Sounds like a dream rather than a memory. Savage defended the belt against Shawn in Sheffield in 1992 as per the UK Rampage tape and he and Flair never appeared on the same show in the city.

The European Rampage Again Tour (Sheffield) is a House show produced by the World Wrestling Federation on September 28, 1992 at the Sheffield Arena in Sheffield, England.

  2. I’m probably remembering it wrong as I was a kid. But I seem to have this memory of seeing a house show in Sheffield which was in 1992. Flair was champ and he faced Savage. Savage went for the elbow, Flair got his foot up and then pinned him clean. I remember being shocked that there was no shenanigans.

Or then again it could have been Earthquake against IRS. Or a Beverley?

It’s like if WWE brought The Rock back to build a feud between Miz and Alex Ryder back in the day, or something.

The Miz vs School boy spy Alex Ryder has money written all over it.

  4. I don’t agree that every time someone is released they say they should be picked up by AEW……

    But……

……Regal definitely should. I can already see it being hilarious when he meets Orange Cassidy, his confusion at Luchasaurus, his disgust at Eddie Kingston.

  5. As a gay man I’ve never found wrestlers sexy, maybe it’s just coz I’ve grown up with Hulk Hogan and Hacksaw Jim Duggan (I’m sure someone finds them sexy. Bubbas wife does Hogan)

But AEW defo has the prettiest guys. Hangman, Hook, Jungle Boy, Andrade, Sammy, Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page, Wardlow, Ogogo, MJF, Bowen’s and even Cody. Then you got Darby Allin for the mean and moody ones. Hell even Billy Gunn is now a bit of a DILF.

However personally it would be Cash Wheeler for me

If I was set a challenge of either having to sit through a full episode of Raw or Strictly, I'd say bring on the dancing.   That's how shit I think WWE is right now.

Merge the two. Have Tess and Claudia commentate RAW. Celebs in tag team matches with their professional wrestler. Anton Du Beke as the ref. Craig Revel Horwood is the ultimate heel GM. Do a Bruce Forsyth memorial battle royal.

    KEEP WRESTLING

Darby Allin has the best suicide dive in the history of the sport. Looks like he puts every ounce of energy into it, with zero regard for his own safety, to hit his opponent as fast and as hard as possible, with whatever body part gravity determines to hit first. Everyone else should just stop doing it. They’re all weak as piss compared to Darby.

I think that’s why I can’t fully warm to him. He makes me feel uncomfortable seeing him put his body on the line. Like seeing an old unprotected chair shot.

  8. Not sure if I’m getting mixed up but I seem to remember an article on Vlad in an old WWF Magazine. I think he said when he died he wanted his ashes put into the Undertakers urn and to be thrown at someone?!?!?

  9. Started trying to get into AEW these past few weeks as miss a bit of wrestling (stopped watching WWE a while back).

I enjoyed this weeks show but really thought Christian was going to lose his first match and then quickly turn heel as the “out work everyone” got him nowhere.

Also I was so confused with the Cody and QT storyline as it seemed to me that Cody was the heel. Just so patronising

Jake Roberts' finisher the DDT stood for "Damian's dinner time".

the rumour I heard was it was called the Deadly Death Trap

Theres was also a rumour the day after Wrestlemania IX by some kid who had stayed up and watched it. He was telling people Hulk Hogan was champion and we told him he was a liar as Hulk wasn’t even in the main event.
