The Escapist is great, I seem to remember the ending splitting people at the time but I went with it and found it to be an effective conclusion.
Â
Brian Cox is tremendous. I've recently been re-watching the Bourne films (Ultimatum is the best, Legacy the worst, none are bad) and he just adds a sense of weight and importance to every scene he's in. It's a shame he shares his name with that insufferable science muppet who seems to be all over TV lately.

It's been hit and miss so far but tonight's Kevin Eldon show, It's Kevin, was hilarious. The cartoon strip segment especially.
-
Broadchurch is good.

My 8 year-old nephew just watched the Cena promo on Raw and remarked "I've got a feeling John Cena is gonna become a baddie soon". Was his promo really hinting at it so much that an 8 year old kid could pick up on it?

I think that film would break my cock.

A lot of places will add MSGs which unfortunately give my fianc

Did they drop the ball with him? I've never seen his stuff outside of TNA, but the few times he was there he was bland and did nothing to warrant them handing him the ball in the first place.

Frankenweenie
Â
Tediously drawn-out and you don't care about anything or anyone in it. Not a disaster to the extent of Tim Burton's other recent works, but how this got widespread acclaim, I'll never know.
Â
Shit, isn't it?
Â
I recently watched The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, which is much better than it's marketing would have you believe. From the trailers and advertising I thought it would be some shitty Twilight-esque film, but it's much more than that. A surprise hit for me.
Â
I also watched Wake In Fright. Anybody seen this? It's also known as Outback in some places. An Australian film from the 70s, it's stayed with me for days and some parts are genuinely terrifying.

I'm afraid to say I found Totoro to be rather boring.

Can I ask, how highly do people rate Brian Fallon here?
Â
He's fast becoming an icon for me, in the same way Springsteen, Morrissey and Dave Grohl are.
Â
I mean, I'd say Gaslight are the greatest straight ahead rock n roll band in the world right now but his side project, The Horrible Crowes are bloody excellent, too. Their album is a blues-y, Tom Waits-y masterpiece. The lead single Behold the Hurricane is a modern classic.
Â
Annnnnnd, I've just discovered his demo's for an aborted solo project that are just beautiful.
Â
Lyrically and musically, he's just ace.
Â
I completely agree. He's up there with Springsteen for me in terms of musical heroes. Everything he does is just gold.
Â
If you enjoyed the demos, you should check out his pre-TGA bands. This Charming Man, Cincinnati Rail Tie, Amping Copper and Surrogate McKenzie. There's also a demo of his own solo songs floating around which he recorded when he was 16 called The Coffeehouse Sessions which is poor quality but shows you how talented he was even then.

Carbomb, big spoiler in your post there for those of us who didn't know any results of the UK tapings.

Really? Bo Dallas is fucking shit and he's got one of the worst looks I can remember.. He looks like an uglier version of Generation Me.

It was okay. It's definitely gonna disappear up its own arse, but I enjoyed the first episode.

ShortOrderCook is the best looking guy I've seen on any forum ever. Christ you're fit.

Is that Vampiro? Looks like Johnny Rotten!
-
Cracked up at 'Mike Check', good stuff.

Is there anywhere I can find a full list of every WWE DVD release?
Â
EDIT: Never mind, there's a list on Wiki.

I love it, but then I'm of the opinion that he's never made a bad album.

Gladstone's sig reminded me of Hunted. Anybody been watching it? Seems like a decent Spooks replacement at the moment. Melissa George battering blokes twice her size is pretty fun too. I like the Alberto Del Rio-looking gangster bloke despite him hardly appearing so far.
-
Red Skull was the worst part of the Captain America film anyway. Such a boring character.
-
The best song to ever come from a Pop Idol/X Factor contestant is Will Young's 'Leave Right Now'.
-
To be fair, she only appears one month a year during X Factor's live shows. Every year around about now she releases a shitty single and then disappears for eleven months.
Â
Bleeding Love was good though.
-
I have to admit, I'm loving Saturday Morning Slam. WWE know the audience of that show perfectly and the matches are always good fun. Rey Mysterio giving a 619 to McGuillicuttys arse was a great spot.

I'm fucking sick of Johnny Depp.

Maybe he genuinely likes the album? Just a thought.
