make a mockery/fun of the situation. Watching as a fan at the time I thought it was brilliant. I didn’t think Michaels was sabotaging. I just thought it was a classic 80s match with my hero Hogan and his punches are so strong they make the opponent bump all over the place. I actually liked it.

Watching a wwe top 10 on YouTube about miraculous superstar landings and have found my favourite bump ever. Johnny Nitro, Carlito and Shelton Benjamin are in a triple threat and there's a monkey flip spot which nitro just nails perfectly.  It's beautiful. It's number 8 on the link if you want to agree with me.

This video just reminds me why I’ve gone off wrestling a bit. 10 & 9 should have been match ending.

  9. Twitter and other platforms are great for giving people an opportunity to speak where they didn’t have the platform before. Allowing for confidence and people to come forward and support each other.

However we also need to be careful of trial by Twitter. It isn’t the justice system and there’s a reason for that. It allows any person to pick “holes” and start critiquing or victim blaming when people shouldn’t have to go through that from the public. But it can also lead to people being labelled guilty without the proper processes.

I do a Quarantine Quiz every Sunday at 7:30pm but tonight I’m going to be wearing my “Million Dollar Man” inspired drag. Don’t know how to post pics lol

There’s occasionally been a wrestling question but people tend to get them wrong.

    Q. In what company in the 80s would you find a Warrior, Giant and Macho Man

    A. The Village People?
