Throughout the night many TNA wrestlers made appearances at the Angle house in comedy vignettes. Such gems included: Roode making Ms. Brooks sit at the kid's table, Black Machismo confusing Awesome Kong for Kamala, and the inevitable food fight.

It's best to view all of the Texas Chainsaw films as stand-alone, separate entities as they all contradict each other. I actually enjoyed all of them, although the first one still scares the shit out of me and is easily the most effective. You should watch The Next Generation simply to see how baffling it gets in the last 20 minutes.

Good point.

Nobody's forcing you to read the Top 50 threads.

I just cannot get into PES2014. I've put hours into it since last week, playing it for most of the weekend waiting for it to click, but I can't. I'm just completely shit at it. I'm okay defensively (although the opposition does have an annoying habit of having one shot on target all game and still scoring), but going forwards I'm awful. Taking one too many touches so the keeper/defender gets to it first, smashing it wide when the goals right in front of me, awful misplaced passes in the final third. The thing is, I can tell there's a cracking game underneath if I could just improve at it, but it doesn't look likely. This new shooting/through-ball system has killed me.

Angle vs Jarrett at Genesis 09 is probably my favourite TNA match ever. It's either that or Roode/Aries at Destination X 2012.

Bullet To The Head is class. A proper old-school action film. Stallone is on top form. "What, are we fucking vikings?"

There's a world of difference between Miz and Anderson. Miz's biggest drawbacks are that he looks like a wetter and can't cut a face promo. He was one of the greatest things about WWE TV from 09-11. When he cut that promo walking from backstage to the ring talking about JBL putting him down, I remember watching that thinking I was seeing the birth of a great heel. You could see him improving in-ring and on the mic week from week. He was going from strength to strength and I think his downfall was they gave him the title too early, made his Wrestlemania presence an afterthought then when he seemed to finally be getting some momentum back with the Awesome Truth, they cut that while they still had legs. If anything, I don't think his 09/10 work is appreciated enough.

Mr Anderson had one good cage match with Kurt Angle and everything else he's done has been unremarkable, forgettable or plain shit. If anything, he's got worse than he was during his Smackdown run.
Â
EDIT: Although truth be told, I've not watched any TNA since February so Mr Anderson could've got better. Has he?
-
I think he's a terrific babyface in the ring, it's just his promos that let him down. Whether that's down to the script or his delivery I'm not sure, but it's definitely something that needs to be worked on. He could and should have a higher position up the card than SummerSlam host.

Did anyone catch Run on Channel 4 last week? Got them recorded and watched the first one so far. It's very good, Olivia Coleman in particular is good in it. Very gritty British drama, which Channel 4 seem to do better than anyone.
Â
That's the best episode. Unfortunately the other three are rather unremarkable.

Just ignore the last few posts. The World's End is great.

Anyone seen The Worlds End yet? Saw it last night and while it's undoubtedly the weakest of the Cornetto Trilogy I still really enjoyed it. I do think it suffered in having a group of 5 friends, instead of just focusing on Pegg and Frost's characters, as I thought the relationship between Shaun and Ed then Nicholas and Danny were very well done in the first two films. While the friendship is still there, having 3 others does take away from it a bit. It's a lot more action-y than the others as well, and I thought the fight scenes and most of the chase scenes were well shot. Quite a few chucklesome lines and moments but I think this will be the one that in years to come that fans will quote the least. Wasn't too sure about the final scene either. Still well worth a watch though if you're a fan of Pegg and the previous 2 films.
Â
I thought it was excellent. After rewatching both multiple times, I now think Hot Fuzz is funnier than Shaun Of The Dead, but I didn't laugh at either of them as much as I did The World's End. I didn't like some of the plot turns, but in terms of laughs, it's my favourite.

What did people think of Spring Breakers? Jeff Jarrett was in it!
-
What's the general consensus on TNA's 2013 then? The last episode I watched was 7th of February, in the UK. Is it worth catching up or should I just jump back in with the most recent episode? Have I missed anything particularly great?
-
Christian might look a bit weird these days, but he's still pretty great isn't he?
Â
My girlfriend had never seen him before and she said he looked like a 'gay dad'.
Â
I like him but I really do think he more than anyone in WWE just looks like a "normal bloke". He never needed to be world champ either.

His World Title series with Orton was one of the best feuds of that year. In fact, a few of those matches can be added to the 'great Randy Orton matches' debate going on a few days back.
-
I thought his Iron Man match with Cena was one of the best of that particular year. Blinding match.
-
You're not missing anything, 300 is shit.

I'm very happy to see the back of Matt Striker. He was a rotten commentator and interviewer.
-
The Americans is great fun. Anybody else watching?
-
Cheers! The Prince of Queens is a shite nickname though.
-
Watching Raw last night, I mostly came away thinking; who is the one lumberjack guy, standing with his back to the hard camera? Grey vest with 'Queens' on the front and yellow boots/shorts iirc.
-
It's a rubbish decision. I actually like the new Bond films and I like Nolan's Batman films, but I have no desire to see his take on Bond.

I think there's as much chance as it being a lesbian admirer as there is of the admirer being Quentin Crisp, to be honest.
Â
I doubt he means it in a lesbian way. I'd like it to happen to be honest, but lets be honest its either the Bella's peeing about or Hornswoggle is getting a new squeeze.
Â
Cody Rhodes would make sense but it seems they dropped that storyline.
Â
I think the commentary team have already mentioned that Cody isn't the admirer.
What have you been watching on (proper scripted) telly?

Definitely agree with this. The whole show could just be those three and I'd be happy. I loved when the old couple were reminiscing about their trip to Paris. 'You had your purse robbed.'
